From drop off to collection, the Papanui team are easy and professional. They serviced our two Trek Verve bikes, their communication both automated and verbal was fantasic.

Store doesnt give refunds on exchanges / upgrades
Bought a topeak saddle bag and wanted to upgrade it to another model - Evo Hornby wouldnt take it back even though it was in 100% new condition / told me to sell it. Stupidly bought the better model - should have gone elsewhere to a company that values customers.. wont b back....
Aramex was used
The courier company Aramex was used. All information, including address, instructions on how to leave as I am in a gated apartment building and my mobile phone number were given. More information is now needed on the tracking app after a day of "its on its way". But no phone call. No parcel delivery. My experiences with Aramex are consistently poor, but other couriers manage to deliver to me. I will not order anything from EVO again if you continue to use Aramex.
I made use of Evocycles Frankton workshop
I made use of Evocycles Frankton, because I am needed a Bosch motor replaced. I knew what was wrong with the motor and only wanted replacement. After I explained the same thing to 5 different people at different times they informed me that the motor needed replacement. Fine. They then mentioned some shifting problems, but I’ve been building bikes myself for 25yr and said that I’ll do it. After I picked up the bike it was obvious that they force the new motor in and squashed the outer housing of the shifting cable and also broke the shifter by trying to force it. I took the motor out and noticed that they also trapped some of the electronic cable in the groove for the motor mount brackets. Very disappointing, considering that they worth their labour at 100$/ hr. The job was 200$ more expensive than a quote from a Taupo bike shop. I had to spend 3 hr of my time putting new gear outers in, reinstalling the motor correctly and rebuilding the shifter!

I bought a bike for my grandson which arrived promptly. But I also received a very nice phone call from a staff member. I was left with the genuine impression that customer care is very important which is rare these days.
Bought 2 tyres from evo cycles online…
Bought 2 tyres from evo cycles online tyres showed up in different packages 2 days apart..one was the right size the other wasnt..i emailed them and he replied i can go into the shop to exchange.
I replied i cant as i have work commitments hence the reason i bought online.
He asks me if i have access to a printer to get a return label sorted..
I told him i will use the wrong size tyre as i dont have time for what they wanting me to do.
Its a $40 tyre just send me another one..
Wont be buying off evo again and will recommend friends in the biking community not to either!!

Child safety issue - unacceptable handling!!

Then quickly refunded as soon as they received the notice of hearing from the Disputes Tribunal!!
Bottom line: If you buy a faulty product here, you will most likely need to go to Tribunal to get your money back.

Quick response
I had lost the key to my Thule bike rack, and their site recommended calling EVO. The person on the other end of the phone quickly established what I needed and told me they would invoice me that day and have one sent to the closest EVO shop near me within 3 to 5 days
After going into many bike shops with poor or no customer service. I found EVO fantastic. Great customer service, friendly staff.
