Straight forward process - even I could manage it!

The platform is easy to use. Transactions go smoothly.

I have only just invested with Ethex so can't speak about how reliable the investments are but the process has been very easy and it's great to know that your money is going to be used to support organisations doing great things in the world. The information was very clear about the way the money is going to be used and the risks involved. Would definitely recommend.

I like to support social enterprises which have a positive impact on the community. Ethex provides a great platform and does the due dilligence for me to do this. They also provide an IFISA wrapper where appropriate which simplifies matters enourmously

Seems like a good platform, the only reason I have done 4 stars rather than 5. I have yet to see how they handle the payouts from my previous ripple energy solar and wind farm earnings.

Well they have a good goal but the delivery is awful.

I have been pending approval for months, no contact ignoring my support requests it took 3 weeks to get a response to a support request related to this and the response did not read my problem and asked me to do exactly what I said I could not do due to the problem I was having.

So maybe the product is good the other side but setup and support is not good

I invested in Derril Water Solar Co-op because I wanted to support renewable energy while earning a return from a community solar project.

Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. The solar park has experienced a prolonged shutdown due to electricity network constraints. According to the latest member update, this has had a significant impact on the project's revenue, and the planned member payments for August 2026 and February 2027 will not be made.

I also understand from the latest update that there are currently no funds available for the co-op to buy back members' shares, and that shares cannot simply be transferred to another investor.

I appreciate that the current situation is related to wider electricity network issues rather than necessarily a fault with the solar farm itself. However, from an investor's perspective, the practical consequence is still significant: expected payments have been suspended and there is currently no straightforward way to exit the investment.

I hope the ongoing work with the network operators, the independent assessment of future grid curtailment and the revised financial projections will eventually provide greater clarity for members.

For anyone considering an investment in a similar community energy project, I would suggest carefully considering not only the projected return but also the risks associated with grid constraints, project liquidity and the ability to exit the investment.

It isn’t that easy to understand what is required. I was told that my investment money Would be put into the opportunity I’d accessed. Also, Ethex email said I’d get a confirmation email once the investment I’d chosen had gone through. It didn’t happen. Eventually I went back and chose the investment and put in the money. It isn’t terribly clear for new users.

Really easy and transparent process. Highly rate this feel good investing platform. Make Money Do Good

Clear information and engagement on renewable investment opportunity.

1. The ‘read this first’ policy is a welcome change from the usual hard sell techniques.
2. The construction of the investments so I can pitch in a little and, again, not feel under pressure.
3. Setting up the investment vehicle was relatively straight forward.
