Ding Dong Dim Sum Anmeldelser 

Hi,
I ate this for shared lunch with daughter and son in law. It was a rare treat and we all enjoyed it. My first time eating dim sum and I give it 10 stars.

All in all a very good delivery well packaged have had half the items we bought and all where very tasty and easy to follow cooking guides thankyou

Honestly I felt quite disappointed by the experience. The food wasn't bad, but I had ordered for a given day; having to order a week in advance, and on the day about 15 minutes before it was meant to arrive I get a message from DPD saying they can't deliver as the package was broken. I was emailed by DingDong Dim Sum and given the option to book again for the next day or get a refund. Of course this is quite inconvenient so I recommend you don't purchase for the day you want to eat the food, in case you have the same issue.
I was first interested in DingD Dim Sum as it has a nice premise, it's fresh food delivered to your door, that you can eat whenever you want. But in practice, the experience felt closer to a more expensive and more inconvenient food delivery. The food comes frozen in a huge box with dry ice and a big plastic bag, all of which you have to dispose of. If you don't own a steamer you need to buy either their bambu steamer or their paper steamer. The paper steamer is overpriced for what it is; at 8.50GBP for two paper steamers and 4x2 tbsp sauces, you're certainly not getting any sort of deal.
The quality of the food was ok, some better than others, they each have a different steaming time required but again if you've paid 8.50 for two paper steamers you can't exactly place each dim sum in a seperate steamer and you have to decide if you want over or undercooked dim sum. Also I bought a set and was recommended the 2x steamer basket and all the food didn't fit in it so things stuck together.
I guess in retrospect this product isn't really intended for me, I think if you're looking for a cheaper, or more convenient or tastier option to ordering dim sum already cooked/buying frozen from the supermarket, this isn't really the right service for you.
If money isn't a concern, and you don't need the food to arrive quickly or punctually, and you have the time to wait at home for a day for the delivery to possibly arrive, this isn't a bad option. The food is alright and I can imagine the process of cooking it at home could be good fun.

Excellent Dim sum, Char Sui buns were amazing as were the Sui mai.
The Gyozas were lovely however the spicy tofu one was so spicy I struggled to enjoy it.
No carrot included for the slaw as promises but used one of our own.
Will definitely be ordering again.

The food arrived well packed and was reasonably quick to prepare, and we enjoyed it. However, a BIG BUT coming here - it contains MSG which I haven't had in (Chinese) food for a long time. I had a raging thirst all night and the following morning I could have drunk a river dry. For this reason I won't be ordering again and I'm very surprised and disappointed that MSG is an ingredient.

We are a family of dim sum veterans. Remembering the times when we could only get dim sum from a select few restaurants on a Sunday lunchtime. Now my parents are older and we enjoy our family time with our dogs - we very much appreciate a company such as DingDong Dim Sum! Not only is the food tasty and comparable to a good traditional chinese restaurant, their service is incredible! I stupidly forgot to double check my shipping details and had it delivered to my billing address instead of my parents where I’m celebrating Christmas. I noticed the night before delivery on a Sunday afternoon and the order had already been registered with the courier. I was resigned to the fact that it would be a logistical nightmare to retrieve our order or that it would be sitting outside an empty house - going to waste! Romy at DingDong Dim Sum answered my messages and managed to reroute my order all on Sunday night. The order arrived at my parents a day later but the packaging meant that the food was still fresh and we scoffed it all straight away. Delicious food and smiles all-round. Very happy and recommend to everyone!

Wow, love these Dim Sum very special, I would travel a long way to get a great Dim Sum, now I can have them delivered to me. Hallelujah chefs kiss 💋

The dim sum is exceptional, had the legends box, the ribs and a couple of the everyday dim sums. Dips are so fresh and tasty

If buying this as a Gift beware. The website says the gift covers (1) all priced boxes (2) recipients shipping this costs.
This is not true.
Gift for 4 people includes a £70 voucher whereas the meal price for the standard dim sum box is £38:75/2ppl ie £77.50 with a further £8:50 charge.
Ie gift recipients pays circa extra £16.

Finally gift card sent out had expired - their customer service was efficient in rectifying this by activate the card themselves.

I love the dumplings, the quality is great and perfect for my easy work from home lunches!
The delivery service is also very easy and the dumplings always arrive still very much frozen, I don't have to worry about it.
I end up ordering in bulk every other months.

Orders are always delivered on time and in good packaging that is fully recyclable.

Lovely dim sum, easy to cook and enjoy at home. Everything we've tried has been amazing, and the boxes are literally feasts, we spread it over two meals. Also the carrot slaw dressing is outstanding.
