Selection of books online is very good, especially for particular types of gifts - however, delivery is very slow, and not as advertised at all.

Visited today to buy graphs paper, two shop assistants were at the till. This is in White Water Newbridge. One was serving customer I approached and asked loudly where can I find graph paper. One went to help me, but she didn’t know where that paper was I actually ended up showing her, but she was “very good “at guessing customers age and making remarks.

Disgusted by the rude staff when I visited Eason in Gladstone St Clonmel today to buy a book I need. Shop was empty with one assistant at the counter when I entered. After I explained what book I needed he went to check. But on his return he said nothing and left me waiting while instead serving a woman who had only just entered the shop and gone straight up to the counter. Asked why he did not come back to me before her, he told me he had to "serve customers first". When I said I was a customer AND first in the queue, he called me rude and went on serving her, while a line of people holding sweets & drinks built up behind her. I told them they could go in front of me -I could see I was going to be left waiting anyway. A 2nd assistant then came, not to serve the sweetshop queue but to start my book enquiry all over again. I said I was waiting for the 1st assistant to tell me what he had already found out about the book I wanted & if I could order it. Gave me a smirky reply when I said the assistant I had already explained it to should be dealing with me, not serving the woman who had pushed in, since I was 1st & trying to order a book in a 'bookshop'. He then let another customerwho'd just arrived (so knew nothing of the situation) tell me I was 'bullying' him & with a big smile even thanked her! Evenually, after the ever lengthening queue was gone, the 1st came with me to view their computer website with me, confirming that I couldn't order the book in the shop anyway.He gave his name as John, which I didn't quite believe, and the 2nd assistant wouldn't give me his name at all. Realising I intended to complain about the two of them, they called Security, who made excuses for them, said I was not welcome in the shop, & said he'd call the Gardai to put me out. I had intended to buy a lot of art supplies too, but this experience put me off trying to spend on anything else there. A young female assistant came (so setting me aside was not due to lack of staff) who was the only one with the grace & mamners to apologise. The disrespect shown me as an elderly woman makes me not want to use that shop ever again - even if I have to go a long way off to buy or order any book again. If Eason's policy (as they told me) is that buyers of sweets etc get priority over book enquirers (even if first), it should not waste book-buyers' time by calling iself a bookshop. Easons needs to clarify whether it is a bookshop or sweetshop, & hire staff with more appropriate skill & interest levels, plus some basic manners. NB. No manager was on site, which may account for such careless treatment.

Cant recommend Eason website enough. Free shipping when 10 euro spent. this is how all sites should operate, and books usually arrive within a day. fantastic

I ordered a multi pack of hardback A4 copies and I and I only received one. I have mailed customer care twice and no one gets back to you. Now the website is down. I have went into the shop in the square to try rectify this problem and was told to get in touch with the same platform as they couldn’t do anything to help. All I’m getting is the run around for something I paid for. customer care service is shocking.

I have ordered 10s of books from Easons over the last couple of years and in every case have been really happy with the prices, speed of delivery and quality of the books.

I usually compare with Amazon first and I find Easons to be competitive (sometimes better on price).

I just got an order delivered less than 24 hours after I placed it. Easons is always very quick.

I had to do a return in-store once and it was no problem at all.

The books have always been perfect on delivery.

All in all, I definitely recommend.

Easons charges more than all other stationery stores and pretend to operate a loyalty system which does not work.

I bought a couple of presents online. They have a great selection of gifts aside from books. I was able to buy lots of presents and received a discount for signing up to news letter and best of all free shipping to Ireland over €10 that I received the next day! Delighted. Thanks

I ordered a daily pull off calendar from the website, on the site photo the calendar quite clearly has a quote below the date and a fact above the date, and when it arrived it only has quotes below the date, to some it may seem trivial but I bought this product as advertised for a reason, so to me I feel like it’s false advertising and I was got by it, unfair and unprofessional, not a happy camper

Easons are brilliant to order from. I couldn’t get to Dublin for Christmas gifts so ordered online thinking I’d left it too late. Ordered on the 21st, they arrived 22nd. Can’t ask for better than that.

Eason's is honestly brilliant. Placed 2 orders so far and both were delivered unbelievably quick (standard delivery) and in excellent condition. As an added bonus, the delivery was completely free! The prices of the books are also beyond fair and you're getting books in brand new, mint condition without any creases or marks.

Will be ordering again very soon and will continue to shop with Eason's online & in-store.

Great service very fast delivery from order to doorstep

Place on order on the 8th. Website stated delivery would be 1-2 working days. Received part of the order next day. Still awaiting second book. Order book for holidays, so disappointing I ha ent received my full order. 2 books are part of a series, received book 3 and am awaiting book 2, so book 3 unless to me on hols. Emailed eason, asking for refund as will purchase book in store instead, eaosn ignored my email and said they will send book instead. Will not be using eason again because of their lack of customer care, extremely frustrating.

Have ordered several books from Easons.ie. All have been delivered the next day. Had one issue with a defective book, which had pages missing. They sent me a free post label, I sent the book back to them and they sent a replacement immediately. Super service.

Very quick delivery, great experience. Ordered a few last minute items, and they were delivered the next day by AnPost.

Ordered Saturday afternoon, it arrived on Monday with A Post, it's like the Christmas Elves packed it.
