TQ Law and Easy Choice Conveyancing made the whole process feel much more manageable from start to finish. Communication was clear, prompt, and professional throughout, and I always felt kept up to date with what was happening. They explained things in a straightforward way, which made the experience far less stressful than I expected.

What stood out most was how efficient and organised they were. Queries were answered quickly, paperwork was handled smoothly, and I felt confident that everything was being dealt with properly. It was reassuring to have a team that seemed experienced, responsive, and easy to deal with.

I used Easy Choice Conveyancing in January–March 2026 for a freehold house purchase. The initial experience was positive: I received a clear, itemised fixed-fee quote that explicitly stated it included "all standard conveyancing charges, all Land Registry fees, and all legal work required in relation to your mortgage." I had raised concerns about online reviews mentioning surprise fees, and was given a written assurance that any additional costs "would always be discussed and agreed with you in advance." This gave me the confidence to proceed.

However, during the process, the solicitor firm Easy Choice referred me to added a £276 fee to my completion statement for "Registering charge on behalf of the lender at the Land Registry" — a standard step in every mortgage purchase — without any prior discussion or agreement. This was exactly the kind of surprise fee I had been warned about in the reviews.

I challenged the charge immediately. Over the following two weeks, I received inconsistent explanations. Initially, it was suggested my mortgage lender might have imposed the fee — my lender confirmed they had not. Then it was described as the solicitor's own fee for extra work — but it was routine work already covered by the fixed quote. Finally, the original promise was retrospectively narrowed to exclude this item.

After persistent correspondence and requesting formal complaint procedures, Easy Choice confirmed the fee would be removed. However, the removal was framed as "this time", which raised a concern that the charge may be routinely applied and only waived when specifically challenged.

Additionally, Easy Choice were responsible for conducting the full search pack on our property, which was not completed correctly - the purchase involved two land titles and Easy Choice only provided a search pack for one parcel.

What went well:

- The initial quote was competitive, clearly itemised, and the team was responsive at the outset.
- In the end, the original fixed price was honoured and I paid no extra.
- The no purchase guarantee was put in to affect successfully when the house purchase fell through.

What did not go well:

- The fixed-fee promise was not upheld without significant effort on my part.
- Assurances of service from both Easy Choice and the conveyancing firm proved to be inaccurate.
- Explanations for the additional fee were inconsistent, causing confusion and stress.
- Communication slowed noticeably once I raised the issue.

Summary: Easy Choice's service started off well at the pre sales stage, however, once the quote was accepted, the service deteriated rapidly, and the 'no surprises' promise was not met. The matter was resolved, but only because I persisted. If you use this service, I would recommend scrutinising your quote, scrutinising your completion statement carefully and questioning any fee that was not in your original quote.

In my case, the outcome was fair — but the process was unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming.

I have since restarted a new house purchase and this time have directly gone to another law firm. Whilst the fee was higher, the service received from quote to delivery has been consistent and exceptional.

Brilliant service throughout. Unfortunately, my purchase did not go through as the seller’s onward purchase fell through and the property was taken off the market. However, the service from Easychoice Conveyancing was excellent.

I selected to go with the quote provided & was advised when I spoke to them they would email over details straight away. Nothing arrived, I rang again & there was no answer. I contacted them on the online chat, for them to advise the allocated firm PCS legal were no longer taking instruction from them. No offer of an alternative, and I ran another search and the same quote came up, if they werent taking instruction why had they not been removed? Very poor service & communication
