Flawless service from Eric Robinson Solicitors on the purchase of our first property. Chantelle was incredibly professional and prompt with all lines of communications and requests - making the whole process very easy. Being first time buyers we had never had experience with solicitors and we are incredibly happy with the service we received.

We chose Eric Robinson expecting a premium service to match the price. That was a MISTAKE!

Sylvia Garcia handled our case with shocking incompetence, repeatedly asking for documents we’d already sent, being absent at key stages like exchange and completion, and failing to communicate who was covering our file. Her lack of diligence also led to an unexpected total of 2.5K in extra charges she claimed she “wasn’t aware of” and never disclosed upfront. We had no choice but to pay.

There was no apology, no accountability, and no recognition of the stress caused, on what should have been a straightforward, chain-free transaction. I dealt with this while heavily pregnant, and the experience was overwhelming.

If you’re buying or selling, AVOID this firm. Paying more does not mean better service, go elsewhere and save yourself the cost, stress, and frustration.

Used for conveyancing to sell a property - Emma and Megan were absolutely fantastic! My buyer's solicitor was a nightmare and I was very impatient to get the sale completed, but they did a brilliant job of moving things along. Eric Robinson acquired Merriman Solicitors in Marlborough, a professional, efficient friendly practice and have turned it into a faceless, non-communication slow organisation. Having recently instructed the practice I found them so difficult to deal with as there were long delays in responding to emails and in some cases no response at all, phone calls were only returned after chasing. In the end decided to cut my losses, pay their bill and walk away. Have since found another local practice who are interested and treat you as an individual.

I had a poor experience with this firm. Despite clearly instructing them not to proceed with a certain action to avoid extra costs, they did it anyway and added the charges to my bill. They also carried out a procedure that any competent solicitor should know is not accepted by the court, which meant I paid for something completely pointless. I would advise others to be cautious, as I ended up paying for work that should never have been done.

AVOID - The attitude and customer service of these solicitors is beyond apalling. They do not respond to queries unless it is on their terms, if you ask them to treat something as a priority they want additional money. We ported our mortgage and because they did not understand the process for Halifax even though it was clearly written they decided to withold half of our profit from the sale and as this was 2 weeks before christmas we did not receive the funds until January. They speak to you like you are a child and are very patronising - They really are shockingly rude and unhelpful - Avoid at all costs!!!!

Miya was great to deal with at Eric Robinson Solicitors. Everything was explained to me clearly and she always came back to me quickly.
