This was my first visit to Nepal in November 2025 and I booked two treks with Eco Holidays Nepal - the Manaslu Circuit and a 12-day hiking trip to the remote Upper Mustang region.

I had an absolutely fantastic time on the Manaslu Trek. Eco Holidays hired Shankar as my guide and he was an amazing guide and person - he is knowledgeable, timely, professional, and courteous and has a wealth of experience guiding in many areas of Nepal. He regularly made smart decisions to stay at smaller, less crowded tea houses so that we did not have to wait in lines or queues to order meals, use the toilet, etc; I heard other people complaining about these concerns whom were staying at the larger hotels and tea houses. Shankar regularly checked in with me regarding the high elevation and altitude sickness, and I felt very well taken care of by Shankar. He also kept a watchful eye on the weather, and we ended up going over the notorious 5100-m Larke Pass one day earlier than expected to avoid potential stormy weather. In summary, Eco Holidays provided a very manageable itinerary to safely acclimate to the high elevations and Shankar and I were able to make it to Manaslu Base Camp (4800m) as well as over Larke Pass (5100m) without any problems and leave with a plethora of amazing photos and experiences!

As for the trek to Upper Mustang, a road has recently been built connecting Jomsom to Lo Manthang village and I was worried about spending days walking along a dusty road with jeeps and large transport trucks speeding by & blowing engine exhaust in my face. But after mentioning these concerns to Eco Holidays, they provided a revised itinerary for Upper Mustang that followed old trekking routes & goat / yak trails and entirely avoided roads. Eco Holidays hired the very experienced Rakesh as my guide - he has 22 years of experience as a guide in pretty much every region & corner of Nepal. This trek was very isolated and remote, as other than the hosts we saw at tea houses, we ran into maybe ten other people while on trail during the entire 12 days of trekking - and three of those people were yak herders or goat herders! During these nearly two weeks of trekking in Upper Mustang, Rakesh led me past the isolated Chungsi monastery cave. We stayed in the village of Dhakmar that is surrounded by fiery red cliffs & sky caves that reminded me of the cliffs and caves of the southwestern USA. We climbed and clambered through the numerous rooms and hallways of the Jhong Caves, a 5-story sky cave complex outside of Lo Mangthang. We had mint tea and fired juniper incense with one of the monks at Luri Cave Gumpa (monastery). And after we hiked over steep Paa Pass, we were chased by two wild yaks and had to run for our lives! Then we had to route find part of our way to the old salt mines of Tetang Village after finding a portion of the trail had experienced a landslide and that section of the trail had become a cliff face. Trekking in Upper Mustang with Rakesh was truly a once in a lifetime experience!

I’m really happy to write this review after my second visit to Nepal and completing the Annapurna Circuit Trek with Echo Holidays. Just like our first trek to Everest Base Camp, Dhruba once again provided impeccable, friendly, and personalised service. He took the time to understand our needs and helped us shape an itinerary that suited us perfectly.

The trek itself was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Anjan, was not only experienced and knowledgeable, but also kind, patient, and genuinely fun to be around. We always felt safe and well looked after. Our porter, Prakash, was equally wonderful ,always cheerful, supportive, and incredibly hardworking.
Thanks to the entire Echo Holidays team, we had another memorable adventure in Nepal. I would happily choose them again and highly recommend them to anyone planning a trek in this beautiful country.

My tour was the Langtang valley trek from Eco Holidays Nepal .My guide Basu was tremendous. He is a trek leader and his number one priority is safety, he is knowledgeable and informative, which was what I wanted , being a 66 year old doctor. The trekking is world class but quite demanding and Basu had my back throughout the trek , never being far from my side to make sure that I didn’t get injured. Also. , he didn’t try to pressurise me to take any tours that were unsuitable for my age and balance issues. I am pleased to recommend him to anyone, but where he gives added value is to anyone with balance or fitness issues, because of his ability to assess what someone would be capable of without condemning them to an unsuitable holiday ,like so many people I have encountered in the past.
Finally , I’m planning to use his services in the future, because he will be able to provide a trek which will suit me without endangering me.

Great experience local people friendly and welcoming. Eco holidays run great packages, my trip trek was 14 days, relaxed and great fun. Great service from guide & sherpa. Not only did I crack everest base camp, but I also climber higher 5644 meters on kala Patthar to get great shots of golden peaks. Thank you Eco holidays.

Ich war 5 Wochen in Nepal unterwegs, 4 davon in Mustang. Ich habe Dhruba, dem Eigentümer von Eco Holydays im Vorhinein sehr genau mitgeteilt, warum ich nach Mustang reisen möchte und worum es mir dort geht. Im Unterschied zu den meisten anderen Reisenden wollte ich eine Kulturreise, kein Trekking. Und im Unterschied zu den 9 anderen Agenturen, die ich auch angeschrieben hatte, hat Dhruba sofort verstanden, worum es mir geht. Ich war mit Rabin, unserem Guide, Ras, unserem Fahrer, Hari, ein angehender Guide und einem Jeep unterwegs. 3 von den 4 Wochen war auch ein Freund von mir dabei. Rabin hat sich total angestrengt um alle unsere Wünsche und Ziele zu ermöglichen und unseren Aufenthalt so komfortabel zu gestalten, wie es Mustang halt erlaubt. Und Ras hat uns sicher auf den unglaublich schlechten Pisten gefahren. Wir hatten tiefgehende Gespräche miteinander und wir hatten es auch sehr lustig. Die 4 Männer haben uns eine unglaubliche, berührende und unvergessliche Reise ermöglicht. Ich danke euch sehr und wenn ich wieder nach Nepal komme, will ich wieder mit euch unterwegs sein!

Visiting Nepal has been a dream, and without much pre planning, landed in Kathmandu and having the chances to connect with Eco team was a blessing, being with Sailendra , who is the most heart kindest person, as Nepalies are, had made the journey a piece of art and joy. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek was incredible. From the day I landed in Nepal, Dhruba and his team were very helpful and easy to deal with. I was even picked up from the airport at 11pm at no extra charge! Sagar, my guide for the trek, is very experienced and looked after me so well. Couldn't recommend Eco Holidays more. It was my second Trek with Eco Holidays Nepal. Me and my wife did Everest Three Pass Trek which was arranged by Eco Holidays Nepal. My guide Suman himself came to airport for pick up and welcomed very warmly. They booked us Hotel Arushi Boutique it was super and very kind staffs. Next morning our Guide Suman picked us from Hotel and we ready for fly to Lukla and it was smooth flight with lovely views. From Lukla our trek started with included new member (Porter)Kami Sherpa then we became 4 person in total. My guide during trek always smiley, helpful and provided information about Everest Regions and the main things was every evening he checked our Oxygen level which was very good. During trek he managed our Food, Tea House and other necessary things. Our Porter always smiley and very strong. He was so kind and honesty. We all were lucky because of perfect weather during all passes and not any other problems. Very happy and thanks our Guide and Porter. Enjoyed very much and highly recommended.

I went to Nepal after 2 years of Covid-19. A 14-day tour plan was made from May 20 to June 2, 2022. The entire tour was done with Bullet. This religious and adventure tour plan included Manakamana Temple Darshan Mugling, Kathmandu city sight seeing, Pashupatinath Darshan, Bhaktapur Visit, Pokhara Sight seeing and Muktinath Darshan Via jomsom. The entire tour plan was arranged by Eco Holidays Nepal. In Nepal, hotel stay, food and remote area permits were arranged by Eco Holidays Nepal!
Mr. Dhruba Dharel ji, operator of Eco Holidays Nepal, is a very nice person! There is no better option than Eco Holiday to visit any place in Nepal.

I booked my trek to Annapurna Base Camp with EcoholidaysNepal recently. This was my second trek with them. My first one was just before covid, in 2019. Since then I’ve been itching to get a glimpse of the gigantic Himalayas. Dhruba and his team, especially guides like Sagar and Sushil, are exceptional. Had a wonderful time up in the mountains and hope I get to do more treks with them in the future.

I had wonderful time during my Poon Hill trek. The trip arranged by Eco Holidays Nepal. It was short trip but amazing. Hotel in Pokhara Batika was supper. My guide Rakesh was so helpful and very kind. During trek lodge, food and others things arranged by Rakes was so good.

I visited Bardiya National Park and Lumbini in early December with my husband. Eco Holidays travel company helped us to arranged Hotel and Transports. Everything was nice and love it. Bardiya National Park was amazing where we spent 4 days. We did all jungle activities.
We enjoyed very much during this trip.
