I first headed over to the ChatBot to ask for guidance with my issue, which directed me within seconds on what I needed to email and to where. The support team got back to me via email within the hour and told me how to solve my issue (with their assistance in the back end) within minutes. Super impressed with this quick, efficient and friendly customer support. Thanks Ivelin! :)

Dext est un outil que j'utilise sur les recommandations de mon expert comptable. Il est particulièrement bien conçu et très intuitif à utiliser. Les différentes possibilités d'accès, web, smartphone sont agréables et me permettent de charger très simplement toute mes factures d'achat quelque soit le moment, le lieu où l'environnement. La fonction pour envoyer une facture sur une adresse mail spécifique est très agréable et réduit considérablement le temps à consacrer à la comptabilité. La lecture des documents par l'outil est particulièrement efficace. Je n'utilise pas en revanche le module facture de vente.

This review is about the customer support team specifically. The product itself is ok, although the fetch option is hopeless, for what I need it does the job.

However, on to their support. So I needed to cram 6 months of accounts into a single month and ran out of credits to do this. I temporarily increased my subscription to the higher tier. My error was I forgot to immediately downgrade, which I accept.
I received an invoice at 1:40am on the renewal day and on waking at 7:40am and realising my oversight, immediately downgraded to the lower tier, which is more than I need. Unfortunately, despite being only a few hours since the renewal, I was told my subscription would be downgraded next month.

The higher tier is something I simply could not use, I don’t have over 250 receipts etc to import and only have 1 user, so I could not benefit from this tier.

I therefore contacted “support” immediately to request assistance and a credit for the difference.

What I got was a “computer says no” style response and citing of terms and conditions “I explicitly agreed too”. No hint of support at all. Just having the predicament you contacted them for in the first place, retold to you.

So in effect I have been frankly PENALISED.

They did not provide a renewal reminder (which isn’t a crime), but the whole experience has left an extremely bad taste in my mouth.

Looking at the vast majority of negative reviews, it seems DEXT needs to seriously work on their customer service skills or just save their money and employ AI, because the responses I got dragged out over just over a week were robotic without a hint of empathy.

You may think you have won £30 today DEXT, but alienating your customers is never a good move and you’ve actually just lost a monthly subscriber for many years to come. For a company that provides accounting tools, your maths is a little off it seems.

**UPDATE**
I am a monthly customer and therefore do not get 37 or 60 day reminders. I also pay by direct debit, which can be reversed at any point. I like how you have completely avoided the concept of a refund or credit, like there was just nothing that could be done. Unfortunately your response has just strengthened my argument. I have paid for something I cannot use (thankfully only a monthly fee), you know it, but refuse to help. Im extremely thankful I’m not trying to claim back an annual subscription.

Dext helps me save time by categorizing invoices accurately and consistently. Having an additional copy stored in Dext, besides Xero, is a valuable plus.

And should there be any questions you may have, they are always there.

I had a system issue and Joe supported me in resolving it promptly without any hesitation. I was very impressed with his professionalism and efficiency. The service I received was outstanding. Using Dext its straight forward and easy to get around it

Dext has shown zero integrity. They auto-renewed my annual subscription without warning or giving me the chance to cancel. This is nothing short of predatory. When I contacted their customer service, they were completely unhelpful, refusing to take responsibility or offer a real solution. It’s clear they care more about trapping customers into payments than actually providing good service. I will never use Dext again and strongly warn others to stay away from this company.

With Dext my book keeping bacame a breeze. I love the mail to Dext feature where I can just forward emailed invoices and it's automatically loaded. And with the Dext mobile app, it's so easy to take a photo of those easy-to-lose receipts that I always misplaced in the past and upload it straight away. This feature is also great for my accountant's blood pressure. Dext is quick, easy and user friendly.

Le fait de ne plus entrer les montants de taxes manuellement, la désignation du compte de dépense, le nom du fournisseur qui sont tous pris en charge de facon automatique, bref, toutes ses fonctionnalités nous sauvent un temps énorme.

Facile et simple a utiliser en ligne ou sur l’application cellulaire. C’est de loin l’application à classer 5 étoiles *****

Leur outil fait vraiment gagner du temps et minimise les erreurs sur le traitements des factures. Un gain de temps génial.

En tant qu'utilisateur, je trouve que Dext est facile d'emploi et me permet instantanément de comptabiliser les quelques factures que j'ai.
