Recently tried to purchase a toy for my…
Recently tried to purchase a toy for my dog for Christmas, the toy I wanted was $24.95, instead of telling me it wasn’t in stock and to pick another toy they sent me a “replacement” that was only $9.95 and that if I didn’t want it to send it back. My card was still charged $24.95 so I asked them to send me a new toy with the remaining $15, but after 10 emails they just refunded it because they didn’t want to eat the shipping cost. Pretty frustrating..

I bought the Doggie Hush Pro for my dog during a storm, and it did help calm him down a bit. The fit is comfortable, and he didn’t mind wearing it. However, the noise-canceling isn’t as strong as I hoped, there’s still some background noise. Overall, a good product, but it could be better for the price.

They are made from neoprene and feature 5 layers of sound-proof material. We have been on the market for around five years and have thousands of happy customers all around the world.
Regarding the refund issue: we clearly state on our website that we have a 14% restocking fee. This policy does not apply to certain items such as clearance products or one-time specials. For those items, the listing clearly states that the refund policy is not eligible.

Cooper Approved “ these save him from nights of fear and panic
Absolutely fabulous customer service. Answered messages almost instantly.
My little boy “Cooper” has neurological issues, frightened of Thunder, fireworks and all loud noises. He shakes uncontrollably and i always feared he would have a heart attack. Bought these headphones, it took a short time for him to get used to them, he is tiny !! But the fireworks have started here already 26/10 and he sits blissfully unaware at the side of me with them on! Thank you Doggie Hush !!

It does not provide relief
The Doggie Hush headphones unfortunately did not provide the intended relief for my pet during thunderstorms. Despite ensuring a correct fit, my dog still reacted strongly to the thunder. This poor performance was consistent across two different pets (mine and my best friend's), suggesting the headphones simply weren't effective. We've had better results with alternative products."

While it sounds like you ensured a proper fit, we’re not sure if the gradual introduction process was fully followed. For example, was the Velcro cutted for a snug fit? And was the correct size ordered based on our sizing guide? Doggie Hush works best when introduced slowly with positive reinforcement, allowing dogs time to adjust.
To clarify, Doggie Hush isn’t designed to block all noise or impair hearing—it’s a gentle buffer that helps reduce the intensity of loud sounds like thunder and fireworks.

Products works!
Great product and company! Fits perfectly and helps my dog navigate difficult nights from fireworks and storms. Product came with a free dog toy, which was a nice unexpected bonus. Doggie Hush is great to work with and will be buying again in the future if additional sizes are needed.

Please don't buy this product
Please don't buy this product. Buried in the fine print is both a restocking fee and a shipping fee if you decide to return it. It's a shady product because most dogs won't wear it. Our dog wouldn't. It's not worth the risk to try and then have to pay.

Dogs can still hear everything
I just bought them and they DO NOT work. Our dog still heard everything, rain, thunder, cars etc. He still ran around barking and whimpering during rain storms. He could also still hear his name when he had them on. He also hated the stiff velcro straps that hold it in place on the top of his head and around the neck. When I contacted the company, they actually wrote in an email, that they are not intended to block out any sounds only muffle them which I thought was a bait and switch. Upon sending them back, they deducted $18 from the total I paid ($50). They charged me for the original chipping fee, the return shipping fee AND a restocking fee. I sent the muffs back in perfect condition and returned the free gift (a dog toy) that they had included. PLUS, I was sent a second set by accident and I returned that box unopened. When I reported the extra set and explained that I was going to send it back so they could resell it (trying to help a small business out) they didn't care and didn't offer any remorse about charging me $18 for the restocking fee. Bad customer service, ineffective product. I will be more hesitant to purchase stuff like this in the future. This is why people buy off big businesses like Amazon vs. small businesses anymore. Free returns is hard to beat. Buying and trying this product COST ME money.

We sorry that you were not able to make Doggie Hush work for your Dog. We are not sure if you followed the enclosed instructions. We would love to give you a new pair and you can customize by cutting the velcro before using on your Dog. We have had tens of thousands of happy customers and their Dogs Where they say they can't imagine living without Doggie Hush. We would never want our Dogs to be deaf,we don't believe this is healthy state for any dog.You can have a look more training examples on our website and If you follow the instruction, Give a try you will see the results in a month. FYI Doggie Hush does not eliminate all of the loud noises. Instead it acts as a strong buffer when combined with our design (Doggie Hush is patented due to our special design and testing) becomes a strong aid and helping your Dog to start to ignore outside noises that normally upset them. Maybe you misunderstood the goal of our product. We feel so strongly that it can help you that we would love to gift you with a new pair with your Dog.

Seems to be working
Our dog is terrified of thunder and fireworks. We just purchased the headphones and thought we’d have to wait until Spring to test them out. On New Year’s Eve someone started setting off fireworks in the park near our house. We put the headphones on him and could immediately see he wasn’t as panicked. They seemed to work to help calm our dog.

Didn’t help my dog
Shipping and service was stellar, but unfortunately my dog hated his DoggieHush headphones, despite the lengthy adjustment period we implemented. Plus, the noise canceling really turned out to be minimal. Definitely not up to fireworks noise, not even when they were distant.

The Doggie Hush did not help my dog
The Doggie Hush did not help my dog. With the headphones on, my dog still hears the fireworks and gets nervous. I imagine the device works for other dogs, but not for Negro, my dog 😔

Wir sind überzeugt, das der Gehörschutz von Doggie Hush unserem Riesenbaby etwas Linderung/Schutz vor den extremen Knallgeräuschen an Silvester gebracht hat.
Das dezente Design überzeugt (keine wuchtigen Plastikhartschalen) und mittels Klettverschluss angepasst, haben die Ohrenschützer einen guten Sitz/Halt und wurden von unserer Rottweiler Dame im Haus aber auch auf den Gassirunden problemlos getragen!
Auch im Sommer in der Nähe eines Konzertes, hatten wir das Gefühl das es die Geräuschkulisse demmt.
Klare Empfehlung.

For lighter noise I keeps one dog more calm.
I was waiting with the review about the Headsets till end of the year period passed where there has been lot of fireworks going round on irregular times. Our dogs are scared and don't want to walk or do their business anymore when there're outside. In the house they are stressed to.
I took the headsets with me during walks and for 1 dog it works pretty well. She will continue with her short walk. Also in the house (fireworks or thunderstorm) she will remain pretty calm. So for her it works! Less stress for her, less stress for me.
The other dog has his ears more backwards which makes it more challenging for the headset to stay and also shakes his headset off, so unfortunately for him it doen's work.
They were both in the dog hotel at a quite place for our intens fireworks at New Years Eve and I will continue with that. To use the head sets on that extreme nights, they won't do the work, but in softer situations I can recommend them.
The company Doggie Hush resend one headset after it was missing in the original shipment. The communication went easy and delivery was good.

These have been a game changer …
These have been a game changer for my boy, Ned! Thunder and fireworks stress him out. Once he heard them there was nothing that could soothe him. Until I tried these headphones! Now he hears them, he get stressed (panting, shaking, clinging to me), I put them on and a little while later he is laying down in a zen trance. It even helped his anxiety at the vet yesterday. I brought them just to show my vet but Ned wouldn’t settle in the waiting room so I figured why not put them on and see if it helps? He settled down after a few minutes.
I also appreciated the communication and help I received before buying them. I emailed asking some questions and their response was prompt and informative. There was a confidence that they believe in their product and aren’t just a gimmick to make sales.
I am a dog trainer and get asked often how to help with fear of thunder and fireworks. We get a couple months of thunderstorms here a year, so these are my go-to recommendation.
