Organising the repairs was a painful experience…
Organising the repairs was a painful process with many delays and confusion, taking several weeks and many phone calls to resolve. I eventually found out that a BMW dealer had been instructed to carry out the work, but they had closed down in 2025. Dave, the engineer who was finally sent to check the unit, was very efficient and friendly. He obtained authorisation on the day to install a new replacement unit.

Honest review
Fast, easy and straight forward set up. Only couple issues had a error where it wouldn't recognise my password but sorted and now works fine. And as a subscription based format It would be nice to have the sms reminders included in the subscription rather than having to top them up. But happy with the service I was given and received.

Easy to transfer
had a bike with a Datatool tracker, purchased a new bike with one fitted. Datatool made it really easy to transfer subscription between bikes in one call

Not sure what i am supposed to comment on i have had tracker fitted and been online it says i am covered for five years then i get a text saying i have 24 messages left

Good afternoon,
After reviewing your case, the SMS you received was an Early Warning Message (EWM), which triggers whenever there is consistent movement on the vehicle. You get 25 free EWM messages, and they are each refunded after 28 days of use.
I hope this has cleared up any confusion you may have had.

Battery Free Bike
Following the theft of another bike I decided to 'up the game' and had a Datatool Stealth 5 fitted. The fitment was quick, almost as quick as the tracker drained the battery. A constant trickle charge was impossible as the bike is kept outside - hence the need for security. It may sound daft but I didn't notice that the battery was discharging so rapidly and completely - I was working away and the battery was twelve years old (used bike). Brand new Motobatt and it was going flat; brand new Shido Li-On and it went flat. £155 was quoted to check the tracker and remove it. I did it myself in ten minutes (not testing it) and guess what, no battery drain. Very poor after sales service from Trackershop and Datatool Technical Support so a waste of £100s but at least I have a bike I can ride and no longer have automated phone calls to tell me about power loss to the tracker.

I am not sure whether I’d ever change to an alternative service and product as they do job properly.
