Before I buy anything, I always check Trustpilot to be sure the company is reliable. I could not find demural.nl (I am based in The Netherlands) on this website. However, the wallpaper samples I wanted were free of charge. I only had to pay € 8 transportation costs. I received a response from the U.K. in perfect Dutch. They helped me choose the wallpaper and sent me several digital examples how it would look in my room. After I made my choice, they sent me four samples on various substrates. An excellent service.

I was looking for Demural.es, which has it's office in Poland, but I didn't found it here, so I write my review anyway , because I suppose Demura.co.uk belongs to the same brand. So here it goes:

I ordered a painting 120x80 cm, the frame with wood was really neat, however the quality of the image was bad, not as expected, not like the published image. I wrote to the company to have a solution, but after 72 hours, no answer, so I will not recommend this company to anybody and I won't buy anything from it.

I ordered one wall size mural, and two other images. I am pleased with the print and paper quality. It took nearly a month for the items to arrive largely due to the courier being over whelmed with parcels in the system and the slow process of importing items now due to VAT charges, customs hold ups etc caused by Brexit. One thing I was not entirely happy about is that the large image was slightly over sized from what I ordered. I knew the wall was pretty good for squareness, so I just added an extra 1 or 2 cm to allow for trimming. When it arrived Demural had added another trimming margin as well. Whether this is an issue or not depends on the image. I had spent quite a long time considering how the borders of the image where going to work on the wall. I then needed to trim off a detail I had wanted on the wall, because the image was slightly over size. I understand why they do this to make sure the customer does have a trimming margin to the mural, but the website implies that the customer should add the margin for him/her self.

I am putting my review here as the Demural website only have 5* reviews due to reviews being moderated by Demural. I have purchased 3 large images from this website. As one of the images did not fit the size I needed I contacted them via email (there is no other way to contact them) and asked if the picture could be resized before I made the purchase. They sent me an email with the resized image and told me to reply and agree the size when I placed the order, which I did.

When Intecieved my preset the agreed resize picture had not been resized and therefore not what I ordered. I have tried contacting them via email but have had no reply. I tried leaving a review on their website but this is “moderated” and therefore you will not see anything except 5* reviews.

Lastly you should note that if you are in the UK you will have to pay around 20% customs duty. So after spending around £600 on these images you can understand when I am not happy not getting what I ordered and then having no communication from the company.
