First of i would like to state a disclaimer: I am not a professional musician, nor have I ever played an instrument in my life. I went into this hyper fixation with little to no prior knowledge.

When I got interested in learning to play the steel tongue drum I was sucked into a rabbit hole of music I hadent expected, I watched a ton of YouTube videos to get an idea of how different brands sound, I also searched forums for recommendations from experienced players. But when I came across the first kosmosky in a video comparing 3 different brands I instantly fell in love. The sound was amazing but the drum also looked incredibly unique as compared to the others, I knew I had to get one!
Kosmosky makes quality tongue drums unlike any other brand on the market, at very decent prices!
If you are a massive audiophile, there might be more "highend" options available, but these will also cost you 2-3 times as much as a kosmosky. Even so a kosmosky drum is by no means a cheap product! When you look at it, touch it and play it you are never in doubt that it's a quality instrument made with a lot of care and love for the craft.
What makes Kosmosky truly stand out among their competitors in my opinion, is the option to get your drum custom made to your liking. You can choose scale/tuning, colour and even get your drum engraved with the most beautiful designs. Kosmosky offers a wealth of different tunings, and you can easily find what sounds best to you by listening to the sample youtube videos provided on their web store. The engravings are stunning and makes the drums stand out like a conversation pieces!
Kosmosky boasts a 4-5 weeks production time for custom made drums. In that regard I was "unlucky" as unforseen circumstances had the team move workshops shortly after my order was placed, I ended up waiting 5-6 months on my drum. Through it all Kosmosky remained very responsive and did the best they could to answer my questions, their customer support team in general seems to be world class and really cares for a good personal customer experience!. Even though the wait was longer than expected, the final result was worth the wait! I was so awed by the final product, how it felt playing, and how it looked that I was instantly hooked! Buyer beware: this is an addictive hobby, within 3 months of receiving my first custom drum, I have ordered another two, and this time around the production time looks to be on schedule!

Customer Service is top-drawer. So very helpful with selection and assistance. DHL kept me informed during the transit and the packaging held up well to the journey to the USA. The Duotone is absolutely beautiful and the note sustain is just eternal. I'm a beginner but enjoying the learning process immensely. Could not be more pleased!

The tongue drums here are top notch products. I now have 4 of their products and each is very different and beautiful in sound and looks in thier own way.

Beautiful and well made quality! First of all the process of purchasing this drum was made easy and the customer support is very responsive and friendly which made the experience much more fun for a beginner. I am so excited! It arrived today and it is as beautiful as advertised. The Kosmosky team is amazing, they will communicate with any issue, I felt heard and understood by them! The way they conduct is profession, effiencient as well as friendly . The New Wave I ordered is high quality in material and most of all sound. Ya'll, it is butter on the ears! I am so thankful to have come across their Youtube videos, thats where I first heard the New Wave and was enchanted from the word go. Now I just need to learn how to make this drum sing for me! Thank you so much Kosmosky team for what you do and putting up with all the questions and concerns I had! I thank God for your talents and that you are willing to share them with us!

The Kosmosky Team was excellent. The purchase, communication, and invoicing went smoothly. They had relevant suggestions regarding my purchase, and advised alternatives to things I had selected which would not have worked with my drum.

-1 Star for a couple things. It was not immediately obvious to me which currency the prices were in, local Dollar or USD. It was USD, causing some sticker shock, but also largely my fault for not researching deeper. The main reason is the courier, DHL. I expected a bit more peace of mind for their services, the route was (understandably) circuitous, DHL charged import duties, (also not their or Kosmosky's fault, but the price kept creeping up), provided two different delivery date emails, and while the delivery was 'signature required', they dropped the box and departed. It was clear the box had spent overnight in a truck, and was slightly bulged to conform to the drum's shape. No damage to the drum as far as I can tell, but the packing peanuts seemed to have shifted away from the top and bottom.

I didn't want to deduct 2 stars for DHL, but the delivery did disappoint me. I regret not going for the more expensive, and hopefully, superior courier option that was available. Kosmosky themselves were great, 5 stars, but overall I must give a 4.

Excellent customer service and communication. My husband loves the drum, it’s amazing quality and so fun to play.

Shipping to Australia is quite pricey (but very fast!) and be aware you will have to pay an extra $120 in import tax to get it through customs. Kosmosky went above and beyond to ship the drum to me prior to Christmas.

I just received my Kosmosky New Wave 15 tongue drum today and I love it! It is everything I expected and more! Great customer service with prompt attention to any concerns or questions I had. I highly recommend Kosmosky and plan to buy a second drum soon!

The communication was okay, at first. I bought a gift card for my girlfriend, and I received the card in about a week or so. However, she placed her order almost month and a half ago, and it took Kosmosky over three weeks to even acknowledge her emails or give her an estimate on when she might receive her item. In fact, they didn't respond to her until she gave up trying and posted a negative review on Trust Pilot. This shows us that they may not be very good at checking their emails, but they pay attention to negative reviews. She has not received her drum yet, and she ordered it in December. It may be a great drum, however, I am embarrassed that I gave her this gift card and she has received such poor communication with that company. Their excuse was that there was a Russian holiday, and my girlfriend ordered a custom item, but it still shoudn't take 3 weeks to answer a simple question. All we wanted to know was a rough estimate for delivery. The estimate they gave us has passed, by the way, and we are still waiting for the instrument she ordered. We had planned to buy more instruments in the future, but we likely will not buy again from Kosmosky. I may update this review if we receive the item and it is exceptional or they go out of their way to make amends. I sincerely hope that this is not a new trend for Kosmosky. They have such a good reputation on the internet.

The tongue drum is a work of art and craftsmanship. The sound is Amazing. Echoing tones are rich as I was expecting from this
instrument . I am a first time buyer. Once I can play this drum,
I will certainly be looking at another in my future. Customer

I’m the proud owner of Kosmosky’s New Wave Symphony chromatic drum pair. What can I say: amazing drums (beautiful sound, phenomenal craftsmanship). I took a leap getting these drums. They’re not cheap, but they’re so worth the investment. The big drum has a gorgeous sound, and I’d have been more than happy with it alone. But I’m glad I went all in on the second drum (which also has a gorgeous sound). Having a fully chromatic double octave run opens so many musical possibilities. Anyway, I can’t praise these drums more highly. But I have to add: Kosmosky’s customer service is outstanding. I had a pretty serious concern about my smaller drum when I received it. Kosmosky was quick to respond when I reached out to them, and they bent over backwards to address my concern. This company stands fully behind their products, and they really work to meet their customers’ needs. In short: fantastic drums, fantastic company. Both get my highest recommendation.
