Ordered my dress off of David bridal's…
Ordered my dress off of David bridal's website. Was told that it would be delivered September 11th too much excitement my shipment came early. The excitement was quickly ruined when I opened my package to find that somebody else's dress had been shipped to me. It had their name on the dress, it was the wrong color and the wrong size. I called my local David's bridal store where I had originally tried on the dress and they have yet to give me a call back to try to assist me in finding a remedy for the situation. I tried chatting with the mobile app that was suggested to me to avoid hold times just to send it several messages with no response. I called customer service and spoke to somebody, they told me that they would get my dress shipped me second day air as soon as their email was responded to from fulfillment. I got a call back 4 days later letting me know that I cannot have the dress that I ordered they cannot get me a replacement and that I can be refunded for the order and have the option to find a different dress (one that will not match the rest of the bridal party) and if it is in stock to be shipped to me directly I can have that as an alternative. The customer service rep then suggested to me a sheer dress that looked absolutely nothing like the dress I originally ordered in satin. After searching on my own I found a very similar dress that could be offered in the same material and requested to order that one and was told that no it is not in stock despite it literally sitting in my shopping cart online saying that there were five available. After being put on hold I was then brought back online and told that I could just order the one I found online and they would give me a 20% off discount. At this point I have provided David's bridal money for two dresses, shipped them back the dress they sent me an error and have no dress to wear to the wedding. At this point I have a very little faith that I will get the 2nd dress I ordered, or that the dress that will be shipped to me is correct. I honestly could not be more disappointed about this experience. I highly recommend going to any other bridal business.
David’s Bridal: Where “Customer Service” Is More of a Suggestion
We live several hours from the nearest David’s Bridal, so when we made the trip for our scheduled Mother of the Groom and bridesmaid appointments, I assumed having appointments meant someone might actually be prepared to help us.
Adorable assumption.
The person assigned to us was neither knowledgeable nor helpful, and “friendly” would be an ambitious description. Mostly, we seemed to be interrupting her day by having the audacity to show up for the appointments we had scheduled and ask for assistance.
So, we left and eventually ordered the bridesmaid dress online. As I clicked “Place Order,” I remember thinking, Well, surely the online experience can’t be worse than the in-store experience.
David’s Bridal: “Hold my bouquet.”
For days, the order didn’t even appear in my account. Had they received it? Was it processing? Had I hallucinated the entire transaction? Who knew!
After spending an impressive amount of time on hold with customer service, I became intimately familiar with a mysterious place known only as “the fulfillment center.” Unfortunately, the fulfillment center was either not open yet, needed to be contacted, or apparently existed in a dimension inaccessible to both customers and customer service representatives.
Eventually, someone confirmed that yes, I did, in fact, have an order. Great news!
Then the expected delivery date came and went.
Since the order still wasn’t visible in my account, I had no way to tell whether the dress was delayed, back-ordered, shipped, lost, or enjoying a nice vacation somewhere. So back I went onto the Customer Service/Fulfillment Center Carousel. Round and round we went.
Finally, I was advised that, “just to be safe,” I should order ANOTHER dress because that one was showing an on-time delivery date. No worries, they said. If the first one arrives, “you can just return it.”
What a wonderfully simple solution!
One tiny detail somehow failed to make it into that helpful advice: David’s Bridal charges a restocking fee on the return.
So their solution to their inability to tell me where the dress I had already purchased was located was for me to purchase a second dress from them. And then pay them a fee to return the extra dress they advised me to buy.
Pretty impressive, I'd say.
In the end, both dresses arrived. Later than expected, but thankfully in time for alterations and the wedding. So the crisis was averted. I’m only out the completely unnecessary, and conveniently unmentioned, restocking fee.
But I did receive something even more valuable from this experience: absolute clarity.
We have several weddings coming up in the next few years, and I can say with complete confidence that David’s Bridal will not be involved in a single one of them.
Never. Never. Never.
To anyone considering this route for an upcoming wedding: I wish you a beautiful wedding, a happy marriage, and the very best of luck.
Especially with the fulfillment center.
My daughter had an appointment
My daughter had an appointment. We picked out a few dresses to try on. The girl only brought out the most expensive dresses. I asked for the others dresses for her to try on. She brought it out but I could see a change in her demeanor. She wasn’t encouraging her in any way . She also brought a full priced veil out. Another attendant gave us the actual veil that went with the dress and it was on clearance. I could tell at that point that she was upset because we didnn’t purchase the 3,600 dress but bought the one that was 2,600 instead. When we went to check out she never said thank or nothing to us and passed us into another girl. The total with dress, shoes and the veil came to $3,400. We were then booked for a fitting and showed up. We were never told it would cost another 499,00 to be fitted. When we went to pick up the dress the girl that sold it to us never even acknowledged us. Nobody wished her the best. It was a very bad experience that my daughter had to experience. Very poor management.
Received previously altered returned…
Received previously altered returned dress, too close to the wedding to reorder.
My “custom in store order” arrived fitting completely differently in the bust than the dress I tried on in the same size and style in store. I took it to my tailor assuming I had made a mistake, and she showed me it was previously altered. Padding inside the bust was cut and fabric was removed. Of course after waiting months for the dress to arrive the first time it’s way too late to exchange, so if I want my money back I’ll have to sue in small claims court for the dress cost + the $185 I spent on tailoring just to still have a dress that doesn’t fit.
Do not shop here unless it is 6+ months before the wedding and you have time to fight them about a return and wait for another order!!!
I was looking for a dress high and low…
I was looking for a dress high and low decided to go to David bridal I was greeted by this lady I can’t remember her name she was amazing she help me out so much and I ended up leaving with a dress and I’m a big girl she was patient with me and if you see this I truly thank you so much 😘😘😘😘

Where to start…this ungodly company in Ottawa went downhill, 700$ in alterations?? One minor let out in wedding dress and two shoulder pinches?
2ladies attended us, a third who had an iPad , all 3 had different prices, dates delivered and dress readiness?? I mean what do they take us for idiots!? Every little questions I asked there was a price tag on it!! My god you people are aweful! Never ever again and absolutely no recommendations.
It's a scam !!! Stay away from it !!!
It's a scam !!!
There is a full procedure about how to return a dress, but in reality, it is simply impossible ...
I should have red the other reviews on beforehand.
Apparently, I'm not the only one.
SHAME ON YOU ....
Everyone in the store was beyond helpful
Everyone in the store went out of their way to be helpful. I was looking for 3 different items and when they couldn’t find two of the items in their store they reached out to try to track them down. I was in the Ottawa store at Trainyards and I just want to note that Lisa was exceptional. She really knows the products, made great suggestions and was very customer-oriented.
Extremely disappointing online ordering experience.
I placed an order on August 10 for earrings for my September 2 wedding. They were supposed to arrive by August 21, yet as of August 20 the order still says “preparing your order,” has no tracking information, and has never shipped. This is a time-sensitive bridal purchase, and leaving a bride waiting this close to her wedding with no shipment or meaningful update is unacceptable. I now have to spend additional time trying to get a refund and find replacement earrings at the last minute. I would not recommend ordering time-sensitive wedding accessories from David’s Bridal online.
Shoe carnival for dresses!!
went yesterday. Very unhelpful staff. I went to look at dresses for my wedding and it was HORRIBLE! From the lady who was supposed to be helping me to the sizing. I told the lady my side and she would bring me a size 8 or a size 22 (I’m a size 14). The lady would disappear when I put on dresses and needed help zipped or clipped my bridesmaids were helping me hold up the dresses. The lady told me to put the dresses I was taking off into a pile on the floor in the tiny changing room. After the third dress there was no room to even change so I was hanging them up and my bridesmaids were taking the dresses to put back. I asked for a dress I really wanted to try on & the lady gave a size 22 in the dress in a pink color not even white & when I asked for my size the lady tells me we can order it and if I don’t like it I can exchange the dress for a different one. Uhm no. I want to see it before I buy it. I asked for a similar dress style and the lady handed me the iPad she was gripping the whole time to look on the website instead of having suggestions. My bridesmaids were running to pull dresses for me to try on. The staff was SOOOOO useless! I asked if they had a dress in all white and the lady went on her tablet to check…she couldn’t even zip or clip my dresses with the chip clips they use, because her nails were to long and tells me “ugh I need to get shorter nails for the job”. Then she disappears for five minutes. I ended up leaving early. She never had dresses I told her I wanted to try on ready, they told us to take pictures of tags of dresses and this lady tells us to grab them because she doesn’t know where the dresses are. Like okay do you even work here?
Horrible experience. Went to One Fine Day and they were sooooo wonderful. Actually had mirrors in the dressing room with actual room to move. The lady at one fine day would actually zip me up before AND after and helped me switch dresses and made suggestions which i actually bought the dress she suggested! I have no idea I’ve never done this but they do this everyday for a job so I thought they would be more helpful? Maybe I’m crazy for thinking that?
My bridesmaids said the chair she was sitting on was wet 🥴
The first 15 minutes we were trying to find the lady who was supposed to be helping me. It felt like more of a game of hide and seek with the staff.

Very Disappointed Customer
⭐️ 1 STAR — EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH DAVID’S BRIDAL
I am beyond upset and disappointed with my purchase from David’s Bridal. What I chose online looked NOTHING like what I received. The quality is extremely cheap and honestly feels like something you could find at Dollar Tree. This is NOT the quality I remember from David’s Bridal back in the day.
I am embarrassed that I even have to wear this. The material, overall quality, and appearance are nowhere near what I expected from a bridal company with David’s Bridal’s reputation. I would have never purchased this if I had seen the actual quality in person beforehand.
What makes this even more frustrating is that because the item was on sale, it is non-refundable, so I am stuck with something I am extremely unhappy with and do not feel comfortable wearing.
David’s Bridal has seriously gone downhill. I expected much better quality and was completely let down. I will NEVER order from David’s Bridal again, and I would strongly encourage others to think twice before purchasing—especially final-sale.
Horrible Customer Service
I ordered four ties and pocket squares. The website told me they were in stock and I would receive them in four business days. That was back on July 11. My wedding was August 1st. I have received half my order. The other half is showing that it’s “still processing.” it is now August 11. It has been one month and I’m still missing two of the four sets that I ordered. I tried the online Help. They said that a “dream maker” would call me . I did that twice , NEVER received a phone call. So then I went to one of their stores. The employee who greeted me first asked me if I was a door dasher with her food order. LOL . I gave her my online order number just to be told that they have no way of seeing my order because it was made online. I’m sorry, but the year is 2026 and the technology is there! There is no excuse. David’s bridal you really need to step your game up. I have a very hard time believing that you don’t have the capability to make your online orders viewable in-store? I can’t even cancel this order because I’ve tried so many times through phone/ in person and I have not gotten any kind of help or response. Nothing has been done. Worst customer service experience I have had in a very long time. It’s honestly a joke and I can see now why my wife wouldn’t even attempt to buy a dress from David’s Bridal.
Dress ordered not going to be delivered…
Dress ordered not going to be delivered before wedding therefore was canceled. Used check debit card. Waiting 3months for a return???? Crazy. Manager unable to help. Called customer service and they are not able to help. Customer service manager called corporate office and she was on hold for an hour. She could not tell me if they have sent check out or not. Horrible customer service. Restocking fee is charged also for a dress not available on time. Report on better business next.
Buyer beware!!
Buyer beware!!! I went to the store in Burlington MA. It's called Diamonds & Pearls by David's Bridal. Apparently the 'higher end' of David's Bridal.
I tried on a dress and liked it. But I wasn't sure and they didn't have my size, so I ordered it online later that week. When it came, it didn't fit. So I brought it back to the store (to avoid the return charges!).
"Sorry ma'am but because you bought the dress online, you cannot return it to this store". The salesperson was apologetic and said that this happens all the time. Of course there is nothing on the website (that I could find) that states this.
So I called their customer service help line. I waited on hold for 2 hours. I requested a call back after that because I couldn't wait on hold any longer. I never heard from them. I called again the next day, in the morning. On hold for over an hour. Requested another call back. I finally got a call back at 9:30 at night. The agent was somewhat helpful but I still had to pay for the return, despite trying to return the dress to the store. In addition, I also tried to 'live chat' with someone, but never heard back. The live chat is clearly automated, and I received a text 10 days later!
David's Bridal has dresses that are nothing more than ok. However, their awful, unprofessional customer service drags their company down into the gutter. I would never recommend buying anything from them.
NEVER order anything from David’s Bridal
I ordered a dress that was on sale June 25-over a month ago. The shipping was express courier air. The estimated delivery was July 7.
I was excited because it was a great price and the timing gave me enough time for alterations if needed before my sons’ wedding.
I received confirmation and the order number through Shopify.
I noticed by June 2 that the order was still saying it was placed but not preparing or shipped yet.
I emailed Davids Bridal to enquire about this, July 2, July 6, Got an automated reply saying it would be replied to in 5 business days. Nothing.
I tried the chat and calling but was sent in circles because the order number given was 6 digits and apparently it should be 10, even though the Shopify number given was the same as when I signed in to David’s Bridal online.
I emailed again July 18 and July 26. No response.
So I sent an email through Shopify under problem with this order.
I finally get a response on July 28th.
Another automated type reply saying sorry the dress I ordered is no longer available but I wasn’t charged so hers a coupon for your next order.
I WAS CHARGED!!!
The charge went through June 30 to my card.
Interesting they made sure they got the $ but couldn’t send the merchandise.
I tried emailing again and it was rejected. I emailed Kelly Cook, Gary Schwartz , and James Marcum.
Rejected.
I now have to go through the process of getting my money back through my credit card company.
I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.
This is completely unacceptable.
Not to mention I had to find another dress with a small timeline for the wedding.
I don’t understand how they can charge for a dress AND express courier air shipping within 5 days of the order ( not a pending charge a completed one)and yet not have the item and ship it.
The response about me not being charged blew my mind!
I’m appalled at the lack of care and customer service from David’s Bridal.
I will warn anyone and everyone ( I have 6 kids and 3 bonus grown children so many weddings in the near future) to NEVER order or deal with David’s Bridal.
I visited the Plymouth Meeting
I visited the Plymouth Meeting, PA location for my wedding dress selection, and I had a very positive experience overall. One staff member was especially helpful and patient in assisting me compared with others.
I am petite, and the dress I loved was a mermaid style, so I had some doubts even up until the day before my wedding. However, the seamstress at the location, who pinned the dress for me, did an excellent job. The alterations turned out beautifully. Although the person who completed the tailoring was not the most amicable, her work was truly commendable.
I can confidently say that much of a dress’s beauty and fit comes from the hands of a skilled seamstress. I want to thank the entire team for helping make my wedding day so pleasant. Everyone appreciated the final look and told me I looked stunning!
Anyone here from Christophe's video?
Impossible to Return
Ordered a dress as a wedding guest (~$200), which did not fit and I want to return it (it's only been 10 days since I received it so it's eligible; and it's not on clearance or final sale). On the My Order page there is no place to begin a return. Called 2 different numbers, on hold forever...tried to txt, also non-responsive. Tried "Hold for a call back", no call back. Drove 30min to nearest David's Bridal, only to be informed their system was down and they couldn't assist. This is a FRAUDULENT company.
BUYER BEWARE
BUYER BEWARE! Why is it so difficult to get a return going for a purchase made online at @davidsbridal
#davidsbridal? I have spent two weeks calling, leaving messages, X, Facebook, you name it, I have tried. Even the numbers they post for headquarters don't work. SHOPPER BEWARE - you may have a different experience in-store, but not if you purchase online.
