Looks good short-term, not sustainable long-term
It's worth mentioning first that the ranking is 10 from nearly everyone on Checkatrade, as I was encouraged to leave one. For me, it was "If you rate us a 10 on Checkatrade, we [the fitters] get an extra £50 bonus" I didn't feel too bad about it at the time - looked good, the floor was only mostly level but other than that it was nice.
Less than a year since I had the bathroom fitted, and I've already had multiple issues: the pipes connected to the towel rack are already fading away with their paint, the window trims have already broken off three times (two times the fitter has had to come back to re-seal them), the pipe from the sink has leaked, and the wastage pipe for the toilet has broken a second time, causing water to flood.
Independent engineers from my home insurance inspected my bathroom after the wastage pipe broke again, and confirmed the bathroom installation was not carried out correctly, pointing out other things I wouldn't have known such as how the toilet is glued in. Since then, I've had to have the waste pipe replaced entirely, and I have been advised there has been damage exposed by DH1 Bathrooms which shows a crack in my roof from how the original wastage pipe was handled.
For the £7000+ I paid, I expected a durable bathroom. I shouldn't have to be getting someone to re-fit my entire wastage pipe. I've been caused significant inconvenience, well before the first anniversary of my installation.
