Working with Paul to organize a custom itinerary for hiking the Annapurna Circuit was easy and seamless. My group had a tight window with specific start/end dates as we had to plan around wedding festivities, and I'm happy to say it all worked out perfectly. Paul also had our luggage transported from Kathmandu to our hotel in Pokhara while we were on the trek. I would definitely recommend Discovery World Trekking.

Also, huge shoutout to our guide, Dol, and the porters for making this a very memorable experience!

We had a good experience and were able to be accommodated based on our fitness levels and health throughout the trek. Dol was a great guide for us and checked on us throughout high altitude to make sure we were doing okay and taking our time. Prabath and Umesh were great porters and were doing many helpful things for us throughout the trek as well. We were able to deliver some luggage in advance to Pokhara in advance and were pleased that the luggage was at the hotel when we arrived in town after the trek.

I cannot speak highly enough of Discovery World Trekking. I don’t know how another company can top this one. When you come to trek in Nepal, you become a part of a family that welcomes you whole heartedly. Paul constantly works around the clock to make sure his guests are taken care of. He goes above and beyond and literally takes you in as family member, making sure you’re enjoying yourself as well as safe. As a solo traveller trekking in Nepal, Paul couldn’t have made this trip easier for me. My guide Siddhanta was amazing, well knowledgeable and also made sure his guests were enjoying themselves, safe, and offered a trip of a lifetime. My portee Rimchi Sherpa was incredibly strong, kind, and always trying to help me out. One reason I chose this company is because they have a reasonable weight limit for their porters instead of other companies that definitely exceed the limits. DWT takes care of their guests as well as employees. When I come back to Nepal, I know I will go with Discovery world trekking again, as they could not have made the trip go any smoother. From picking you up to the airport, the whole trekking experience, and dropping you off at the airport, DWT makes your vacation extremely easy. The itinerary of my trip (EBC and Gokyo lakes) was incredibly planned out and DWT really does think of everything to make your trip a one to remember. The guides are well knowledgeable, and if its your first time trekking in high altitude- don’t stress! The guides monitor your oxygen and know the signs of altitude sickness, constantly evaluate your symptoms, and will keep you safe. When travelling far from home, DWT makes you feel like you have a family in Nepal, and I will miss the amazing people I have met through this company. No words will be able to thank DWT for the memories and experiences that I will cherish for many years to come… until I come back :)

I recently completed the trek to Everest Base Camp in Oct/Nov. 2022 and completed a dream that started in 1977. I would summarize the trip, especially the excellent support provided by Discovery World Trekking and each staff member we worked with, in one word "QUALITY!". Without Discovery and staff, I don't think all 14 of us would have reached EBC.
Each person knows Quality, even though we cannot exactly define it, whether it is in food, shoes or car. I feel very strongly that we got the HIGHEST Quality services from Discovery.
Our group of 14 included some having experienced summitting of Mount Kilimanjaro and completing hike to Machu Picchu, to some that were first time trekkers. Our diverse physical abilities, mental fortitude as well as daily needs were catered to with highest quality by our best-in-class guides - Dol, Prabhad and Jagat (I would trek with them anywhere in this world). Our porters (Balram, Ganesh, Neerkumar, Maniraj, Dilli, Mankumar and **sorry I forgot the name of the 7th**) were hard-working, pleasant and talented. The CEO Paul who worked directly with us provided great leadership throughout the different stages of the trek.
I give the highest recommendation to Discovery World Trekking and would certainly use their services for future treks.

It’s been amazing experience and loved every moment of it. The team who supported us throughout our journey made it very special by being attentive, cooperative, and drove us to made this successful. I can’t believe how lucky we were to have chosen discovery for our Everest three passes trek. We weren’t sure which company to go with so we just went by reviews and we were shocked at how good the service was. From booking and organising the trip with Paul from day one everything went so smoothly. We had Mansing as our guide and Bijaya as our porter. Mansing was always upbeat, laughing and went above and beyond what I expected a guide to do. He made sure we were always comfortable, well fed, informed about where we were and where we were going. He checked in on us to see how we were coping both mentally and physically. You don’t know how much you need a guide like Mansing until you have a hard day and he gets you through it. Really, we couldn’t have done it without him.
And Bijaya was too kind also. He carried our large duffel with ease and when I was sick with the flu he insisted on taking my day pack too to make the walk to base camp easier on my body. In some of the trickier sections of the trek he stuck with me while Mansing went ahead with my brother and caught me when I slipped more than a few times. My brother was sick in Gokyo with AMS and while Mansing cared for him Bijaya acted as my guide up Gokyo Ri that day. I felt genuinely cared for like a brother to these people. We saw many people turned away from full guest houses on this trek but Mansing always managed to get us a room. We never had to wait for anything. Night and day Mansing was at our service and he really made this trip a wonderful experience. Next time I return to do Manaslu circuit I’ll be choosing discovery and requesting Mansing and Bijaya if possible.

Discover World Trekking was outstanding!! They provided an experience of a lifetime… the porters and guides were always there for assistance and support, everything from food to accommodation to assistance during trekking was taken care of to the very best of their ability. 

The Trek to Everest base camp was definately hard, but the goal to get there would have been much more difficult without the help and support of the Discovery World Trekking team.

We had an amazing time doing the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek. Paul organised our trip very well and was always very reliable from the second we contacted for info, to the time of arrival, during our trek and until we left.

Paul and the team at Discovery World Trekking made sure our trip was amazing. There is much to recommend them, including the excellent communication. It is on-point and very fast, and our many questions were answered thoroughly.

Special mention to our wonderful guide Phurba and our porter Jagat, who both kept an eye out for our well-being and made sure we were lacking nothing. From the fresh fruits in the evening to the medicine when we were feeling ill, they took very good care of us. When we had to change our route, they were very accomodating.

All-in-all, the team did a great job of making our trip a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend them.

On the treks, you see a lot of different agencies, but none had the positive, fun-loving, hard-working team vibe that Discovery World Trekking has.

Our guide Chhanda was AMAZING (ask for him! 10000% recommended). He fully took care of us and always made sure we were doing okay - physically and mentally. He helped to make our trip an unparalleled experience.

Our porter BJ was also great, and always helped us with anything. He also liked to join us on our acclimatization days, and we liked having him there with us.

We were surrounded everyday by beautiful landscape and got very lucky with the weather.

To make the EBC trip better, I recommend putting the porters in the same tea houses as the rest of us. Due to prices, they sleep separately, which we didn’t like. We’d be more than happy to pay more so that our entire team sleeps in the same lodge.

It really was a life-changing experience. Thank you to the entire team.
