Problem reported early morning, engineer attended and all resolved within six hours. Very impressive.

Our kitchen sink was blocked for several days, so we called Drain Doctor. An engineer arrived two days later. Upon arrival he wanted to inspect the main sewer from the manhole with an endoscopy camera, even though I explained the blockage was quite far away from the manhole. That inspection unsurprisingly found nothing relevant.

He then told us the job would be charged at an hourly rate rather than a fixed price. I agreed. I told him there is a much easier access point with a single bend that should allow a snake to reach the blockage, but he still decided to removed the U‑trap under the sink to go from there and after about ten minutes he found it a no-go. Then his phone rang and he was on the call for some time before trying the easy access point I had told him earlier. By that time roughly 30 minutes had passed.
He worked with the snake for about another 20 minutes, then took it out and went onto another phone call. After another 20 minutes he returned to me and said his tool kept hitting something hard and bouncing back about five metres in the pipe; he could continue but could not guarantee a fix. He suggested hiring an expensive specialist camera system from the office for a deeper inspection, which would incur a higher hourly rate, and said the office would send a quote the next day — we are still waiting for that quote.

In the end, for at most 30 minutes of actually working on the blockage, he initially wanted to charge us for two hours on site, then "kindly reduced" it to 1¼ hours. After negotiating he left having been paid for one hour. The sink remained complete blocked.

The next day a £20 DIY snake I ordered on Amazon arrived, and on the first attempt I managed to clear the blockage in 5 minutes. Given that outcome, we feel the engineer was unprofessional and that we were overcharged for poor service. We will not use or recommend this company.

We called Drain Doctor out as we had a drain blockage in the pipes outside the house and they are a local company. The engineer who came out was incredibly helpful, and professional, assessed the problem, used a camera, cleared the blockage and gave a lot of advice about future maintenance and the current state of the drains and said he would provide a detailed report. The service was excellent. Thank you very much.

We had , what I thought, was a simple block toilet but, after 2 days doing what I could, we called in Drain Doctor. I'm always reluctant when I have to bring in help from outside but need t have worried as Colin was a true professional, courteous and friendly. He handled the job, which was 100 times worse than I had expected without complaint and, cleared the problem, thanks Colin.

Kevin arrived promptly and was very polite, knowledgeable and respectful.
He surveyed the problem with my toilet and drains very thoroughly before giving me the option whether or not to proceed. The issue was resolved quickly, and, Kevin gave me suggestions and information on how to proceed to prevent any major problems from happening again.

He phoned to say what time he would arrive and was friendly and informative. He had all the kit required including a camera which he let me see as things progressed which was really interesting. He found the blockage in my drain and cleared it and checked that all Loos were running clear and even took away the debris.
Price was very clear and reasonable. A brilliant firm.

Jamie arrived on the agreed date and time and using some very impressive looking apparatus cleaned all the waste pipes in the bathroom so that they are all free running and the unpleasant smell that was present has now been banished!

Casey rang to confirm he was on his way with an updated eta, once arrived he carried out another inspection and then commenced the task, it turned out that the issue was more than expected but he went out of his way to assist and advise me how to proceed which helped me no end. Would recommend
