All of the many details that go into a trip like this went smoothly. There were NO unexpected, unwelcome surprises. The drivers who were supposed to meet us were on time, friendly and professional. The lodgings were wonderful! The safari tour guides and trackers, and the city guides were fabulous!

Excellent pre-planning by staff, first rate guides, great meals and surprisingly comfortable accommodations and the locales for wildlife were outstanding.

We had the most amazing guides. Omg, they were incredible wildlife spotters (animals that I would never have seen on my own) and so knowledgeable about animals, birds and culture. Also the planning was perfect—seem less; not a glitch. All of our camps were terrific-great, innovative food and wonderful staff. Can’t recommend them more! Would do 10 stars if possible

A joyous safari experience
Impossible to describe in a few words the many unforgettable wildlife and bird viewing opportunities we had during our safari organized by Deeper Africa. For nature lovers, like my husband and I, it was 11 days of pure delight. We are very appreciative of Karen Zulauf and the Deeper Africa staff for their attention to detail, which resulted in a trip that was all we hoped for. We visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Eastern and Northern Serengeti. We especially enjoyed our time with our Guide, Ammy Nnko, an amazing wildlife spotter, naturalist, and wonderful traveling companion. I’m confident you couldn’t do better than going on a Deeper Africa safari with Ammy as your guide, particularly if you have an interest in birding!

We are just back from an amazing 11 day safari in Tanzania. Deeper Africa was great, beginning with Karen Zulauf who helped us decide where to go and helped design a great safari within our budget. Klaus at Deeper Africa helped us find the best flights over from Little Rock, AR USA to Kilimanjaro International airport and back. Ammy Nnko was our guide and he was outstanding. Knowledgeable and always getting us in great position to view and photograph wildlife. We covered over 800 miles in the bush with Ammy and he made it a fantastic adventure. We stayed at four different camps and each was special. The food was great. We saw all sorts of wildlife and birds including a river crossing where thousands of Wildebeest ran and swam across the Mara river. I would absolutely recommend Deeper Africa for your safari.

The camps and experiences recommended by Deeper Africa were perfect for us - Karen and team tailored our itinerary to meet our goals. Our guides, David (in Kenya) and Richard (in Uganda), were highly professional, had impressive depth of knowledge, and were thoughtful to fine-tune our daily schedules. We were well-prepared for a three-week trip that went off without any issues. We're already looking forward to our next adventure with Deeper Africa.

Deeper Africa took time and a great deal of care to understand what we wanted from our trip. Their research and understanding of the region is first rate. Our safari was beyond our expectations. Richard (Uganda) and Robert (Kenya) are extremely good at their jobs of guiding, and took care of us like family. The Deeper Africa team was with us before, during and after to make sure our trip was smooth and safe. I do not hesitate to recommend Deeper Africa to anyone planning to take a safari.

THE BEST! The team at Deeper Africa went above and beyond to give us the trip of a lifetime. Their communication was on point always. Our guide, Bernard, was the best guide we ever could have hoped for. His knowledge, expertise and kind demeanor made for a perfect trip with everything we wanted to see and learn plus more. I can't say enough good things about this company and the trip we had (Kenya). They planned everything perfectly according to our timeline and budget, and if any issue came up at all they were quick to make it right to give us the best time. I would recommend this company to anyone. 10/10!

I loved that Deeper Africa sent us a notebook full of useful information about our trip, along with a book of the animals of Tanzania to get us excited about our journey. I felt like we were informed about what to pack, what we needed document-wise, and I felt that the staff at Deeper Africa were available to help us in anyway.

The guides and accomodations were outstanding! Our tents were comfortable with beautiful furnishings,and linens, comfortable beds, and gorgeous bathrooms. Each tent had a front porch providing a lovely place to view the terrain and wildlife and to have morning coffee. The animals were amazing and as were the people of Tanzania who worked at the camps! Our guides were extremely knowledgeable, bright and entertaining! Trip of a life time.

Our main guide, Bernard, was quiet at first, but I think we broke him out of his shell just a little. He and the other guides (Isaac and James) were filled with info about every animal we saw, and any questions we had about locals and culture were always answered. There were a few changes to our itinerary that we weren’t fully aware of and causes a hiccup, but it worked out in the end. Ready for my trip back already!

Even before we left, the company, Deeper Africa, gladly helped us with all trip logistical issues, including not only arranging all travel flights, but also providing us assistance in obtaining visas and ensuring that the letters we obtained from our doctors excusing us from receiving yellow fever vaccines would be accepted in Tanzania although lacking "official seals." Once in Africa, we found the camps Deeper Africa recommended and booked for us to be above our expectations in every way. The guides we had during our one day in Nairobi and following eleven days staying in three different national parks in Tanzania all were wonderful. Each was friendly, knowledgeable, gregarious and entertaining, flexible, responsive to our requests, and intent on making our safari experience the trip of a lifetime. They succeeded in that and made our visit most memorable.

We had a wonderful time. Choice of camp venues was great - very different ecosystems. All bush flights, arranged by Deeper Africa, went smoothly. Accommodations and food over the top. Great wildlife.
Incredibly friendly camp staffs. And we were well prepared for the trip. We are happy campers.

We had the best time thanks to Deeper Africa staff and Bernard Ole Koikai. Bernard took us on the adventure of a lifetime! He was so knowledgeable about the terrain as well as the wildlife. When we go back, we will definitely have Bernard as our guide.

Mainly the animals & animal interactions we saw made the experience great, but there were also other things! Deeper Africa did well with communication about the prep and visa etc. Also good vehicles, guides, accommodations, food safety, etc.

We had a great trip to Kenya organized by the wonderful team at Deeper Africa. Everything was very organized and we greatly appreciated the excellent guidance of David our travel guide who was informative friendly and knowledgeable.

From the first airport pickup to the last drop off everything was so well planned & went very smoothly. The itinerary was a perfect fit & Albert & Bernard are the absolute best local guides you could wish for. Super dependable, knowledgeable & fun to be with. They rounded out our small group of 4 to a really fun group of 5.
