I am pleased with the website developed by Digital Software Labs. The initial timeline presented in the proposal was not realistic given the scope of the site and the approaching holidays in December & January. However, once I started working with the developer assigned, we communicated consistently to ensure content and context for the website were moving in the right direction. When changes were needed, I received a professional response requesting that I review and approve the updates. Overall, Digital Software Labs is a capable and professional operation. I will expand the website at some point and I have no reservations about contacting Digital Software Labs about working on future projects.

It is with genuine frustration that I write this review of Digital Software Labs. After an initial phone conversation, the team appeared professional and personable. However, once full payment was received, communication deteriorated significantly. Meetings became sporadic and were only possible between 4pm and 5pm London time, which proved wholly impractical for a functioning business schedule.

A critical point of dispute arose when we decided not to purchase domain hosting through them. At this stage, their demeanour changed entirely. They became hostile and demanded additional fees for basic plugins such as payment gateways and live chat functionality—items any reasonable development company would include as standard or disclose upfront.

When we questioned this, we were told that the individual who onboarded us had failed to pass on information, and that this was therefore our fault, leaving us with no choice but to pay. Subsequently, they attempted to pressure us into signing a non‑disclosure agreement, and further stated that if the website did not function correctly, that too would be our responsibility.

This has been the most painful professional experience I have endured with any group of people. Their conduct suggests a complete lack of competence and, frankly, a disregard for ethical business practice. I suspect they are operating as a scam from India.

Work with them at your own peril. I strongly urge anyone reading this to look elsewhere.

I original gave this company a positive review. Boy was I wrong. Here's why:

Throughout the building of the site, they were good. Turnaround time was sometimes a problem, changes taking much longer than expected or stated, but I was willing to wait to get it right. Once I signed off, even though there were a few items to be completed, everything changed. They REALLY wanted me to review their work, which I did. After going live, there were several things that did not work or were not completed as promised. Examples: The email system did not work - I never received an email through the website. Vendors could not signup online or pay - a MAJOR problem. I liked the look of the forms they developed, but they don't work. Vendors called saying they could not submit or pay. Same with any of the payment portals.

After multiple times of trying to get these worked out, staff stopped returning my calls or answering my emails. After registering a complaint with our state Attorney General, I did get to speak to someone who told me we needed to purchase a maintenance contract at several hundred dollars/yr. This was never discussed anywhere in my RFP or their submission.

I asked them to turn over full control of the website to me and was told I did not have the expertise to manage the site and it required their programers to function properly. They hosted our site with Hostinger, so I went on to Hostinger's site to take back control and could not without permission from Digital Software Labs. DSL would not respond to my requests for this. We purchased our domain - .org - but we cannot get it back from DSL.

Since all this transpired, I've learned how to build our website, host it, and manage every aspect of the website. I did this on Hostinger.com with their website builder assistance. Everything works, I get emails, vendor signup and payment, registrations for a conference, an online store, link genealogy sites, etc. AND. . . I did it all for under $350.00. I've asked for a refund of at least DLS hosting fee - which is not forthcoming. I also want our .org domain as I had to build our new site with a different domain - .com, which doesn't best describe us.

I thought I did my due diligence when searching for a reliable company, I spent historical society money - which was a hard sell. I have been embarrassed by promoting a site that did not function properly and lost face with the organization by not delivering what I promised. Thankfully, I have re-established my reputation as a reliable member and delivering what I promised by learning to do this on my own.

Believe me, you can do this on your own.

Excellent service at a brilliant price. The team get the work done and are very responsive. We had some hiccoughs with the hosting set-up but my account manager Edward made sure things got done. He also provided excellent customer service throughout. I would say that it's important with this service to do some of the final edits oneself in Wordpress - but their systems made it easy to do this.

We entered into a contract in which Digital Labs agreed to operate an FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant) business on my behalf. Under this agreement, I purchased inventory that was then loaded into my Amazon seller account.
Once customer orders began to arrive, Digital Labs failed to deliver the inventory items as required. As a result of these unfulfilled orders, Amazon ultimately deactivated my seller account.
Despite the obligations clearly outlined in our signed agreement, Digital Labs has failed to provide the refund owed to me for the undelivered inventory and associated payments.

Jason Parker from Digital Software Labs worked on my website project, and he delievered the site quickly as requested, and understood my vision. I'm extremely happy with the service and would highly recommend him and this company to anyone looking for a professional web development.

Digital Software Labs did a great job designing my race logo. Jason ws professional and creates a design that I was extremely pleased with I will definitely have more work done!

This are 5 stars Fraud Pro Max company. Please don't fall for them. I paid thousands of $$$ for them to build me an App, they have nothing for me since 2023 and this is 2026.

It was great experience working with Edward Myles. He had the poster ready in short time as requested. He was patient and really understood well what we wanted and provided the design even better than we asked for. Really happy with the service and would recommend to everyone.

I hired Digital Software Labs to redesign my website. In addition to the original agreed fee, I was charged $600 for plugins they said were required. In the end, none of those plugins were actually used and the site worked without them, so it honestly felt like I paid for something unnecessary. They have since refused to refund this amount saying it was used for the completion of the site even though all work completed was within the original contract.

On top of that, they kept trying to upsell me to their hosting platform, which I later reviewed and found to be heavily overpriced for what it offered. Throughout the project, it felt like they weren’t really listening to what I needed. My requests were overlooked, the work kept being handed off from one person to another, and in the end the project manager didn’t even have a copy of my original contract.

The project was supposed to take a few weeks but ended up dragging into months with slow progress and inconsistent communication. When the site was finally finished, it was built with a basic drag-and-drop editor and didn’t feel like a true custom design.

Overall, the unnecessary charges ($600 lost), the constant upselling, the long delays, and the lack of attention to detail made this a very frustrating experience. I can’t recommend this company based on what I went through and still trying to handle.

It took a few rounds, but we finally got the design nailed down. I had to provide a lot of artwork to get them started because the initial designs they provided weren't acceptable to me.
