Hey, I bought something online, but my experience was really bad. At first, I thought it was a fraud because I didn't receive a confirmation number after my purchase. Then I tried to cancel, but it wasn't possible — the charge goes through immediately, even before the website shows the order. The only thing that works properly is charging you. And even if you pay extra for faster shipping, the package still arrives incomplete.

Paid for 2 day expedited delivery $24, package not scheduled until 6 days later. Unable to pick up package earlier from FedEx. No reply from blick to email. Extremely rude person with a southern accent kept repeating all the days they don't deliver on. She refused to refund the expedited delivery charge. She sighed and hung up on me. No "how can we do to help?". No "well sorry about that". She did say "Don't ever call fed ex" I plan to return all the items back to them (Do they even give refunds?) I simply cannot support Blick anymore.

I spoke three times with customer service and never received an email confirmation of my order. The fourth time I spoke to a customer service representative who did send me an email finally, but when I clicked on the email it just opened up to Blick supplies. it doesn't tell me about my order. when I hit track and the tracking number it just says it was purchased. it doesn't say it was shipped or when I'm going to receive it. they give you absolutely no information about an order, in fact one customer service representative was very snarky.. saying quote unquote, if you didn't receive an email then how do you know your order number? and I told her that I took a screenshot of it. very nasty and condescending and I haven't received my supplies yet. I believe they're coming Tuesday but I have no idea because nobody told me. I never received any confirmation about it

Recently picked up acrylic painting as a hobby. In my learning, I had been mostly shopping through Amazon, Michael’s, and Hobby lobby. Then one day I stumbled onto Blick, not only are their prices several dollars per product cheaper, their delivery times are only beaten by Amazon. Obviously tubes of paint are a large expense in this hobby, I found them to sometimes be 2 to 3 dollars cheaper per tube then say like Michaels.

Fantastic service! Ordered a lot of PanPastel, got it fast and excellent packed. Would buy from them again.

Blick is my favorite artists upply store. I buy art supplies for several artists i work withand send the materials and supplies to Blick is the best at delivering on time and has some incredible products i can't get in my home country.

If you a Blick “member,” you are promised the lowest Blick price, instore or on line. This is a bit of an illusion. I went to buy retouch varnish at my local store. It cost $16.99. On line the varnish is $12.95 (24% off list $17.19). Economy shipping is $9.95. Blick’s on line price is actually $22.90 (unit cost plus shipping). On account of the shipping the online line price will most likely never be lower than the in store price. In short, List price is $17.19, in store price is $16.99 and online price is $22.90. It’s a bit of bait and switch which is used to justify the in store price, which is in fact only 20 cents lower than the list price. So be care when you buy!

I ordered a single large canvas from Blick on a Sunday night. 60 x 36". It arrived 4 days later. I held my breath as I tediously cut open the shipping carton that was custom-made for this canvas. It was like unwrapping a puzzle. When I finally pulled it free I looked over every inch of it and there was not one single ding, rip, scuff or smudge anywhere. It was perfect!

And, the same canvas from another retailer would have cost 2.5 times what I paid Blick, in large part due to shipping fees.

I love the items the issue is shipping time. It's been nearly a week and I'm still waiting on a relatively small package.

Good competitive prices quick delivery and free shipping if you order the minimum amount which for me usually is the case. To me that means alot. I have been buying from them a long time and placed many orders. Very pleased with their service.

When I tried to order from Blick all of my coupons worked. It was a blessing I had them because I was ordering lots of supplies I needed, the order went through but then like a day later customer service said all the coupons can’t be applied. So the total went up and they asked if I still wanted to and I asked if they can apply the coupons as a one time exception because this was my first time using the website and I didn’t know, all I knew was that it applied. They did not want to do the one time exception and so I had to cancel the order as it would have been way higher than what I was supposed to pay. Overall my first experience was not the best and I will order art supplies from other places.

Was not happy my order delivery with usps in high temp Calif now, Blick agreed to refund 100%, would try to have FedEx to prevent any heat alteration to paint in future, despite statements that it does not alter. Response prompt and fair

I bought from Blick for years in person, online, and from their catalog. They used to be a nice company with great customer service, but they now have automatons working for them. They won't stand behind their products, refused to replace a defective, small-ticket product, and they fudge their reviews in the following ways: 1. refuse to post negative reviews of products, 2. consolidate reviews for different/wrong/even other manufacturers of products to boost ratings. It's really dishonest, and I no longer buy from them (after decades of buying from them)... There are some smaller retailers still online like DaVinci, Mister ARt, Art Supply Warehouse that also need business and treat customers better. Also, I buy from Jackson's in the UK. The shipping is doable (Blick isn't cheap), and orders arrive at about the same time because Blick is now so slow to ship (this wasn't always the case). In fact, when I tried to get some watercolor tubes today from Jackson's (in the UK), it was cheaper to ship than it was from Blick (yes, with international shipping). Blick has just gone downhill. Maybe the grownups retired. Cheap prices aren't everything, and some customers are willing to pay a bit more for good service and to be treated with respect.

Follow-up after reading Blick's response to my review--since Blick wanted to 'splain me about reviews. There was nothing offensive in anything you didn't post. And it happened many times. When you are picking and choosing, you are stacking the reviews and that is deception. Also, I am a writer, so reviews submitted, while not masterpieces, were concise, honest, and insightful.

If consolidating reviews was a glitch, why did you refuse to respond to my query about it (months ago)? This is another example of how you have changed. \

Lastly, when you demand receipts from purchases from dead people, I think anyone would find you unreasonable, not to mention, insensitive, but I am not sure you are not using AI for customer service now, as it was pretty clear there was nothing human on the receiving end of my query.

LoI used to think this was a top notch art supply company. Our school district orders from them. Recently, I ordered canvas stretchers with 2 cross pieces. In the description, it states they send a set of w brackets and keys for each cross pieces. I did not receive them. I contacted customer service, they mailed ONE SET OF BRACKETS AND ONE KEY. I give up. Ordered a set of brackets from Amazon.Thus is my last order from Blick. I'll find some more reliable, truthful company.

In response to your reply, Blick: WHEN I REPORTED THIS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE, I GAVE THEM THE ORDER NUMBER AND TOLD THEM I HAD ORDERED TWO CROSS PIECES. EACH ONE, ACCORDING TO YOUR WEBSITE WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A PAIR OF BRACKETS PER CROSSPIECE AND KEYS FOR THE STRETCHERS.YOU DID MAIL ONE KEY AND ONE PAIR OF BRACKETS. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO MOUNT THE OTHER CROSS PIECE WITHOUT ITS BRACKETS? THAT'S WHEN I GAVE UP ON THE BLICK COMPANY AND ORDERED BRACKETS FROM AMAZON. MY EXPLANATION WAS CLEARLY EXPLAINED IN THE EMAIL I SENT YOU, THE ORDER COULD BE VIEWED TO SEE WHAT I HAD ORDERED AND, IN MY ORIGINAL REVIEW AS SEEN ABOVE, I EXPLAINED WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET AND WHAT WAS SENT. I ordered a frame for a client project from Blick. When I received it, it looked like something you would pull off the shelf at target. I was authorized to return it, but shocked to find that I had to return it at my own expense and because of its size all three major carriers wanted more money than I had paid for the frame. Anywhere between 200 and $600. Blick offered no resolution and nowhere on their website when I ordered the frame did it say if you return it your responsible for the shipping. Do yourself a favor and go to pictureframes.com or any other online company because you don’t want to buy from Blick. I’ve ordered a lot of supplies from Blick over the years and never had a problem, but this is a big one. Oh, and their claim for a guaranteed satisfaction? It’s just noise there’s no teeth to it.

This review is about my last order and not easy access to return option.I purchase often from this company.
1. it is very unpleasant that if they sent you a defective item in order to return you have to waste time and effort to figure out how to return and ship it back! Big company like that have to have easy and convenient ways for returns!
2. The non glare sheets are a HUGE disappointment! I was hoping because it is thinner it will be better, but no, the image still looks blurry and foggy. A lot of defects on each sheet, some white dots and dents.

I got the Blick Pony and Alphabet beads the pony beads were way smaller than advertised the pictures made them look bigger when in reality they are tiny

Offer a solid in store and online experience- and across their operations, you can tell they are a company with a solid value base

I’m a potter and for years I’ve purchased all of my glazes from Blick. There is a pottery store close to me but Blick beats their prices and the shipping is fast.

I love everything about Blick. Ordering is simple. If I have a question I can call a person. If I make a mistake they fix it. If they make a mistake they fix it. Shipping is smooth. If there’s a back order they let you know. They don’t finish the painting if I get stuck, but they have the frames ready to go when I’m finished!
