Pilates classes, 1 - 1, group classes and online. I feel exercise is essential to achieve a balanced life. It is finding that balance that is key. I am qualified to teach cancer rehabilitation, osteoporosis, arthritis and many more ailments. Pilates is a great way to keep the body moving. Modifications are available for each exercise meaning Pilates is for everybody.

Dawn thinks of every detail. She keeps you informed, via WhatsApp and Facebook and puts helpful short videos of some of the exercises up. She's super responsive and professional in the extreme. I felt better even after the first class and she even personalised some exercises to my specific needs. She's a lovely person and was very helpful and flexible when I couldn't make a class.

I have done Pilates for many years now and I have had some great instructors. Dawn is right up there with the best of them. She pitches her classes carefully to suit all levels of experience and ability; she pays close attention to everyone in the class to make sure they are getting the best out of the exercises and not at risk of hurting themselves; she builds up exercises over time, starting with the most simple components and working up in terms of difficulty, flexibility and intensity; she introduces new exercises each term to keep things fresh as well as using Pilates equipment such as rings and balls to ring the changes. Finally, Dawn's sessions are about mind as much as body - I really enjoy them!

Dawn has been running my usual pilates class for the last few months and it's been awesome. I've enjoyed pilates since starting it a few years ago, knew it was good for me and saw some benefits to my body.
I've felt those benefit have really progressed at pace in the last few months of Dawn's classes. My movement is better, my posture has improved and I'm starting to get a bit of a bum!
The amount of pilates Dawn knows and uses makes the classes enjoyable and the time flies by. Dawn tailors the moves to the level of the class and gives individual, direct feedback, where technique can be improved. This close level of support really worked for me.

I've wanted to try Pilates for years but never quite got around to joining a class - I felt too intimidated I guess, what if I wasn't strong enough or flexible enough, what if I was too overweight, how embarrassed would I be if I couldn't do it. I recently moved to Gateshead and came across Dawn on social media - I liked her approach to sharing tips and advice and that she said that Pilates could be for everyone, I then found myself trying out her free videos. By chance she started temporarily covering a Pilates class at my local gym, and so I signed up for my first session. I was so nervous beforehand but Dawn was so lovely and reassuring that I soon relaxed. She explains everything so well, giving different options for every exercise so that people can work to their own ability and she offers advice on how to adjust positions so you get the most from the class. She even gave me alterative exercises so I could initially manage with a hand recovering from surgery. The relaxation part at the end is so lovely, I leave feeling like I haven't a care in the world. After a small number of weeks, I already feel a little stronger and my posture has improved so much. I've loved the classes so much that I'm going to sign up for Dawn's own classes and stay on my Pilates journey. Thank you Dawn.

I was very nervous about starting Pilates as had never tried it before and a friend recommended Dawn. I cannot praise Dawn enough she gives varied options to suit my ability but encourages you. There no pressure and class seem to fly over .
Would totally recommend!!

Dawn thank you in September I signed up for sessions on a Sunday and Wednesday.
I now find myself more supple and looking forward to every one of your sessions. Your direction and advice caters for people with all abilities. This has allowed me work within my limitations to achieve more than I thought possible. I can assure you I will continue to sign up with your sessions.

I’ve been doing Dawn’s classes for a couple of years now and find they have massively helped with my posture and overall back health. Doing a physical job, I used to constantly have a bad back, but since doing Pilates I haven’t suffered with back trouble at all. The classes are very well planned out and structured and there are always several levels to work towards depending on capability. Dawn is an amazing instructor and always there to keep and eye on us and correct is if we aren’t doing something the right way or offering us alternatives if we can’t do the exercises. Classes are enjoyable and I love the relaxation/breathing techniques at the end. Would highly recommend.

Dawn is an experienced and excellent Pilates instructor who ensures our classes are ran according to each individual needs.

Nice welcome from the instructor. Instructions for the Pilates positions was clear and easy to understand, and delivered with a touch of humour i.e ‘imagine zipping up your jeans’ to pull your core muscles in further to activate them.
Felt the class went at a good pace and didn’t feel overwhelmed by any thing that was taught, so felt like I could build upon it in the weeks to come.
Also liked the fact that the class started on time.

Myself and my husband have been attending Dawn's classes for around 4 years.
We've recently returned from a skiing holiday and both agree that pilates has kept us on our feet this holiday through our improved core and balance. Our core strength definitely prevented several falls over the course of the week! There's so many benefits to pilates, this being one that we hadn't considered until skiing again post-covid.
