I would like to express my thanks to the team at Exeter Eye Surgeons. Mr Quinn explained the procedure and associated risks - this allowed me to make an informed decision without any pressure. On the day of surgery there was no rush and everyone took their time to explain the process. I now have 20/20 vision without glasses - it has changed my life after 52 years of wearing glasses.

What can I say about Spa Medica Exeter. The whole process from referral to pre op, to actual cataract surgery was a very good experience. I am a nervous patient and deaf to boot and everyone took time to reassure me and help me understand the process. The staff are lovely, the surgeon excellent (handsome too), so you have huge thanks from me to you all.

Several years ago I had my left eye cataract removed and a replacement lens fitted at a local public hospital - I had to have a general anesthetic because I suffer from severe anxiety and claustrophobia. Whilst it was successful there is always a risk with a general anesthetic at my age (70) - I recently needed my other eye to have the same procedure and searching the internet I found Mr Quinn who comes highly recommended. Mr Quinn and his team assured me that I could have the same operation with only sedation and assured me I would be OK. - I have since had that operation and I can confirm that Mr Quinn and his team were superb - In my opinion I could not have been treated better - I received the best of treatment and all of the staff treated me fantastically well and yes with just sedation I remained calm and the operation was a great success as I was reassured at all points of the procedure and I can 100% say that I highly recommend Mr Quinn and his team - thank you.

I am so pleased with my eye sight after having lens surgery on both eyes two weeks apart. I was nervous and decided to have sedation on the first eye but as it was pain free that I didn’t bother to have the sedation with the second eye. Mr Quinn and his team were amazing and walked me through every part of the process step by step. After the op there was no pain and within 24 hours my vision was better than ever. Wish I had done this years ago. Now I am glasses free!!

Have recently had Toric lenses put in both eyes due to cataracts. I was very nervous about the operations after a shaky NHS appointment. Dr Quinn spent the time to take me through every question I had and all possible outcomes, easing my concerns. Both operations were very successful, and having lost 80% of my vision at 26, I can say with utter confidence, Dr Quinn has changed my life! My vision is incredible! All of the staff at Exeter eye were caring and professional! When it comes to your vision, don't take it for granted, and chose the right team, which is Exeter Eye!

I thought that I would just drop you a line to report on the Strabismus operation that I had done on my eye, by Mr Quinn, on 20th March 2020. Five weeks have now gone by, and I have to say that the operation has transformed my life for the better.

I can now see perfectly well to be able to drive during the day, and also in the dark, without any of the problems that I had before. Even watching TV has been made better, as everything is now in proper focus, and my eyes don't ache like they used to. Clearly the re-alignment of the one eye has made all the difference, and I now wish that I had had it done years ago. However, it is one of those things that you do not realise is a problem as you are going on in life, and just take it that your eyesight is deteriorating due to age. As a bonus, I have not even had to get new spectacles, which is good.
The service offered by Exeter Eye was exemplary all the way through, and I would have no hesitation in using them again, if the need arose.

I have had both cataracts removed by Mr Anthony Quinn and replaced with toric lenses which means that as well as being able to see very clearly, my problem with astigmatism has now been resolved. My first eye was replaced with a lens for distances and the second was a lens for closer vision. I can now dispense with glasses for most of the time and only require them for close work in poor light. An excellent result.
Both operations went very smoothly and I would recommend both Mr Quinn and Exeter Eye.

I had cataract extractions and lens implants in both eyes late last year - the procedures being about a month apart. Tony Quinn was simply brilliant and I have nothing but praise for him and his supporting colleagues. I'm 61 now and I'd been very short-sighted since I was a toddler; wearing as I did a variety of thick/heavy glasses and irritating contact lenses. The cataracts had started to have a real effect on my vision, especially when driving at night, to the extent that I was losing a lot of confidence. However the before and after contrast in the quality of my sight (and the consequential improvement in the quality of my life - especially sporting & outdoor activities) has been unbelievable. I was blown away by the fact that by just having a couple of painless (if maybe a little bit uncomfortable for a while) short procedures the quality of my sight could be improved so dramatically. It was like switching from sepia to glorious Technicolor. My new artificial implanted lenses are perfect. I have great long sight and I only have to wear off the shelf glasses for reading and computer work. To anyone who's worried about the process and holding back I'd say just do it. Yes there are risks but these are explained very carefully and I for one was very happy to place my trust in this fabulous surgeon (and great bloke) and his excellent team. Tony Quinn was very careful, caring and understanding throughout and I had complete confidence in him & his abilities. The whole process went very smoothly and the outcome far exceeded expectations.

My husband works here and they are great employees so anyone thinking of using them should do as they have very good ethics for staff

I have had a LASEK laser surgery performed by Dr. Anthony Quinn earlier this year. Prior to finding Exeter Eye surgeons and making my decision I have had consultations with 2 other ''well known'' companies but did not feel confident neither happy with consultations...and there pushy sales teams calling every day for a deposit.

After my first consultation with Dr. Quinn I immediately knew that I was going ahead with the procedure. He explained everything extremely well including possibility of side effects that may occur.

He gave me all his contacts (including mobile & home numbers) and said that he is there for me and I can contact him day and night should I have any problems or concerns about my eyes.

The most important thing for me was the fact that Dr. Quinn showed his care and I was not just a number for him.

For the first time I felt confident and genuinely understood everything I wanted to know about the procedure. I was very close to my dream.

On the day of the surgery I was looked after by a team of nurses, who were very helpful and nice. I was explained everything that was happening and was emotionally prepared. Surgery only took approx 20 min and I returned home shortly after it.

Each day after surgery my vision was improving and I could not be happier. I now have perfect vision and do not have to wear those uncomfortable lenses that made my eyes dry neither glasses.

I would recommend this clinic and Dr. Quinn who made my dream a reality.
