Really difficult purchase from Dr Power. Pulled more out of my bank and my card then the final purchase amount on my receipt. Delayed another order due to parts. Its just really a trainwreck. Im gonna end up sending everything that i did receive back and calling the FTC.

BEWARE if you aren't a skilled mechanic
I wish I could tell you how well the mower works - but we received it in August, unboxed and assembled, followed all pre-use instructions, and the drive belt shredded after only several hundred feet of use. Mower won't drive forward without it, so we had to tow it back to the house. Called and spoke with the company, they agreed that there must have been an issue with the belt, but we don't have a nearby DR dealer shop or a winch to load a very heavy machine that won't drive itself forward/up a ramp, so they recommend replacing the belt ourselves. The trouble is, this mower is not user-service friendly. So, after paying 3K$, here we are on the floor of our garage with a brand-new machine, trying to find the hole in the pulley to stop the rotation so we can disassemble and replace the drive belt, and this is just the latest overly complicated thing we've had to do to get this machine apart, and consequently we don't have a single kind thing to say about this machine.
Can you use battery powered equipment without a charger?
Ordered battery powered walk behind trimmer on 8/18/24 . Trimmer and battery arrived 10 days later. Charger did not ship. Can't use this without a battery charger. One month later and I'm expecting another email soon saying the charger is delayed. They refuse to call their dealers with chargers in stock and have them ship me one. Told me to call, I already did that after the first delay. They know who has chargers in stock but sales is unable to call dealers. This is what happens when a hedge fund buys a solid businesses. Nobody gives a crap but they are really good at saying "sorry".
bad briggs and scrap'n engines, warranty useless
I bought a DR Pro XL trimmer mower. The 8.75 briggs and scrap'n engine never ran right from day one. I contacted DR and they told me to take it a to briggs service center for repairs. The service center did not repair my mower and said there was nothing wrong with it and charged me $80.00 for doing nothing! Now it doesn't run at all after only less then 20 hours of use. DR no longer uses this defective engine on their trimmers but they refuse to replace this engine for free with their new Generac Honda knock off engine. Neither Briggs nor DR honors their warranty. DR should have given me a new engine when my mower was under warranty!

If I could give less than a 1 I would. If I could give a negative infinity, I would, but they actually make you rate them as if they are a in any way acceptable. After waiting 9 months for a product to be ship because they need "a part" they finally send an email saying the product is ready so I call them to make sure I have the money in the bank. That was in late July. Three days ago I got an email saying estimated ship date is September 30, 2024, that is another month from now, that will be 11 months, and per my understanding they are not waiting for a part now. I bought a total gym online it show up in three days. DR is going and 11 months and they wont ship it them either. Something seriously wrong with this company, I feel for the people that work they. I will NEVER do business with Generac, ever,

it worked great but, started to fall apart from day 1
wheel bearings, hose is too short gets pulled apart at the seam, kill switch stop working, the bed cracked and broke along the edge, so the whole thing just sags to one side. it's a good idea, but this thing is a $2000 piece of crap
Run!! DR power equipment is a scam!
Bought a DR tow behind leaf vac 2 seasons ago and it’s been nothing but trouble. The most recent issue is the same as another reviewer on this site. After 2 years of constantly repairing the hose that carries leaves from the mower to the leaf vac I receive a recall notice saying that there is a defective bolt in the impeller that could break and cause serious bodily injury. They say they’ll pay for the repair but getting it back and forth to the dealer is my problem. My nearest dealer charges $120 for pickup and delivery. When I brought this up to their (no) customer service representative (Josh) in a very nice way I was ignored and still haven’t received a response some 4 weeks later. Not even some phony we’re sorry for the inconvenience response or go to hell it’s your problem…nothing. The hose issue I mentioned above has been ongoing and I’ve spent money every season on roll after roll of duct tape and several other products in a desperate attempt to seal the hose enough for it to still work. The design of the hose system is just plain stupid. Even a gradual right turn causes it to bend so much it splits and don’t even think of backing up and turning even a little. It will break immediately. I’m finally forced to replace the hose this year at a cost of around $300 and I’ll have to hire someone to help install it. Every fall this thing is like a full time job. It would have been cheaper to hire a crew every year to clean up my leaf filled yard. DR power equipment is a joke of a company and I look forward to joining a class action lawsuit against them.

bought a tow behind leaf vacume. It has been recalled for a dangerous part in the blower . D&R tells me to rent a trailor and truck and bring the unit to a sales location for repair. the only one reasonably close told me they do not honor recalls and i would have to pay for the repair. Defective part and i have to spend hundreds to get it fixed. i do not recommend buying from D&R, service is horrible.
Customer Service
On 5/6/24 I bought a brush mower. It had so many problems. The left handle was missing, lever 1 & 2 did work, lever 3 went reverse, lever R went forward. I called & emailed several times with no luck. On 7/24/24, the brush mower was picked up by the DR repair shop. As of 8/21/24, The DR Equipment Company has not paid the repair shop for their work. My suggestion to future buyers is to buy local.

What good is having a website "you can order from," if the part number has been changed and nowhere does it tell you the new part number?
This is just unprofessional at best, and just plain stupid.
After a 20-minute wait on hold: "Oh that is one of our older models." Do you get many requests for parts for your NEW models?
I like the equipment, but their service (and attitude when I have spoken to a tech in the past) is not good.

Put my order in on 6/30, finally got a shipping confirmation Aug 2 so thought I was finally getting the rake I ordered, but nooo the shipping company (I finally called since I wasn't getting a call to set up delivery) said it wasn't on the trailer so IT NEVER GOT SHIPPED, UGH!!!
CAUGHT FIRE - No replacenment after almost four months!
My Tow behind electric start Premier leaf vac CAUGHT ON FIRE> . It started out ok when the company called me and wanted it back and said they would replace with a new unit. I dutifully went and got a wood pallet from a local power equipment dealer to crate the unit and strap it up for shipping. Told it would be picked up on a certain date but that date was then pushed back a day. On the pickup date I waited a full day for the shipper to arrive for pickup only to be told late evening the driver would not be picking up that day as he had a "full truck" . TWO DAYS WASTED>>> Finally the unit was picked up but i never received confirmation from DR. Power.
I calmly waited for four months and called after no replacement. Replacement order appeared to be lost but they said they would immediately correct it. The order confirmation came through to my email for a much cheaper NON-ELECTRIC START model with a shipping date two- three weeks in the future. Called them about it and was informed that it may be too late to cancel the order as it was "in process" and i might have to receive, return and reorder but the agent said she would see what she could do and would get back to me within 24 hours. Never received promised next day return call from DR agent named Carrie. Called Friday to be told by telephone auto answer that nobody was available as all employees were in a company training meeting and I should call back tomorrow. FIRST - What company completely shuts down for a weekday business day training session?? Next i call back the following day as requested (Saturday) and no one is available. What a cluster failure. Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. This is a $2,099.99 lawn vac. Not very happy.

I ordered my first walk behind trimmer more than a year ago. It arrived totally non functional. After that, I waited months and months as you slowly sent the needed items to make it operate piece by piece over the span of months. After finally receiving everything, the replacement is just as useless as the first one. After all that, you were unwilling to immediately offer a refund. No one should ever buy your products again. They're junk and you customer service is even worse.
sells with NO inventory
i purchased a mower off the floor of the local dealer, i was going to order the finish mower , but was told by dealer he could get it in next shipment as quick.
website said ships with in 3 to 5 business days.
its been 12 weeks and i have been lied to, laughed at, and dismissed by everyone at DR and dealer.
no one knows if the are in stock, being made, or a definitive time line.
I called 6 weeks ago and was told it will ship in 2 days and then immediately called the dealer and he said it will ship in 2 weeks tops.
NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE SIMPLE QUESTION OF WHEN.
And they will not take the brush mower back.

I have a DR field and brush mower that I have been using once each year for a couple of days over the past 20+ years. It has generally been a reliable and robust machine, but when I needed to replace the engine clutch cable I ran into a frustrating problems. The first was that after a chat with a DR customer service rep I was told I needed to buy the replacement cable at $42, but also an adapter kit for $166. Luckily I found the replacement cable on Amazon for $25. Swapping out the old cable was really difficult, though, as it hard to get to the engine end of it and it is poorly designed. Motorcycles have a similar need for a clutch cable and they are much simpler and easier to replace.
Great Customer Service
I needed replacement PTO and drive belts for a 1991 DR Field Brush Mower. The old belts were stretched and worn making accurate measurements impossible. Based on the year of the mower, customer service had part numbers and the belts were in stock..amazing. This 1991 mower is still a beast and gets the job done on heavy brush. I'm looking forward to replacing it someday with a new model with power reverse.
