I've never had a better experience with a teaching agency than l've had with Engage Education. From day one, Chris Rushton has been nothing short of outstanding. He is genuinely one of the most supportive, professional, and proactive consultants I've ever worked with. He checked in regularly, listened to what I wanted, and made sure every placement suited my needs perfectly.

I haven’t worked with Amber for long, as I quickly secured a permanent placement, but in the short time we worked together she was incredibly supportive. She put in a lot of effort my behalf, chasing up different parties to help secure my permanent role. As a supply teacher, I also appreciated the good notice she gave for bookings and her effort to get me early placements. Amber has been proactive, reliable, and dedicated, and I’m grateful for everything she did in the short time we have worked together.

The people are incredibly nice and co-operative. Grace Lampard in particular has been extremely helpful when I have any questions regarding bookings or any other queries.

Engage education has provided many different opportunities for me and allowed to experience different environments to improve my personal development in teaching/mentoring the next generation. My manager grace Lampard is always there to give help and ensure I’m supported.

Very poor service and rude staff. Once you register they promise you work asap, however you will wait months and after that they will tell you your file has been deactivated after not working for “3 months”. Their staff will also ignore all your emails and messages regarding work, or you will then receive a call from them and they will belittle you. If you change from full to part time or part time to full time, they will respond to you with an email saying “they have no work for you” or are “unable to provide you with work”. This company did not help at all and are very unreliable.

Katie has found many teaching opportinities since I started teaching through Engage. She is professional, reliable, friendly and does her best to accomodate my preferences.

This is my first experience working through an agency after nearly 14 years working in private nurseries. The process from registering to getting a position was easy and stress free thanks to Grace Lampard. If I have any questions during my current role, Grace is very quick to get back to me.
I have no regrets.

My experience with Grace Lampard at Engage Education has been exceptional. From onboarding through to bookings and placements, her support has been nothing short of outstanding and professional. She has been incredibly helpful and is always willing to go the extra mile to secure a placement that truly works for you. I genuinely appreciate her dedication and excellent service.

I’ve worked in education for over 10 years, both as a permanent member of staff and through several recruitment agencies, and this is honestly one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

They lure you in with an SGP contract, claiming you’ll still get paid even when there’s no work. This is misleading. Once you read the small print, you find out that even when your contract is active, you don’t get paid during September and January if there’s no work. On days when you should be paid despite not working, they’ll do everything possible to send you somewhere to work if there isn’t any work in your usual area. The will sometimes send you up to 20 miles from home.

They also claim you’ll receive full pay when there’s no work, but you actually only get 80%. To make it worse, the contract becomes void during the first and last weeks of each half term, but these specific weeks aren’t listed anywhere. They simply tell you afterwards when your pay doesn’t add up or make up the dates as they go along.

Everything is paperless, which should be convenient, but consultants that cover Essex, particularly Havering, Thurrock and Redbridge often fail to ensure timesheets are approved by schools on time. This has caused underpayments on several occasions. This is a breach of employment law in the UK — specifically a breach of contract and potentially an unlawful deduction of wages under the Employment Rights Act 1996.

When I asked for an emergency payment after being underpaid, Bridget Hicks lied and said it couldn’t be done. She also said, “This is not the conversation I want to be having on a Friday afternoon. There’s nothing I can do ! you’ll have to wait until next week!” Meanwhile, Amber Cloona ignored my calls. I emailed and called repeatedly, but was ignored until the following week. This happened more than once.

I was also sent to a school 20 miles from home with no parking available. They promised to reimburse the parking cost but never did. When I followed up, I was passed between consultants and never repaid, which leaving me out of pocket.

After a school complaint, I emailed Bridget Hicks explaining that I felt discriminated against and raised my concerns formally. She ignored my email and instead called me, speaking aggressively, belittling me, and completely dismissing my concerns. She used her mobile instead of replying by email or her work phone, clearly to avoid leaving written evidence and phone call recording of her unprofessional behaviour.

I even referred a friend to the agency (after being honest about my experience). She accepted a long-term role through them, but I was never given the £50 referral voucher they advertise.

Overall, this agency has been unprofessional, misleading, and unreliable. They do not honour their own contracts, fail to pay correctly or on time, and ignore legitimate concerns. Their behaviour breaches basic employment standards and shows a complete disregard for fairness and professionalism.

For daily basis jobs, They try to call one day before or they call as early as possible in the morning. They have been paying on time and more than other agencies.
They are more popular in most schools than other agencies. I always have been meeting Engage Education agency employees in schools where I have been working long term, weekly or on daily basis.
They respect and value all their employees.
They are always trying to make all employees happy and satisfy.
I am so proud that I am Engag Education employee.

I got given the agency though a family member, Grace Lampard was fantastic! she helped me though all trails and gave me continuous support and encouragement throughout the process!
