I have been going to the same Esso station in Cochrane Alberta for the last 1 year and 6 months to be precise and more then often I get an error at the pump while using the app saying Try again later I had made too many purchases IN RED AT THE TOP OF THE APP SCREEN when i actually had made none. That's is been an on and off ongoing issue EXTREMELY frustrating as I drive for a living and my Esso card is linked with my pc points card as well. So when I get that message THOSE are the steps I have to take after word I have to go physically in the store pay with my credit card and show my pc optimum then go gas up and grab the receipt the after getting home I have to do a pc point inquiry to get my points missing as they double the points if you pay at the pump with the app! that's a lengthy process ! I had ask the store manager if he had seen that error in the app with other client and confirm that I wasn't the only one! I had open a BBB compliant only to have Esso calling me and closing my complaint saying that It was an isolated incident and perhaps it was my phone that could be the issue! After getting that case close and those comments! I will right away try shell app at there near by Shell gas station and see how it goes! if it goes like normal like an app is suppose to work Then Esso would of effectively loose me as a customer permanently ! They are thieves! They are price gouging all the time! The gas prices changes multiple times a day. And they are always at a higher price than other places.. they are crooks!

This esso price gouges so much! Everything is so expensive! The gas always goes up before other gas stations. And goes back down after all other stations. Or they put their prices up for e few days when everyone else's prices does not fluctuate! They should be held accountable. Why is this legal anyway? It's so wrong in these expensive times especially! I will start going elsewhere.

Don't buy it. I have 2 cards ( $100x2) cannot process in 2-3more gas stations. email to their customer service with photos, no reply. call they said because the card no. on the receipt not match the photo of the card no.
I got the card from my fried as gift, how can I ask him to search the receipt for me ? without receipt does it means the card is invaild? They can check the balance from their website to confitm it.
They don't do that, just ask you to provide receipt, Very disappointed and irresponsible. Very bad

Il servizio clienti non fornisce mai una risposta risolutiva alla richiesta del cliente, trincerandosi dietro al fatto che le stazioni di servizio a marchio Esso sono affidate a gestori esterni. Pertanto se il gestore esterno non onora i suoi impegni, come nel mio caso dove non mi rimborsa da quasi un anno la somma equivalente a una mancata erogazione, un cliente non potrà mai ottenere ciò che gli spetta. Io non farò mai più rifornimento presso stazioni Esso, come me tutti i miei familiari che ho messo al corrente di questa incredibile vicenda, mai avrei pensato ad una simile disavventura

Esso mobil1 stations need to fix this egift/gift card issue, I have used multiple egift cards and a debit to complete a purchase before in the past, so I dont know if it was this gas station employees error or what, but when I went to use my new gift card, I wanted to pay some on gift card and rest on debit, I dont know what the employee did, but it froze the gift card funds and wouldn't let me complete transaction. Regardless employee should NOT even be able to cause this issue. So from now on if im going to use a gift card im assuming the employee is hitting debit and is just assuming your garbage computer system can figure it out, im going to use a little on debit first and then egift card so if there is an issue I'll immediately do a chargeback.

Mi rivolgo a loro per il cambio bombola gpl Duster. Passo da loro il 20 marzo per prenotare e sapere il prezzo della revisione dell'impianto e rimango i miei dati al ragazzo della pompa. Mi dice che mi farà richiamare. Passano i giorno e nessuno si fa sentire. Allora il 31 marzo vado di persona e riparlo con il ragazzo, che dice che ha passato le info alla signora che si occupa della cosa. Vengo richiamato stesso in giornata, mi dice che ci vogliono euro 400 e che loro REGALANO IL PIENO DI GPL QUANDO CONSEGNALO L'AUTO. Mi chiede se per il 4 aprile vada bene, ma io non ci sono. Per un emergenza mia moglie prende l'auto per andare dalla madre e viene fermata dai vigili: multa. Ok colpa nostra, ma se si fossero sbrigati a chiamarci e ordinare le bombole tutto questo non sarebbe successo. Comunque porto l'auto il giorno 8 e gliela rimango. Il giorno successivo vado a ritirarla alle 17.35, la signora mi vede, mi saluta da lontano e continua a far rifornimento alle auto insieme agli altri addetti della pompa. Dopo 9 minuti e più di 10 auto che serve lei, prendo mia moglie e mio figlio ed andiamo via. Dovevo portare il piccola in chiesa. Ritorno di nuovo alla pompa, ma questa volta la signora subito corre, da le chiavi ed il libretto a mia moglie, che va via subito. Prendo i soldi, chiedo se fosse possibile uno sconto, ma lei mi propone uno sconto su la prossima revisione di una qualsiasi mia auto. Ma se ho solo questa, è le bombole si collaudano ogni 10 anni, ma che razza di proposta è ? Vado via e torno a casa con l'auto di mio cucino prestata, chiedo a mia moglie se avesse visto il selettore del gpl se fosse al massimo delle tacche , ma lei mi fa vedere che è rosso. Alla faccia che NOI REGALIAMO IL GPL. Questa è stata la mia avventura. Fate voi le vostre considerazioni.

Received a $100 gift card for Xmas. First time I tried to use it it failed. Didn't even acknowledge the card. Tried at 2 different stations, same result. Attendants can't even tell you who to call. Tried calling esso " customer service". 2 calls, each over 30 minutes, no answer. Tried contacting by email Jan 3. Got a response saying they would get back to me asap. On March 6 I contacted them again since I had not heard anything. Got a response today ( apparently they did have time) saying there is 78 cents on the card and tough luck to me. They have our $100, we have nothing and they can't be bothered to care. Absolutely shameful way to run a business. Stay away from this company.

Used to have a Seat Cupra R, 225bhp and it always ran best on Esso Synergy. I have a Volvo V70 now and always use the regular diesel, since I've been using Esso diesel it's been giving much more MPG. I prefer Esso out of all the other fuel companies.

I lost my esso points card about 4 month ago and sent emails with proof of purchase shows my points on it .
4 month , emails back and forth , still nothing !
I had about 26000 points .!!

Back on Saturday, July 30, 2016, I was in the area and stopped into the 6255 Bathurst Street, North York, Ontario Canada M2R 2A5 location and was greeted by Bhavan!

We had a very friendly conversation and I just wanted to say a Big Thank You for taking care of ME as your customer today!
