How Everest Pharmacy and Mounjaro Reclaimed My Health
Mounjaro is an incredible medication, but a tool is only as good as the clinician guiding you through it. For me, that lifesaver was Osama at the Whalley Range branch of Everest Pharmacy. He didn’t just dispense my medication; his holistic monthly guidance, lifestyle coaching, and genuine human care helped me completely rewrite my future.
To understand where I am today, you have to know where I began. I spent a long, dark year entirely isolated inside my bedroom with the curtains firmly closed. My lifestyle was dangerously poor: I was smoking, drinking copious amounts of coffee drowned in milk and heavy cream, eating rubbish snacks, and living with terribly disrupted sleep. Before I knew it, my weight had skyrocketed to 85.5kg (13½ stone). I was entirely stuck, both physically and mentally.
When I finally reached out for help, Osama met me with zero judgement and a brilliant, step-by-step strategy. He started me safely on the introductory 2.5mg dose to let my body adapt comfortably. He knew I couldn't overhaul my life overnight, so he tackled my habits block by block. He didn't just look at the scales—he looked at my whole life. He coached me through cutting back the dairy, helped me choose nourishing food over junk, and looked closely at my sleep habits to find a better rhythm. He paired this with a simple piece of advice that became the foundation of my recovery: "Just start by walking around the block where you live."
Because of his encouraging, open-door policy, I knew I could pop into the pharmacy whenever I hit a roadblock or had a question. When the time was right, he expertly guided me through my transition up to the 5mg dose, ensuring my side effects were managed and my momentum never stalled.
Just 9 weeks later, and my life is unrecognisable. I have lost a total of 12.15kg (2 stone) without losing any muscle—melting away over 14% of my body weight. I am now in bed by 11pm and up at 6am, hitting the gym five times a week, dancing, meditating, and doing yoga on Sundays. I no longer smoke, and I now drink only water. I actively invest in my health, tracking my daily protein to the exact gram, and batch-cooking nutritious homemade meals, which I freeze. My energy is electric, my sleep is deeply restorative, and my smart-scale metrics prove that my internal biological age is running over a decade younger than my actual age of 63!
I still have one final stone to lose to reach my ultimate goal, and my last consultation with Osama proved why his care is so exceptional. We didn't just look at the next pen; we mapped out an in-depth, plan to come off the medication safely and sustainably when the time is right, ensuring I keep this weight off for the rest of my life.

Missing medication and lack of consideration to patient care -I have had to go to the pharmacy…
I have had to go to the pharmacy several times because my prescription was not complete. When my prescription was transferred to Everest there were no problems and then all of a sudden every month it all went wrong and when there were missing medication no owings slips to let me know. I was without my night meds for a week and went into depression because of it. My next monthly meds came and my depression started to deminish. I am giving them one more chance before I go to NHSE and the GPHc. Last month I was sent a message with my meds listed I confirmed by message and they still missed my painkillers. I didn't have the energy to fight any more. If this month has missed meds I will take action. They are messing with my health and I am not the only one other patients go in with complaintsas well. If I need to change my EPS nomination I will. My complaint is dated today but covers the past 3 months.
