Worst company I’ve ever experienced.
Very Poor Experience – Serious Mechanical Issues & Unacceptable Conduct
We purchased a camper van from DG Campers on 18 October 2025 for £22,000. Unfortunately, our experience over the following three months was extremely poor.
Immediate faults:
Within minutes of leaving the dealership, the van went into limp mode on the M6 with a DPF warning light. We were advised to continue driving. A local garage later confirmed the DPF filter was faulty. We also discovered:
The AdBlue range sensor was not working and had been deleted
Heated seats were non-functional due to seat changes
The van was returned to us dirty, with rubbish inside
Repairs & lack of support:
DG Campers collected the van on 21 October, but no courtesy vehicle was provided or funded, despite this being our only vehicle and living over three hours away. Communication throughout was poor and inconsistent.
The van was returned on 25 October, but further issues continued. On 10 November, we reported excessive oil consumption and were advised to monitor it. After doing so, we contacted DG Campers again on 4 December, receiving no response for some time.
We eventually delivered the van back on 9 December. After this point, communication became extremely difficult.
Further problems:
On 12 December, we were told the turbo needed replacing. On 15 December, we were informed:
The wrong part had been ordered
The repair would not be completed before Christmas
DG Campers were not insured to keep the van over Christmas
We were expected to collect the van unrepaired
A courtesy vehicle was again refused
Our insurer confirmed that driving the van in this condition would invalidate our insurance. DG Campers then stopped responding to calls.
Conduct of owners:
When we advised that we would be seeking a refund, conversations with owners Mark and Andrew became verbally abusive and aggressive. One in-person interaction involved swearing and threats. These interactions were recorded and are being used as evidence.
Vehicle return & paperwork:
The van was eventually returned on 15 January, 37 days after we dropped it off. It was returned with very low fuel and without paperwork for the turbo replacement. DG Campers have since refused to provide this documentation.
Summary:
Serious mechanical issues from day one
No courtesy vehicle during lengthy repairs
Poor or non-existent communication
Aggressive and abusive behaviour from owners
Long periods without our vehicle
Withheld repair documentation
This review is factual and documented. We are sharing our experience so others can make an informed decision before purchasing from DG Campers.
