James has been training my Norfolk Terrier puppy almost from the day I collected him. He is an excellent and patient teacher. Charlie is almost 6 months old now and is, I think, doing well. I do realise that James is actually training me and he is excellent and patient with me too. I would recommend James to anyone who would like an expert to train their puppy (or dog) Jacqueline Lee

James is a fantastic puppy trainer! All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our walks with him. He is warm and friendly but firm - with you and your pup! Which is what’s needed when all you want to do is spoil and cuddle your new puppy. We found the commands practices and supporting videos super helpful. James was careful to emphasise the importance of asserting yourself as the leader of your dog. He clearly loves dogs and is an expert in handling them and their welfare. We appreciated the certificate for Arya at the end - a lovely touch. We are very grateful for all his support and would recommend.

I am very grateful to James for teaching me so much about my dog and guiding me through difficult moments. Even if some issues I have with my dog are not curable, it was worthy to try and at the very least my understanding of what was going on with my dog improved. With this review, I simply want to encourage other dog owners to seek for help earlier (I wish I knew that) as it would make a better outcome. Don't wait until the situation is unbearable.

Thank you Robert. That is true - we can't fix everything but we aim to at least improve some quality of life for both dog and his owner.
I saw James to sort my bouncing and lively 2 years old GSD Otto who I struggled to walk to the extent I was not able to give him enough physical exercises. James started with repairing our relationships and general obedience like recall and waiting for me. This indeed paid off within the next few months. Otto is so happy now to run free and is much better at looking back at me. This was an amazing transformation! James truly is a dog whisperer with excessive knowledge and understanding dogs.

I had the absolute displeasure of bumping into James while he was “training” on Wimbledon common.
I could see him struggling with the dog on a long line and saw him allowing the dog to hyperfixate so even before I reached him I called ahead to ask if it was safe to pass and after he said yes i kept my dog in tight heel as I attempted to pass.
When I was about 1 meters away he just let go of the long line!! And let this dog slam into my own resulting in injury.
Despite my dog's distress, he showed no remorse or accountability, even laughing at our misfortune.
Bad training aside, to laugh in the face of an owner who’s dog you just enabled to get injured is just disgraceful behaviour
It's appalling that someone who claims to be a professional could handle the situation so poorly. Avoid this trainer at all costs if you value the safety and well-being of your pets. Not sure where he got his “qualifications” if he has any but this incident could have been prevented, the dog was on a long line and mine was under control in heel but James *chose* to let the long line go. I don’t know what dog training qualification recommend that.

Thank you Catherine, I do appreciate your feedback. I do understand your disappointment, however I need to bring some context to this event. Unfortunately, some owners may face unusual behaviours of their own dogs when dogs meet a trigger they never did before. Therefore you can sometimes see an unusual reaction of a dog reacting to something unexpectedly. This is what happened in this case when your dog had a "panic attack" - an intense emotion - caused by being approached by a high energy teenage dog. There was clearly no bite (otherwise we would have discussed in a different environment) from the dog under my care but yes, indeed, he was kind of rude in his fast approach and that was exactly what we started working on on that day. I clearly explained you that the dog under my care is driven by his wish to meet other dogs and is overly energetic. I then asked your permission if I could let him meet your dog once you are closer so he could at least wait at least a little bit. You agreed (your permission is clear on video that was filmed at that moment) and once you were at about 3 metres away, I let my trainee dog out. This moment was filmed entirely and, while he was fast, he came from the side and did not even touch your dog. This was confirmed by 3 witnesses. I appreciated your dog got triggered by this sharp approach but I was only following your expert knowledge of your own dog. Sometimes, new triggers are discovered like in this case. But such events help us to learn more about our own dogs and, once new sensitive areas are discovered, we could then learn how we may help our dogs to feel more confident or to prevent such events in future. I learned my lesson as I do every day working with dogs. I understand that you did not hear my apologies offered as you were at extreme stress. I was later a bit too busy trying to check if your dog was fine (and he coped really well). I tried to explain you what had happened so you could use it for practical experience. I could easily refrain from providing you with my name and the name of my company but I wanted to be honest and helpful for which I was punished.
James has been a great coach for me and my new puppy, guiding me patiently thru some key drills and advising me when I had questions

I have an 8 month old Jack Russell and as soon as we would take her out and see other dogs she would bark non stop . Her walks were not enjoyable on the opposite very stressful . We had other issues but this was the biggest one . We met James once and he provided us with such helpful advice . He spend time with us and the dog and gave us exercises that really help us . After a month we met with James, my puppy is getting so much better and her walks are much calmer and enjoyable, we actually let her off the lease and she plays with other dogs now . Thanks to the professional help from James our life and our little ones change . James care about the animal and he has so much knowledge. I would definately recommend him to anyone . He knows what he is doing and what the dog needs. When I message him to ask if we need to book another session he said no as long as all still going well .
