The online update system of work was very good but was not actively updated midway. So called centre for updates.
Would appreciate if you could have done a external wash. Work itinerary did state external cleaning completed so unsure if it was supposed to be washed.
Simple process for getting my car repaired. The car was collected and delivered back to me afterwards.
The repair looks as good as it was before the incident.
After assessing that my car bumper is not unsafe and the safety of the car is not compromised, the bumper clip has been securely fixed back into place, removing the need to replace the whole bumper. A special thank you to Dean and to Chez for your honesty and very quick help. It's much appreciated and I will highly recommend you to anyone who will listen!
Awful service!
My car was sent to them for front repair and came back to me with the job not complete to a roadworthy standard and was damaged in their care on the side and the black high gloss plastic inside all scratched up. They initially tried to deny it was their fault, but luckily I had photographic evidence or they would have continued to lie and say it came to them like that.
They then tried to side step for over a week, leaving me with a car that I couldn’t drive at night and seeming to hope I would give up and go away.
The car had to go back to them for rectification after the insurance got stern with them but, has been returned again without the job being completed.
While they have repaired the damage they did to the outside, they have not had the interior damage they caused repaired, even though they stated they repaired it. Just one of many lies they have told along the way. They also refused to work with the car dealerships services to get the car working as it should be and instead making me call them to confirm how it should work, and for the second time now returning my car leaving me with nonfunctional headlights and saying they will foot the bill if the dealership write a report to say the headlights should function the way I have stated and how the dealerships own mechanic say is standard on my car.
All they had to do was make one call themselves and they would have heard this from the dealerships services themselves, but instead they have spent the best part of a month trying to gaslight me and lie continuously in the hope I would accept the car back without complaint. I dread to think how many people they have hoodwinked, or poor unsuspecting customers who don’t know their rights and have ended up having to pay out afterwards.
I was more than fair given the way I was treated, the damage they caused, the fact I had to go to the dealership a total of 3 times to keep getting the same answer, yet DGL did not call them to clarify this themselves, given they didn’t believe me, and I gave them chance for rectification which has only resulted in stress for me and extra days off work for car swaps etc.
I have a disability and the way they have treated me is like being disabled means I don’t have any intelligence.
Unfortunately the manager seemed to trust his mechanic instead of listening to me about my own car, or calling the dealership to have it confirmed over the phone by services, which just goes to show how little they think of customer service and treating people with respect. I even sent the mechanic online photos to prove I was correct and that this could be looked up, but they still insist I must be mistaken.
My advice is photograph ever inch of your car before it goes to them or they will claim that damage they cause was there already and if you have any doubt, call an expert for advice or you might end up driving an MOT failure or paying for repairs later on. Also, ask for their policy on how they keep customers cars safe in their care, as I constantly had to lock my car via my app as they would leave it in the carpark unlocked and at times with and the windows left open. I have relayed all of this to the insurance company and had to call them to shut the window after a week of my app showing it was left open and before they claim it was inside, I have screenshots to prove it wasn’t and that it wasn’t locked overnight, despite being outside. If your car is of value, they are asking for trouble really and this is the short version of all that happened!
