I made a purchase for my 2-year-old son from Desertcart in Oct'24. Unfortunately, the item arrived faulty, which completely ruined the birthday surprise I had planned.
Following that, I was unexpectedly charged for a PRO membership £179 that I never subscribed to. I immediately contacted your customer service team requesting a refund, but no action was taken.
To my surprise, I have now been charged again for this same membership £179 — despite having raised the issue previously and clearly stating that I do not wish to be enrolled in any paid plan.
This experience has been extremely disappointing and feels unfair. ITS A SCAM! Don't ever deal with them. Its very sad to see how your hard earned money goes down to these fraudsters.

Exactly the same as posts here. My son 12yrs, bought one item with my card. But 30 days later more money was taken from my account. Seemingly you are automatically signed up to something after 30 days.

I just received today my parcel from desertcart and I'm happy with the service provided. Everything went good and the only downside is that the parcel arrived 5 days late. Apart of that I'm happy with desertcart service and support and I wasn't charged with a monthly fee like I see in another people comments. Overall I'm happy with desertcart service.

I bought a childs kitchen from the DESERTCART It cost €200.
Site said free delivery over €100. However, when I went to checkout, it charged me €190 to deliver, but if I took the free trial membership I would get the delivery free. I did this. I tried to cancel the membership well within the month. The site would not allow me to do this, I sent an email explaining that I could not get into the site. I requested that they cancel the membership. They did not, they sent me an email welcoming me to the site. I was furious. I replied to the email, explaining again that I had cancelled the membership and they sent another email stating in the interest of FAIRNESS that they would not be refunding me. DO NOT USE DESERTCART. There are many more reputable companies out there.

Absolute scam! I ordered an item online, only to discover a month later that €179 had been automatically charged to my account for a 'pro membership' I never knowingly signed up for. This deceptive practice is unacceptable. I spent ages emailing their support, only to be offered a €30 cash back , as they put it, to relieve financial pressure. However, I am still emailing to receive a refund.

Order has been delayed nearly a month. After much pushing they finally admitted that all items were sitting in the warehouse ready to ship except one, they didn't know when it would be back in stock. I asked them to send these and then send the out of stock item later separately. They told me I'd have to pay 20 quid for that. Even though I was a Pro member and have free shipping. Guess I should have ordered each individual item separately to avoid this problem. Eventually I told them to cancel and refund that one item and ship the rest now. They kept promising it would be shipped soon but took over a business week of contacting support multiple times daily to get them to finally ship it. I was then promised on Thursday, when it still had not yet shipped, that it would be delivered no later than today. Sunday. I told them I don't think they know how the post works, that there's no possible way it would be delivered by today. They were so confident they told me I would be compensated if it hadn't been delivered by today. No surprise, it was not delivered today, Sunday. I've just spoken to support and they will not give me any adequate compensation. They refused to budge past €10 store credit. I told them store credit is useless as compensation as I will never be ordering again, that I would like a partial refund on my order instead. They said they are unable to refund any money to my payment method used, that they are only capable of refunding in store credit. Absolute scam of a company, I cannot recommend avoiding them enough. Quite possibly the worst shopping experience I've ever had.
Just a scam
Would give 0 stars if I could. Not a legitimate site or service. Order never arrived, and when I contacted support, they told me get in touch with the courier DHL (who says they never received my order to ship). Their customer chat is also very uncomfortable, as the agent asked for a positive review, and when I didn't give one, they were immediately notified in the chat and asked me to change it.

Unethical membership process and zero customer service
I ordered a pair of boots at the end of 2023. After I ordered I got a lot of emails with order been processed, shipped. Got the boots. Then I see a pro membership fee charged. I did not know what this was about so I contacted the company as I did not ask for this. Advised it was a trial period which I did not process at time of order. I asked for an immediate refund as membership not sought willingly. Every chat was empathetic and was advised going to resolve. Going to get pro team to contact you but nothing over a year. And one year on they debit me again. Shocked beyond words. They clearly ignored everything and Bank has advised they saved my card details so be aware of this company.
They front a good service but that is not the reality.
Bed cushion?? Joke
I ordered an adult bed cushion as a present for a friend. She's semi bed bound so needs support for various things like reading and knitting. On desertcart I thought I had found the perfect item. How wrong was I? What arrived in the post was a vacuum packed childs cushion. Pink, I ordered beige. The parcel measured approx. 10inches x 6inches. When opened, the filling inside the cushion inflated up to 15ins x 10ins. My 11year old granddaughter couldn't sit it it, it was that small. The 'headrest' was attached by two strings and the 'arms' resembled two lumps of covered sponge. A most disgraceful item. I would urge extreme caution when purchasing from this site.

Zero stars. Order (€80) placed almost 2 months ago. I’ve inquired twice via chat and haven’t received a word about a status update or refund. Can only assume this is a scam company at this point. Expensive lesson. Do not recommend.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I manufacture my own jewellery and constantly see that desertcart (all sites all over the world) have harvested my listings - including desertcart.ie. They are breaching my Trademark, my copyright and my design rights. I don't even sell abroad, so any customers ordering via their website, wouldn't EVER get the products as I would never deliver it! They are therefore reported by me, every time I see one of my products on their site to Google - who take down the ability for the search engine to view the page from the search engine. Unfortunately, this doesn't stop unsuspecting customers who may see it on desertcart paying money to desertcart for any of my products - these people will never get the product.
I have complained about their breach of copyright and trademark laws direct to desertcart often- who don't reply.

I have to put one star in order to write a review otherwise I wouldn't give them any. People please I beg you don't spend any money on this desert cart. They will take money from your account for subscriptions you don't even know about. I stubbornly ordered protein products from them last year and never seen the stuff. Ontop of that they took €179 from my account as soon as I was done requesting where my purchase was. Cant get hold of customer care cause their aint non. Then I read the reviews. I so wish I had read the reviews before using the site. Up to date Desert cart has €290 of my money and I have nothing to show for it. People don't make the mistake thousands of people are making in not reading the reviews first. Almost everyone says they had €179 debited from their account for something they never knew about. The other fact is that the owner is doing fraudulent transactions across retailers in USA. From Amazon to Walmart he has scammed them all. If you don't believe me read the indictment. Very disappointed no access to my account to cancel auto renewal
Very disappointed after a good start my pro account randomly stopped working and I was told by customer support that my account didn't exist and never did! I wrote it off as a scam and was disappointed to lose short of €200.
However, after another few months went by another renewal payment went through my 'non existent account' again I was told my account didn't exist but after a few more chats I finally had someone 'find' my account including a new one they had me set up while trying to resolve the issues but I still couldn't log into it.
I did spend nearly an hour with a technician trying to log in and in fairness he was trying to resolve the issue by sending codes etc. but it didn't work and he was to call back the next day, which he did but I was working and missed the call, unfortunately he didn't try again.
I contacted customer support again after a week and requested a call back the following day, this didn't happen until two days later when I was working and was on another call and unfortunately again he hasn't called me back since. So the saga continues, I'll have to spend half an hour explaining myself to customer care....
I'm now down nearly €400 because of two renewals but I've been told I can't get a refund for any of it but yet they can't seem to rectify the account issue either so I could not recommend using their service as unfortunately it simply doesn't work!
