The company uses a 'lock in' scheme
The company uses a 'lock in' scheme, to ensure you buy a bike from them and nobody else.
Some parts are hard to find, if this company has them they won't sell it you for your bike if you bought the bike from another shop that isn't owned by them.
Feels a bit controlling / monopolising of the market and hard to find parts and ultimately poor service for the biking community on the whole.

It’s disappointing Ebikestore has taken the opportunity to try to criticise other stores in their reply to my review. Their actions are co parable to people who panic bought during the pandemic. The parts are hard to get, they’re sitting in their inventory while others need them and can’t get them due to stock piling / hoarding by EBike Shop.
This puts people out of work who depend on bikes for employment or commuting.
Stock shortages are never helped by panic buying / hoarding. It was criticised when the public did it but this shop feels it’s ok for them to do it. They admit the parts are hard to get hold of.
I think this behaviour shows the poor standards of the store through their practices. And asking me to poorly review the bike shop that sold me my bike because they can’t get hold of stock, while obtaining and hoarding stock themselves, just shows how bad these are. Why should other companies be poorly reviewed when they’re trying to serve the community while this store actively hoards parts that are needed elsewhere?

We completely understand how frustrating it is to be off the road and unable to source the parts you need for your e-bike. It is an incredibly stressful situation to be in, and we sympathise with you.
However, we need to clarify why this policy exists and correct the idea that this is a "lock-in" scheme or an attempt to monopolise the market. The reality is quite the opposite. Due to limited global production volumes and ongoing supply chain challenges, certain e-bike components are incredibly scarce.
We reserve these hard-to-find parts exclusively for customers who purchased their bikes directly from E-Bikeshop. We do this specifically to guarantee that our riders never find themselves in the exact unfortunate circumstances you are currently facing. If we opened our limited inventory of spares to the general public, our own loyal customers would be left stranded when they needed us most. We view this as protecting our customers, not controlling the market.
I can see that you've gone to the effort of creating a trust pilot account specifically to leave us a review, but haven't left a similar negative review for the company that actually sold you the bike? Is there a reason that you've chosen to attack our well regarded practice of protecting the interests of those who invested in a bike with us, but not leave a review for the company who sold your bike and pockets the proceeds, but clearly aren't fulfilling their obligation in supporting it?
They are the dealer who happily took your initial investment, yet they have clearly let you down by failing to support you with the parts and aftercare you need. We strongly believe that a dealer abandoning their own customer is far worse than a company working hard to protect parts availability for those who chose to invest with them.
We genuinely hope your original dealer steps up, takes responsibility, and helps you source the parts you need so you can get back out riding.
EDIT - Thanks for your edit Andrew, but you still have a very skewed way of looking at this.
The company who sold you the bike, could be proactive like us and buy stock and sit on it ready for their customers. They can also still buy it now and supply it to you - we just assume they wont, and thats why you been left to hunt the internet.
The principle still stands - the dealer who sold you the bike, isnt supporting you. This isnt our problem to resolve. We've sold over 50,000 bikes in the last 15 years, all over the world. Our customers know that when they have an issue, we're here to support them. The fact that we make sure we have enough spares for our customers is a primary reason WHY people choose E-Bikeshop.

The guys are e-bikeshop are super helpful and very prompt. I had an issue with a part which failed just outside the warranty period. They jumped on it, got in touch with the manufacturer and had the replacement unit delivered to me (all completely free of charge) in no time at all. You can't fault service like that.

Fantastic Customer Service
I brought a bike from this retailer and once it was delivered I realised it was too big for me and I needed to return it. The staff were really quick to respond to my emails, they answered my queries, and provided excellent customer service throughout the returns process.
