Very useful APP when you don't have a separate screen. I use it in home office with my business notebook and extending the screen wireless with my iPad

Not quite the product I wanted for my systems, even with a wired setup. Really easy to set up and work out - very easy and intuitive UI, at least to me. Aspect ratio was off between the two screens - while this isn’t an issue theoretically, it somehow impaired the scaling of the second screen - thus affecting where the mouse showed itself to be, and where the inputs registered.

However, they were responsive in customer service, and worked through with me to achieve a solution that worked for me. As I encountered a few bumps, I had to email them a few times. They were responsive each time, with at longest 2 days in between messages, and mostly just a few hours.

Recommended as a result, no doubt about it.

Duet is an excellent application - fast, responsive, and offering great mouse and window fluidity. It’s extremely useful for working directly on documents with the pen to comment annotate, or sign. The customer support is also very responsive and attentive, always resolving the rare issues that usually come from version changes

After trying several different applications to turn my iMac into a dual-monitor setup, I can confidently say that Duet Display is the absolute best in the business. While other apps often lag or feel clunky, Duet is fast, flawless, and incredibly stable. The interface is intuitive and understandable right out of the box—no steep learning curve required.

What truly sets them apart, however, is their customer service. I was thrilled to find that their technical support consists of live people, not AI bots. They provided a fast, professional response and resolved my questions in record time. It is rare to find a company that balances cutting-edge software with such a high level of personal, human care. Highly recommended!

Only works when there servers are up. If it can't reach their licensing server because their website is down, the entire app bricks.

It works amazing well, but this is not acceptable.

One of the best alternative solutions for external displays. Using my OnePlus tablet via cable and wireless is a game-changer when I'm working remotely, price is great

And now comes the AI BS comment, that "you are genuinely sorry and will try to help as soon as you can blah blah blah" ....right?

It’s an amazing product that does exactly as it says it will do; turns your iPad into an extended display. But when it doesn’t, the customer service team is quick to respond with hints and tips on how to rectify.

I ordered the USB cable. The promised date of delivery is 8 days. But I haven't received the tracking code or the cable and its been 10 days. I reached out to support mail, it was just an AI agent.

I will not be available in the address after 23rd October.

Travellers, be aware that Duet needs a near constant connection to the internet. Weird, because most apps only need to verify the initial use, but Duet has organized it that way that you need it every time you start using your computer/laptop. They were not clear about that till I asked it for the third time (about 25 emails later).
I am sailing, right now on the Pacific ocean. The screen of my Mac stopped working. So as soon as on an island, I went to a computer repair shop. There, with a second screen, they could install the Duet app and I installed it on my iPad, as the replacing screen. I bought an Apple certified cable for the Duet connection. Next morning it didnot work. So back to the computer repair shop. Again some hours, and money to this shop. He suspected it needed a constant internet connection. I asked it Duet. The started asking me to do a check. I did. And another, I did, and another, which I did till I went to a next island. And again it stopped working. In stead of writing at sea (what I usually do), I had to write my articles by hand. Again I went to a computer repair shop. Again he connected it temporarily to a screen to make a connection, and again Duet made the connection to the iPad. Again I went to sea, for 10 days, and again the Duet disconnected the iPad screen from the Mac. And again I emailed them and again Duet asked me to do al kind of checks deep into my MAc. So again I went to a computer repair shop, who again suspected that Duet seemed to need a constant connected, so again i asked and again they wanted to continue all knde of checks. Again I asked: does Duet need a constant connection? then the answer finally came out: yes, every time the ipad or mac starts (like when it has gone to sleep mode) the Duet wants to 'authenticate' through internet. Why, I really don't know, because you can do that authentication between de mac and the ipad. So travellers, before you spend 60 Dollars, Duet is only OK if you have constant access to internet. or if you use it for your comfort as a second screen.
It is frustrating that I spent so much hours to do all their requested checks, and so much hours up and down computer repair shops and so much money (about 150 dollar) to these shops, before Duet support finally gave a clear response. Also a minus for the support.

I tried to connect my windows 10 desktop through Parallels on Mac with a generation 10 iPad. I could see the extension of my desktop as expected by I would lose all mouse control on my desktop screen. So I could only use the mouse through the iPad screen and only on that screen! There's more that should be done before asking for an annual charge of around 50$. At least provide an option for a monthly fee.

LATEST UPDATE: After trying another solution for extending my desktop with my iPad, I realized the other solution had the same issue.

Scam and fraud. Doesnt do what it promisses, NO WAY TO CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION. I work with lawyers to do it. BE AWARE!
