I had the opportunity to take part in the Dexate Explorer Programme, where I was able to use the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for 2 week to shoot some videos of my new Audi RS5. Having never used professional camera equipment before, I was really excited to have the opportunity to learn how to use the camera properly and see what I could create with it.

One of the things I enjoyed most about the programme was the training and guidance provided at the beginning. I was shown what the camera could do, how to use its different features, and given advice on how I could improve the quality of my shots. What I particularly liked was that I wasn't simply given the equipment and left to figure everything out myself. I was supervised through the learning process to a degree where I could build up my confidence and understanding before being given the freedom to go away and experiment for myself.

This is where I think the "Explorer" aspect of the programme really stands out. Once I had learned the fundamentals, I was able to do my own thing and explore different ways of filming. Being able to take the knowledge I had been given and then develop it independently was extremely gratifying. It also gave me the opportunity to learn through failure. Not every shot worked, and some ideas didn't turn out the way I expected, but being able to experiment and understand what went wrong helped me learn far more than simply being told what to do.

As for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 itself, I was very impressed with the camera, particularly when it came to producing smooth and stable shots. The gimbal makes a noticeable difference and allowed me to capture some really nice footage of the RS5 while moving around the car. For automotive content, where smooth tracking shots and movement can make a big difference, I found the camera particularly effective.

The main drawback I noticed is also related to the gimbal. While it provides excellent stabilisation, it also makes the camera feel more delicate than a traditional action camera. The gimbal and moving components mean it needs to be handled with care, particularly when transporting or setting up the camera. This isn't necessarily a criticism of the camera, but it is something I would definitely consider when using it.

Overall, my experience with the Dexate Explorer Programme was excellent. The whole process was easy, smooth and efficient, and most importantly, it was extremely fun. Having the opportunity to use professional camera equipment for the first time, receive guidance from people who knew what they were doing, and then have the freedom to experiment and develop my own skills was a really rewarding experience.

I came away from the programme not only with some great footage of my car, but also with a much better understanding of filming, camera movement and what goes into creating good content. I would definitely recommend the Dexate Explorer Programme to anyone who is interested in photography or videography and wants the opportunity to learn, experiment and explore for themselves.

I got the opportunity to use the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro through the Dexate Studios Explorer Programme to film the Carnage 6th Anniversary 6km Mall Run at One Galle Face in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

This was actually my first time ever vlogging a run, so the whole experience was pretty new to me. Running 6km while also trying to document the experience, talk to the camera and capture what was happening around me definitely pushed me outside my comfort zone, but that ended up being one of the things I enjoyed most about it.

Having the camera with me made the whole run feel a bit more memorable. I was talking to it before the start, checking in during the run and then again once I had finished, so when I watched everything back it actually felt like I had documented the experience properly rather than just taken a few random clips.

What I really liked about the Explorer Programme is that it gave me the opportunity to try something different. I probably would not have thought about properly vlogging an experience like this before, but having access to the equipment encouraged me to actually do it and become more comfortable being in front of the camera.

For me, that is what makes the programme interesting. It is not only about getting access to good equipment, but also about having the opportunity to go out, try something new and capture experiences that you might otherwise only have as a memory.

I really enjoyed my experience with the programme and I am definitely looking forward to getting more involved with it and seeing what else I can document in the future.

Over the weekend my brother and I got to go to our uncles wedding and we were able to make the memories last with the explorer programme. We took the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo from Dexate Studios.

Throughout the event we had the camera set up in places to record the ceremony, we had our youngest cousins take some videos on it to see the wedding from their point of view and we recorded little things here and there of family and friends having fun. One of the favourite things I documented using the camera was the first dance of the newly married couple with everyone around them. It was so lovely that everyone could get together and witness this and to be able to have it on camera and the memory recorded forever.

I had used the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 previously briefly but when I used it properly at the wedding it was easy to use with no difficulties whatsoever. The experience I had with the explorer programme and camera was amazing and 10/10. I would highly recommend.

This was a very much needed trip for me and my friend to get out of the office all week staring at the computer and touch some grass. We had a hike planned and were excited to document our journey and just vlog and talk to the camera to record our memories and conversations. Because yeah we will remember the visuals on the hike itself in our mind in the future but our time there and conversations and thoughts we will not remember unless documented! So having the osmos to vlogs allows us to keep these memories forever for a very enjoyable playback. Additionally as we arrived to our hike destination we had an IDEA, something else that the osmo allowed us to complete... we thought why don't we make a MUSIC VIDEO. We both agreed straight away, we went on our playlists chose the first suitable song and suddenly we were music video producers. We made such a fun music video throughout our hike that will now likely become a tradition all because of the osmo!

My sister and went to the UAE and Oman and managed to solidify the experience in our minds with the Dexate Studios Explorer Programme. I used the DJI Action 6 pro and it handled everything I needed it too perfectly from recording family moments to off-roading in the desert. My most memorable experience was being able to give the camera to my younger cousins who recorded things from their perspectives and seeing what they got up too. Overall the experience with the explorer programme was 10/10 and I highly recommend it.

I was honoured to have been able to be part of this programme and obtain some incredible experience and knowledge throughout. We as a team were flown to Budapest to document and create advertising for the opening of a European healthy food restaurant called wrapsta.

This trip to me was as very special as it put me a step forward into a new life I wanted to explore.
It was something I’d possibly never have had the chance to do if not for the creators programme.

highlights of my trip include:
the opportunity to meet a group of incredible new people and to see what it was like working in such a different environment,
Most of all though it would be the amount of education I received on such a variety of topics; the structure and planning of each day & its videos, traveling by myself and recapping on each days events and how they went.

Training and equipment:
Going hand in hand with the highlights from my trip would be being able to explore a variety of new equipment such as using the dji osmo pocket 3 and the Sony A7 iii, I even dabbled in a little bit of the Sony fx6, this camera is nothing like I’ve ever even seen before and was pretty fun to learn about.

Lastly being in front and control of these cameras was something completely new for me taking me right out of my comfort zone opening an entirely new door of opportunities to explore.

Overall Dexate studios’ creator programme is an excellent example of what it means to take that next or new step forward and have an excellent team to support you during so.

I heavily recommend this to anyone needing a new start and wanting to venture into a new chapter of their life.

I recently went to the centurion staunch nexus bridal runway at the Hilton metropole London with the Dexate team to watch our friend, Paige Elaine, model which was one of the main highlights of the event. Watching Paige Elaine getting ready behind stage and being able to watch her walking on the catwalk was so great to see behind the scene and how she prepared for it and she looked amazing modelling. Another highlight of the event was how good the food was that was made by Pride Asia. Truly amazing, with flavour, presentation and the food not being too filling and just the right amount.

Throughout the event to capture all the models and mainly Paige walking down multiple times, I was using the DJI action 6 pro and the DJI osmo pocket 3. I was already a little bit familiar with using the DJI action 6 pro so I was comfortable with that however the DJI osmo pocket 3 was a new camera to me that I had never used before and it was quiet fun to try it out and test different features that the action 6 pro did not have.

Part of the journey that I enjoyed the most was being able to experience the whole event for the first time. It was all very organised. Throughout the event I met a few people and had some conversations with them and made some connections. One of my favourite parts of being able to be there was watching Paige walk as I have watched her grow as a model and become more confident.

One thing I learnt was to not be scared to talk to other people because they could be as nervous as you to talk to others. Talking to others has potentially opened up new things for the future and just learning to communicate better with people which is also something out of my comfort zone.

One thing that I could’ve done and will do in the future if I get this opportunity again is to go and sit closer to the models walking to get better shots on the cameras.

Overall, the event was well organised and watching our friend Paige Elaine walk down the catwalk was amazing to see and one of my most favourite moments whilst being at the Centurion Staunch Nexus Bridal Runway event.

A highlight was seeing my friend Paige Elaine walk, the clothes were beautiful and presented very well.
Paige Elaine was incredibly confident and carried herself very well, she could very easily draw attention & her mannerisms were very fitting.
The food was incredible and venue was lovely.
There was so many inspiring people at the venue, which was lovely too!

I recently had the opportunity to take part in the Dexate Studios Creator Programme, attending the Centurion Staunch Nexus Bridal Runway at the Hilton Metropole London as part of the team.

A highlight of the experience was seeing Paige Elaine walk the runway across multiple line-ups. The event itself was exceptionally well organised, with a professional atmosphere and excellent hospitality, which made it all the more enjoyable to be part of.

During the event, I worked with the Sony FX6, which was slightly outside of my comfort zone. However, it was a valuable opportunity to develop my technical skills and gain confidence using professional equipment in a live setting.

Beyond the technical aspect, I also appreciated the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and connect with others within the creative space. It added a strong sense of community to the overall experience.

Overall, the programme provided a well-rounded and rewarding experience, and I look forward to attending future events, particularly those involving Paige Elaine. I would highly recommend the Dexate Studios Creator Programme to anyone looking to grow within a creative and professional environment.

I visited Portugal for the second time Lagos on the Algarve same place as before. I took the DJI Action 6 Pro and the DJI 4 Mini Pro making sure I’m getting some real quality shots on the drone. I captured most days on the Action 6 pro strolling the streets chilling on the beach eating breakfast or dinner capturing them funny moments and the pure conversations not just acting up for a camera like most people nowadays. While renting out the equipment Danny.G was very flexible making sure I get the equipment for the time I’m there. The drone was great fun as I’ve never personally owned a drone before.

I had an amazing experience with the Dexate Studios Explorer Programme. I borrowed a couple of cameras for my trip to China (dji action camera and osmo pocket) me and my friend had one each and they made such a difference in capturing the journey. From everyday moments we could've possibly forgotten about to some really special highlights. The equipment was easy to use especially after Danny taught us how to use them and they produced great quality footage.

One of my favourite memories was being able to film parts of the trip I’d normally just experience in the moment eg interacting with locals, walking streets, eating out, it’s so nice now having those memories saved properly. But also capturing unforgettable moments like adventuring on the great wall of China and views of Hong Kong.

The whole programme felt really supportive and genuinely focused on helping creatives capture meaningful experiences. I’m really grateful to have been part of it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to document their travels in a more special way.

Dexate Studios Explorer Programme

Borrowed the DJI action 5 pro from the Dexate team along with different attachments for the device such as an divecase, attachment stick, clamp, lenses. This was used for me to document footage for my travel company in Sri Lanka. And being a creative I’ve always felt a gap between my ideas and production where I always resorted to a third party for this part. Which was bridged by the Dexate studios explorer programme. Apon hand over I got a crash course on how to use the device to its max potential also got help by Dexate on how to bring my ideas into life by myself. Looking forward to working with them in the future.

I had a great experience working with them. The camera was in excellent condition and they took the time to give me a helpful walkthrough before I started using it. Communication was clear and the whole process was very easy and professional. I would definitely recommend them.
