What I liked most about this talk was that it wasn't theoretical — it was a live, hands-on demonstration that mirrors what actually happens in real hybrid environments every day. Watching the attack chain unfold in real time (from a simple nmap scan, to pulling secrets out of a DLL, to pivoting into Azure SQL and Blob Storage, and finally minting an Entra ID token) made the risk tangible in a way a slide deck full of CVSS scores never could. The line that stuck with me was: "We never need a shell on Azure to hurt Azure data — we need the secrets the application already holds." That single sentence reframes how I think about cloud risk: the breach doesn't start in the cloud, it starts on-prem, in a config file, a diagnostics endpoint, or a hardcoded string in a compiled binary.

It was also refreshing that the speaker didn't stop at "here's the exploit" — the talk closed the loop with business risk mapping, remediation matched to each phase, and a continuous validation cycle (Deploy → Scan → Test → Fix → Retest), which is exactly what's missing from most annual pentest reports.

Very informative on AI’s influence in Cybersecurity. Lots of working is going on about losing jobs but I say just bring on the efficient tasking to reduce cost or make more sustainable.

The Data Protection and Recovery webinar was valuable tome, because it clearly explained proactive vs. reactive data protection strategies and demonstrated practical techniques like automated backups and recovery testing. I gained useful insights into setting RPOs/RTOs and prioritizing critical data, which will help improve my data management approach. The content was relevant, engaging, and aligned well with my learning goals.
