It was the first time I had used Darklight. I'm a professional interior designer (ivy Thomas interiors) and good lighting is a huge part of my job. I needed a specialist recessed track light and I needed the sales team to help me build the right product for the project I was working on. The team were super helpful, very friendly and when the item arrived and one part was incorrect the team spotted the mistake straight away and sent me the correct part the next day! I bought a very special and expensive designer pendant lamp from Darklight Design, one of only a few retailers for Davide Groppi lights in the UK.

This was my second attempt to buy this particular lamp - the first try ended with a refund from a different retailer when the lamp arrived faulty and after weeks of enduring backwards and forwards between the retailer and Davide Groppi.

After placing my order on Darklight Design’s website Hanna from the Sales team sent an email to personally confirm my order and advised on delivery timelines and that nothing would happen in August in Italy. This I thought was a nice touch, made me feel much more comfortable after spending quite a large amount (again!) considering my previous experience.

Months later my lamp arrived and was sent on instantly. On opening the box we discovered that the Italians had not packed the specific driver / transformer, despite it being noted on the dispatch note - quality control at Davide Groppi is a whole different matter and another review.

Raised this issue with Darklight Design, who of course informed their supplier. But they also immediately dispatched a matching driver so that we wouldn’t have to wait through their conversation with Davide Groppi. It’s very rare to experience such swift and excellent support and people thinking on their feet (and not dragging them)!

Amazing and pragmatic customer service, responsive and knowledgeable! Hanna is a star! I’m already browsing for my next project.

I was hesitant to order several Vibia light fixtures from a company located in Great Britain, but the entire experience from ordering and constant email follow-up has been wonderful. The customer service is amazing (thanks Jack!) and entire team is very responsive. I have purchased items twice now and would not hesitate to purchase from them again. I highly recommend using Darklight Design if you want quality fixtures at a much more reasonable price than in the US.

Seb and Jack at Darklight were so helpful and provided a great service in supplying floor lights for us. These were very hard to source in the UK and they ordered them directly from the manufacturer in Italy (Rotaliana) and had them shipped and delivered to us in less than 3 weeks.
