Fraudulent marketing

Shocking - they advertise buying a 2 year subscription saving £81 - its actually £19!
They claim its a web issue and to be changed - feels like fraudulent selling to me

Absolutely amazing service.

This review isn't just about the service I received today in regards to a tracker being swapped on my bike but also about the customer service every time I call this company has really gone above and beyond. I have changed my appointment a good few times and every single time they have been patient with me and very understanding also going well out of their way to help me with the situation when they didn't need to in regards to my battery, the fact that they offered to get a tech on the phone to talk me through it was absolutely amazing. Customer service like that is just hard to come by. I really feel awful saying this. I can't remember the lady's name I spoke to but I spoke to the same lady every single time on the phone and she has been amazing. Absolutely wonderful. It's nice to talk to the same person so you're not having to explain yourself over and over again. I have nothing bad to say about this company. The tracker is absolutely amazing The customer service is some of the best I've come across in a very long time. They have endless patience, especially if you have additional needs and forget things a lot. They are very understanding on the phone. Highly recommend this company they are disability aware understanding and always happy to hear from you. Well done on such amazing customer service and thank you Derek for sorting my bike out! (I hope that's his name!) Lol

Scorpion with a real sting in the tail.

An absolutely shocking experience over a considerable period of time that was totally avoidable and in which Scorpion Datatool displayed a level of incompetence that was mind-boggling.
All I wished to do was renew my contracts on a Motorcycle and purchase a S5+ unit with a lifetime contract for my car. Utter confusion with telephone calls going backwards and forwards, fitters failing to attend install appointments, car franchise people calling me to say fitters had not arrived, wrong vehicles being allocated to the tracking devices and repeated calls from 'Subscriptions' for fees that had already been paid.
For an alleged security Company I have never felt so unsafe in my lifetime.
No sooner than I had put the telephone down to Scorpion they would call me back oblivious to the conversation that I just had telling me of yet another inconveniencing sting in the tail.

Wouldn’t recommend

App isn’t great and wouldn’t let me change mobile number I. The alerts section. Sold bike 6 months after signing up and wouldn’t refund the remaining 6 months. All communication was via email and no terms and conditions were sent however I supposedly accepted them.

Disappointed

For the first year was working fine and till now none stop problems with the tracker not updating my tracker was down for 5 days and they said they would compensate me for the days its been down. Honestly disappointed that yamaha use this company.
I'm going back to my old tracker i had.

Lack of installers No problems with the actual tracker

No problems with the actual tracker, it is very good.
However if you live West of Swansea in Wales find an alternative as after sales is very very poor. Datatool do not have any installers West of Swansea, my tracker has needed replacing since the beginning of April & will finally be done on 21/06/25. I could have easily fitted it myself but it would invalidate the warranty. Come on Datatool I suggest in circumstances like this you be allowed to fit yourself or find people who can do it in the more remote parts of the UK.

Short and sweet

Short and sweet, had a datatool alarm s4 fail on me, the alarm was on a second hand bike i purchased so i really cant say who fitted the unit.
Rang datatool and spoke with Tony one of the engineers, i relayed all the info i could and Tony got the part sent out to me which brought my dead bike back to life. These guys cant be anymore helpful. Thankyou!

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Tracker!

Absolute absurd. My bike was transported in a van, and the tracker failed to update its location for nine hours. In that time, it could’ve been halfway across Europe! When I contacted support, I was told the tracker doesn’t get GPS signal inside vehicles—seriously? If my 235kg bike were stolen, do they expect the thief to carry it by hand?!

And that’s just one issue. About a month ago, the tracker completely stopped working—after calling support, they admitted they had to switch servers, leaving my bike unprotected for 15 hours. Then, my subscription randomly expired, despite having direct debit set up correctly. Another call to support got it fixed, but yet again, my bike was unprotected for another 10 hours.

All of this happened within just four months. Super disappointed. I’ve canceled my subscription, removed the tracker, and switched to a different company.

Oh, and let’s not forget—support also told me I needed a new fob because mine was “damaged.” Paid £50 or £70 for it, and for what? The tracker is absolute rubbish.

Do yourself a favour —stay away from this unreliable service.

New user Transfer

Recently purchased this Motorbike and found it had a tracker fitted.
I reached out to Datatool via their website and received a fantastic response almost immediately.
Clear and comprehensive instructions followed allowing me to set up the system with ease.

I see data tool like to remove bad…

I see data tool like to remove bad reviews so I will repost.

Brand new CBR600rr and I’m going onto the 3rd battery because of this shocking tracking system.
I paid £400 for this tracker and pay a monthly subscription for it to cause me nothing but problems. If my bike was to be stolen my insurance would be void because the tracker wouldn’t even work because the battery is dead!!

When contacted data tool they just deny that it’s the tracker even though there is other post below with the same problem. (And that’s just the ones they havnt deleted)

When I said I want my subscription ending and the tracker removing from my bike they said they would send an engineer but I would have to pay for it.

So all in all with the tracker, subscription, and battery’s, this has cost me around £650 for something that doesn’t even work.
In winter I start my bikes every week for 15 minutes to charge them over, and it still Manages to kill the battery’s.

Custom service didn’t even reply after I told them Honda have already admitted it will be the tracker draining the battery, apparently it’s quite common.

I'm afraid it's 1 star from me

I'm afraid it's 1 star from me. The tracker costing £350 failed after 9 months leaving my bike unprotected. I was away at the time of the failure and received no alert from Datatool. The battery was drained and couldn't be revived, so had to purchase a new one. Got a new tracker from Datatool who promised they would pay for the new battery, but 2 months on I'm still waiting for the elusive payment. Contacted their ironically named customer service (customer.excellence at scorpionauto.com) on several occasions, as well as the managing director Mark Downing but to no avail. Customer satisfaction and retention is obviously not high on Scorpion Automotive’s list of priorities and instead they choose to ghost their customers instead of sticking to their promises. And not sure who looks after their Trustpilot account but responses to customer reviews and concerns are thin on the ground, which demonstrates a certain arrogance and lack of professionalism. I would ask myself whether this company is my best option to protect my valuable vehicle…

I have reviewed your account and can see that you first reported an issue with the tracker on the11th October. A draw check was completed by the garage on the 16th October and it was confirmed that there was a fault on the tracker. You were contacted on the 18th October to arrange for the unit to be replaced free of charge under our warranty. This replacement was completed on the 8th November.
As it was evident that the tracker had created excessive drain on your bike battery we agreed to refund the replacement battery you had purchased. I have checked with our accounts team and they have confirmed that this payment has been issued to the account details you provided. Your review suggests that you have not received this payment. If this is the case can you please contact me at customer.excellence@scorpionauto.com so we can investigate further.
We take customer satisfaction very seriously, and I am sorry we did not meet your expectations on this occasion.

Outstanding customer service

People are very quick to complain about things but not so quick to give a positive feedback so I am giving a positive in a massive way
Had a problem with activation but I have to say the customer service that I have received from a lovely lady called helen longthorne was outstanding she spent the time helping me activate a new subscription and nothing was to much hassle for Helen to sort out this lady is a credit to your company keep up the excellent service

These trackers are useless

If the bikes parked up for more than 3-4 days without starting it, it will completely drain and destroy your gel battery. Then when the battery is dead the tracker no longer works. I removed mine with a pair of snips and electrical tape. Had to buy a new battery. If you are looking to buy a bike with one of these fitted be prepared for the bike to live on a trickle charger! Had one fitted to a brand new cbr650r and had nothing but problems.

Do not buy

Got this unit with deal from Honda uk, for the first year it was fine then all of a sudden it stopped working! Took the bike back to a main Honda dealership and it took 3 weeks between Honda & Datatool to sort it out, fault on the unit & it also killed my battery that I had to pay for🤬 all was ok for a couple of months then same again, phoned Datatool & again fitted a new unit. 3 time in total I've had new units this last one was a 4G with extra Ariel but it's been nothing but a nightmare, after moaning for months of phone calls I've now been told theres nothing they can do and tried to put the blame on Vodaphone! Whom they use for the 4g tracker. The experience with Datatool has been shocking and I advise you not to buy like others have also said it's fitted in a poor place just under the back seat & can be ripped out in seconds I also reported this & Datatool just didn't seem interested & if you read the small print of your insurance & the unit isn't working correctly at the time of theft then your insurance is void. I give this product -⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ not even sure if it saves you anything on insurance but I would rather pay the extra bit on the insurance than pay these robbing 🤬
