Extortionate prices
Looked on line a week ago, £25 a ticket for my son’s birthday which we thought was a bit pricey but he wanted to go, went to book for today and it’s £38 to book on the day tickets why so expensive to book on the day?
We went to light water valley instead £83 for a family of four for a fab day out or £152 Diggerland to book on the day.
I did call but I was told nothing could be done I don’t understand how this can go up £50 to book on the day when the price stays the same till midnight the night before it’s just greed
We came last year for my sons birthday and he wanted to come again this year but luckily he had a great day at light water valley instead

We do recommend booking tickets online in advance to get the best value, as our on-the-day prices are higher. This structure helps us manage visitor numbers and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
The online pricing remains available until midnight the day before, and we always encourage booking early where possible.

Don't rush to go there
Went to Diggerland today, unlucky with the weather as it was raining on and off. Would have been good to have somewhere to shelter from weather. also very muddy going onto attractions , one had a puddle so deep my grandson decided not to go on the attraction as there was no way around it. Wear suitable footwear would be my advice - wellingtons!!! Was quite enjoyable, but more could be made of it. Cafe was poor, food poor and over priced. Best to take your own. Staff were very helpful and pleasant on the rides.

Took my 2 children over the age of 9…
Took my 2 children over the age of 9 and they had an amazing time. It was very hot and there was no shading while we watched the kids play. Waited for a train ride but it broke down.. we went with our 2 friends who had 2 children under 4. 1 with a standing disability and was told she was not allowed on any of the rides as she was not allowed to sit on mums lap so my friend missed out on going on any rides because she had to stay with her daughter in the buggy. Paid full price for her only to go on nothing and missed out on all the fun. The soft play was not disabled friendly for a child who cant stand. It was just sad to see my friend and her daughter missing out on a treat 😔 not many tables to sit at either had to stand and eat.
Management emailed saying her daughter could of gone on rides if she sat in a seat on her own. She cant use her legs so how can she. She was told in every ride 'no shes to small, no shes not allowed on mums lap. Awful excuse. No refund offered for my friend who didn't go on any rides as a full paying adult. All about the money not about the people. Legoland next year. They have people skills.

We’re really pleased to hear that your older children had an amazing time at Diggerland. However, we’re genuinely sorry to learn that parts of the visit didn’t meet expectations for your friend and her daughter.
We understand how important it is that all guests feel included and able to enjoy their time at the park. Unfortunately, some rides do have minimum height requirements in place for safety reasons. As such, we are unable to allow children to sit on someone’s lap, as this would go against our strict health and safety guidelines. We’re sorry if this limited your friend’s daughter’s experience on the day.
Regarding admission, we do state that all guests entering the park are required to purchase a ticket, as this grants access to all attractions and experiences available.
In relation to the Diggerland Train Ride, please note it was only temporarily closed for approximately 30 minutes to allow for a minor maintenance check and coolant refill. It resumed normal operation for the remainder of the day outside of this brief closure.
Your comments have been shared with our Management team for review as we continuously work to improve the experience for all our guests.

Why is there not one in Scotland?! :) we had a fantastic afternoon at the Durham site. Staff were so friendly, fun and helpful. Rides all operating with zero wait times almost, riders turned over seamlessly and enthusiastically. Thanks for a great day out.

Pick your visit day wisely taking into account your childs age. My son is 2 and we had to leave as he screamed in pain and stress from all the sand flying everywhere constantly in eyes, mouth and face. The customer service is appalling too. When explaining this all they say is that it’s beyond their control and offer no form of compensation for the fact you travelled miles and the day was cut short because of an unbearable day. They offer no warning to people regarding weather. It was my sons birthday and they categorically do not care.

As an outdoor attraction, Diggerland is exposed to the natural elements, and on particularly dry and windy days, there can unfortunately be an increased presence of dust or sand in the air. While we do what we can to maintain site conditions, this is not something we are able to fully control.

Highly recommended for a fun filled day out
Fantastic day out at Diggerland in Castleford. So much to do for children and adults, we spent 6 hours digging, driving and going on rides. My daughter is 9 and was able to go on every piece of machinery, the minimum highly to drive is 140cm.
The staff were excellent, very patient, supportive and friendly.
I did think it was expensive when I booked it, pre booking with fee is £54 for two of us, however, this is money well spent. Only extra money we spent was on a drink and an ice cream.
Would highly recommend for a fun filled day out.

Great day out at Diggerland
We visited Diggerland, Devon yesterday and had a brilliant day out. The young staff from the reception, cafe and rides were all so helpful and friendly. The ride staff were all welcoming and patient with the children. The rides were great and our three generations all had fun stacking tyres, driving a landrover, digging holes and scooping ducks. It was a lovely memorable day out and great value for money too. Thank you Diggerland.

Another amazing day at Diggerland in…
Another amazing day at Diggerland in Durham. We all love this place it's such fun . We came last year and had a great day and once again had the best day out . Our favourite ride is the Safari with Safari Dave the guy is worth the entrance fee alone he is so funny . We all love the new Jeep and both boys got to sit in the front. In premise the Safari is a trip through wooded area with cut out animals but Safari Dave brings the animals to life with his one liners and the boys love what the 2 dirty monkeys get up too. And the Zonky is hilarious. And my eldest was tall enough this time to drive the discovery and thanks to senor Willy 😂 . Dare say we will all be back soon .

Kids had an absolute ball
Kids had an absolute ball. They had so much fun they forgot to eat the whole day. Most of the staff we good. Some seemed a bit stale or jaded but overall a good experience.

Absolutely love this place
Absolutely love this place! 2nd time of visiting. One thing we noticed is although the staff are on the rides saying the same things over and over, it never seems like it. They make you feel like it's the first time they've explained anything, super friendly and helpful staff who are brilliant with the kids. Loved the man on the safari trail with his jokes and facts, my 14 year thought he was 'cool' we visited the begining of august , weather was windy but didn't stop the fun. We'll definitely be back. 14 year old loved the 4x4 driving and the little ones loved the little jeeps. Well done diggerland, price wise it was quite dear for a family of 6 but I understand the maintenance of the machines. Lovely little touch with the certificates at the end of the day .

We took our son for his 4th birthday…
We took our son for his 4th birthday and had an amazing time. He was able to get on most of the diggers either with one of us or by himself. The staff were very friendly and polite. We also went for lunch in a café, and the food was good and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it.

Great place to visit
Great place to visit. We went for my sons birthday and he absolutely loved it. The place had everything we needed in terms of places to eat, soft play and rides for our smaller child to go on and plenty for my son and his friends to do.

Perfect for anyone who loves diggers
This is a perfect day out for anyone who loves diggers, young or old. There are diggers for different skill levels and sizes. Fun rides. Great soft play. Play area with little ride on cars. A cafe with decent food and slushies. All set to a brilliant soundtrack. It is easy to push a buggy around. Small enough that you won’t be exhausted walking around. Plenty of spots to sit and rest, or feed little ones. I cannot fault Diggerland, we love it so much!
