DMCA Piracy Prevention appears to rely heavily on automated bulk reporting without properly verifying whether the targeted URLs actually contain infringing material.
In my case, they submitted takedown requests against simple search and navigation pages that did not host, embed, or store any copyrighted content whatsoever. Confusing dynamically generated search results with actual infringement is not professional copyright enforcement.
False or careless DMCA notices can seriously damage legitimate websites by causing unnecessary deindexing, SEO losses, and traffic harm.
A company working in anti-piracy enforcement should understand the difference between real copyright infringement and generic site functionality. Unfortunately, this service seems more focused on mass reporting than on accuracy and proper human verification.
When mistakes happen, accountability and communication should follow. That does not appear to be the case here.
I cannot recommend this service.
This company puts their clients in jeopardy because they send out 100's of DMCA's per day/week without first checking whether or not the site(s) they are filing against are actually infringing on their client's works. Our site(s) do not infringe on their works and is an affiliate of each of the clients they filed DMCA's for. As an affiliate we have licenses granted to us to use the content for marketing purposes. Which we do! We will be suing this company in court for lost revenue and attorney's fees.
Despite many warnings, this company continues to file illegal DMCA takedowns against our websites and copyright content. Tabernac!
Our experience with DMCA Piracy Prevention Inc.
Our company had very negative experiences with DMCA Piracy Prevention Inc. During monitoring of DMCA takedown notices, we found several hundred cases where content fully owned by our company was subject to removal requests from search results or hosting platforms.
These materials were produced by us and fully covered by copyright and proper agreements. Despite this, the company submitted takedown notices that effectively prevented us from using our own content.
Initially, we attempted to resolve the situation directly with DMCA Piracy Prevention Inc., sending emails and requesting clarification. However, we did not receive any response or corrective actions from their side.
In our case, we are now in settlement discussions with the client who commissioned these takedowns, concerning:
- violation of personal rights related to the delisting,
- potential copyright infringement in cases where files were removed from hosting,
- actions negatively affecting our brand.
We share only our direct experience so that other businesses are aware of the potential risks involved when dealing with this company.
This company sends out tons of fake, invalid DMCAs to Google, really damaging our business. They're not replying to emails. Google listens to them and they delists the targeted pages (as they legally have to), but they don't listen to us when we ask them to reinstate the falsely delisted pages.
This company is scam and it's well knows for sending fake DMCA requests and removing publishers pages from Google! The reported pages do not contain any copyrighted material. It appears they were flagged solely due to keyword matches, resulting in a false claim, most of the pages doesn't even contain images or videos like they claimed! We have attempted to contact DMCA Privacy Protection Inc., regarding these false claims several times however, we have not received any response. The reports assert that we host content belonging to creators from platforms such as OnlyFans, Instagram, and Fansly, but no verification seems to have been performed to confirm whether the reported pages actually contain such material. Their company address is fake, phone number fake, email un-reachable!!
A high-risk company for content creators.
You hire them thinking they’ll remove your stolen and illegally distributed content from the internet? Nothing could be further from the truth.
This company won’t check whether the materials actually belong to you – they’ll simply run a keyword scan. Your video? Not your video? It doesn’t matter. The only thing that counts is whether your name appears in the title – if it does, they’ll file a removal request.
So, if you have a unique name, that’s not too bad. But if your name is something like Sunshine or Bubbles, you’re in trouble. Hundreds of takedown requests will go out for videos titled “Morning Sunshine” or “Flying Bubbles.”
Remember that some people (legally) include model names in their video titles – that’s not a crime. Unfortunately, this company will remove those too. As a result, thousands of videos that you have no rights to will disappear.
What does that mean?
This can obviously violate the copyright of the actual owners of those files, and you – as the person who hired this company to perform the removals – will be held fully liable with all your assets.
