Exceptional Service From Direct Booker!

I just returned to my home in California from a dream vacation using Direct Booker for my hotel apartment in Dubrovnik and I was very impressed!
After booking, I was sceptical at first because I began reading all the negative reviews weeks later but not only was the apartment excellent but also their transportation service to and from the airport.
I was very happy with their services! I had arrived to the Dubrovnik Airport at 11:30pm and the driver was waiting for me around midnight. When we arrived to the hotel apartment, my host was also there waiting for me around 12:30am.
The return was just as fantastic. Days later, the driver arrived at 4:30am to take us back to the airport.
Direct Booker's prices were reasonable and we received outstanding service! I would definitely recommend them!

WE ARE NOT EVEN A HOLIDAY SITE/HOTEL/BnB

My employer has been contacted via email from direct-booker.com. The request for information purports to be from an individual that wants to book a stay with us.
Except it was sent by direct booker - not an individual wanting to book a holiday.
Also ..... WE ARE NOT EVEN A HOLIDAY SITE/HOTEL/BnB. What the heck!

If you want to give your guests the ultimate horror stay experience, do hire them.

If you’re an owner wondering if you should use this company — absolutely DO NOT.

This company left me and my friends stranded in the middle of nowhere because of a fatal error in the address that resulted in us ending up 600km away from our original booking.

You would think they would provide some support or reimbursement? Wrong.

The people who worked there seemed to be forbidden from speaking to each other because every time the previous customer support representative would hang up the phone, and I’d call again I’d have to repeat the entire horror story again.

To make matters worse, I asked them before we ever traveled to our accommodation, to confirm we’re going to address X and not Y. We received both a written and verbal confirmation.

Nobody bothered to try and help us.

The cherry on top of a fantastic shit-cake, was the fact that the next morning after traveling for 14h, we receive a text message “How was your check in”

Avoid at all costs, do not hire these people no matter what they tell you.

Absolutely Avoid Direct Booker Agency – A Nightmare for Vacation Rental Owners!

If you're considering partnering with Direct Booker Agency for your vacation rental business, run in the opposite direction! What we hoped would be a supportive partnership to kickstart our new venture turned into months of frustrating delays, lost bookings, and constant headaches. This agency single-handedly set back the launch of our rental business by at least a couple of months, causing significant financial and operational problems right at the start of the season.

Here's a breakdown of our terrible experience:

Amateurish Onboarding & Inaccurate Listings: Their onboarding process is a complete disaster. It's clearly handled by amateurs who miss crucial details about your property. Despite providing comprehensive information, our listing went live with glaring inaccuracies and a shoddy description, completely misrepresenting what we offer. This undoubtedly deterred potential guests.

Unauthorized Price Manipulation: They consistently played with our rental prices, dropping them below the agreed-upon minimum. This not only undercut our potential earnings but also showed a blatant disregard for our pre-established terms.

Chaotic Client Communication & Lack of Transparency: Their communication with clients is a mess. We frequently discovered they had been communicating directly with our potential or actual guests without our knowledge or involvement. This lack of transparency and control is unacceptable and led to confusion and potential miscommunication.

Failure to Manage Major Platforms: A huge selling point for us was their supposed ability to manage major booking sites like Booking.com and Airbnb. This was a complete lie. They have no real control or expertise on these platforms.

Airbnb Account Never Opened: Incredibly, even after two months of working with them, they never managed to open an Airbnb page for our property. This alone cost us countless potential bookings from one of the largest vacation rental platforms.

Non-Existent "24/7 Proactive Support": Before signing, they boasted about their "very proactive 24/7 support department." This is pure fiction. In reality, their support is limited to standard 8-to-5 working hours, leaving you stranded outside of those times when issues inevitably arise.

Unresponsive Account Manager: You're assigned an account manager, but don't expect any "management." They rarely answer their phone and take days to reply to emails, if at all. Getting a simple answer or resolution to a problem was an ongoing battle.

Gaslighting and Denial: When confronted about the constant problems and delays, their response was infuriating. They would simply claim that "everything is okay" and that they are "doing a great job," even going so far as to suggest we should be "lucky to have them." This dismissive attitude only added insult to injury.

In short, Direct Booker Agency promises a lot and delivers absolutely nothing but frustration and setbacks. They are unprofessional, uncommunicative, and ultimately detrimental to a new business trying to get off the ground. Save yourself the stress, money, and lost opportunities – find another agency.

Disappointing and Unacceptable

Disappointing and Unacceptable – Never Again with Direct Booker!

Our experience with Direct Booker was absolutely disastrous. After traveling for over 22 hours, we received an email one minute before check-in informing us that our booking had been canceled. Not only were we given no prior warning, but Direct Booker also completely abandoned us after this.

We were suddenly left without accommodation on an island, with no help or support from Direct Booker. There was no willingness to assist us in finding alternative lodging or to cover the additional costs incurred by this unbelievable mishap.

We were forced to spend the night outdoors, uncertain of what the following days would bring. Such a reckless disregard for customers is absolutely unacceptable. We will never book through Direct Booker again and strongly advise against relying on this service!

Didn't turn up to let us into our apartment. Family with 4 young children left outside at night.

Booked an apartment with them for an overnight stay in Dubrovnik for myself, my wife and our 4 young children. They never turned up to let us in, even though I had been messaging them from before we boarded our plane for Croatia. The number they provided was an office number which just went to answer machine. So we ended up stuck outside at midnight with no way to contact the "Team" to help us out. After a few fruitless hours trying to get somewhere else to stay we took our young family back to the airport where we slept on the floor, trying to ignore the insect bites we had received while trying to get help from "Team Direct Booker". Avoid like the plague.

Defrauded in Croatia

A group of friends and I booked an apartment in Postira (Croatia), which was managed by Direct Booker. The night before we arrived, Direct Booker annulled our reservation without explaining the reasons.

Do not use Direct Booker!

Turned up to a villa in Croatia that was booked through Expedia and Direct Booker only to be told that our reservation had been cancelled. No one had bothered to tell us so we were left stranded in Croatia after a flight from the UK. Expedia and Direct Booker were no help to us - didn’t refund the villa money straight away and didn’t help us find somewhere else to stay or a flight home. My advice would be never use Expedia or Direct Booker.

Solin Split

Booked an apartment in Split, Croatia. Everything was smooth and easy. I booked a transfer through direct booker, which I booked for 8, receiving a confirmation which stated this. They sent a transfer van suitable for 7ppl. We told the taxi driver to take 7ppl and we will book an uber ourselves for 1 person as we didnt want to miss our flight. Driver told us to get in and not worry, so we squeezed in. We were 10mins late, taxi driver was very unhappy with us, we apologised but thought 10mins is not really something to get upset about, it was Monday morning so alot of traffic on the roads. When he dripped us off, he was shouting at us to hurry and give him his money, he then snatched the notes out of our hands. He asked us to pay him an extra 20eurs because we were 8ppl and he had to squeeze us in eventhough he forced into the van when he picked us when we said we will order an uber. Clearly this was his plan to get the extra money from us! I was shocked and disgusted at his demeanor. Very angry man, not professional and felt so unsafe. Thank god we had males in our group, if I was alone I would have been very scared at the way this driver was. I complained to Direct Booker they never replied and just left me on read!

Salona Sky apartments are amazing, please avoid direct booker and book with Salona Sky directly to avoid dealing with these people.

We booked a trip in Mlini

We booked a trip in Mlini, Dubrovnik through Direct Booker and couldn’t fault them one bit, we had difficulty finding our accommodation when we arrived late at night and phoned the helpline and a very helpful person answered and helped us contact our host and got us sorted. Id highly recommend them

Too bad you can't give zero stars because they deserve it. I booked a 3 day stay in Dubrovnik through Hotels.com Direct Booker(rather than the owner) was in charge of the listing and the initial booking of the property. The listing said dog allowed in 5 places. After I paid, they said they don't allow dogs. They refused to honor the terms stated in their listing. They changed the rules after they had the money. They refused to refund the money or honor their listing until I got Hotels.com customer service involved. There was stress and lots of wasted time interacting with Hotels.com customer service to get this resolved. The worst part is they just acted like it was all okay that they wouldn't honor the listing or refund. It it was like they were saying 'too bad for you.' No apology for anything. Very poor customer service. Basically, a dishonest bunch. Don't trust any listing that involves Direct Booker.

Poor service, difficult to talk to them

Booked a guest house room through Booking. I travel for work and need a proforma invoice. The one given by Booking contains inconsistencies. Each time I asked for this I didn't receive any reply, they only replied to say that the inconsistencies were in my bank account ... I'm currently not even sure I'll ever receive an invoice, given that they answer when they feel like, which means hardly ever.

Excellent

Excellent. We had to postpone our holiday twice due to covid restrictions. They were so helpful making the changes. When we finally got to go everything went smoothly. I would definitely use them again. All the people I spoke to via email were polite and helpful and answered all my questions promptly!
