Daniel Johnson's Showreels from Scratch Anmeldelser

Daniel is fantastic from start to finish. He listened to everything I asked for and the final product was great and looks so professional. He makes you feel totally comfortable whilst filming and makes sure you are 100% happy with the filming before you leave, I can't wait to shoot some more scenes for my show reel with Dan!

Daniel provides an excellent service for any actor looking for a professional Showreel. He tailors the content to suit the individual's needs by providing bespoke scenes. On set he is professional, friendly, and works with you to ensure you perform at your best. I would definitely recommend!

After graduating university with a degree in acting, I decided to film myself a showreel. After weeks of searching I came across Daniel Johnson. Daniel Johnson is a professional cameraman, director and writer anyone would have the pleasure to work with. When lockdown happened last year, we could not film since last year but managed to find a date April to film the showreel. The actors he brought to the set were a pleasure to work with and I really felt we work together as a team. With the scripts he wrote for the showreel, I felt these characters were the archetypes that I would love to play in future films. highly recommend Daniel Johnson to anyone looking for a showreel.

Daniels reels create exactly what’s needed for an actor to make an impact on their career. The reel is tailored to you and your strengths as an actor. The scenes are always engaging whether it’s comedy or drama or a good mix the reel stays engaging. Casting directors love them, I know that for a fact. Dan creates a safe work zone which sets you up to let the creative juices flow. Most of all filming with Daniel is fun! Need a reel? What you waiting for? Email Dan now.

I've filmed with Daniel on multiple occasions now and it's always been an absolute blast. He makes the experience such a relaxed environment that any nerves you had before shooting seem to melt away. He has plenty of ideas to help guide your performance if you're stuck but is similarly welcome to you playing around with things. He's very generous in both his time and energy in capturing something you're both happy with.

Daniel was brilliant from the moment I reached out to him. Quick to respond to emails and although our initial consultation was through zoom, he took the time to really get to know me, what I wanted/what would suit me and giving me details about the whole process.

Filming was pushed back a few months due to lockdown and restrictions but I was quick to get rebooked as soon as we got the go ahead! When filming day arrived Dan couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating to me and my dad (who came along for the journey).

The whole process was so much fun and I’m elated still at the final result. My showreel is brilliant and I couldn’t be happier with the experience!

Thanks Dan! : )

I have worked with Dan on many occasions now. He is dedicated, talented and very professional. He takes the time to get to know you and creates scripts that are personal and engaging. He captures your talent and showcases the best of you. He is very approachable and makes the whole experience very enjoyable!

Daniel is always great to work with. Very relaxed shoot, and directs to get the best out of the actors. He is a very experienced showreel director, and has very good advice, plus he is a lovely bloke. Would highly recommend. Edit: He also makes a mean coffee.

Dan is a truly fantastic and hugely experienced director, writer, filmmaker and provider of showreels. He creates showreels which focus on the ACTOR and their strengths, showing people off at their best to agents, casting directors and employers.

Too many showreel companies get bogged down with extraneous matters, such as period scenes or making the reel look like a big-budget film, whilst at the same time neglecting what really matters...how the actor comes across to employers.

With Dan, you get a script tailored to your strengths, a suitable location, a trusted and experienced scene partner and some superb direction. Shoots are professional, but also fun and relaxed, enabling actors to give their best performance.

An absolutely first-class service.

I initially had my showreel done with Daniel after a recommendation from a friend, that was years ago now and every time I need a refresh I go to him again. His scripts are brilliant - he tailors them to you and your casting. His writing is contemporary and fresh, and he has a great sense of humour. He is professional on set and always put you at ease, allowing you to produce your best work. After having my first showreel done with Daniel, almost straight away I was cast from it by the Director for a short film and also asked to self tape by another Casting Director. Since then I've had positive comments from Directors and Casting Directors, and it's definitely helping get me seen.

The best writer and director of Showreel scenes. Daniel writes brilliant original dramatic scripts. Each of the scenes written for me brought out a different facet of my casting. What truly makes Dan the best is his directing of the scenes. He knows how to get the best out of the actors in an organic way by really delving into the characters and considering motivations. Before I had my Showreel with Dan I was getting barely any auditions, but after getting the Showreel my number of auditions shot up.

Dan is absolutely the guy to go to for your personalised showreel. Scenes written to fit your types and filmed with professional actors. What more could you ask for? Coffee?... you can have one of those too

Don’t waste your time searching around for others, this is the service you need. 100 percent recommended.

The whole process with Dan was fantastic, he listened to what I was after and we had a great discussion on my casting type and how this showreel could best reflect that. He then wrote and sent multiple scripts to me to see what I prefered. He made the film set a great atmosphere to be a part of, and was very constructive with his directions and feedback on my performance. He was speedy with his edit and I was thrilled with the end product.

Daniel is brilliant. I am still booking jobs thanks to his brilliant reels. Each one is individually tailored to my casting, and I had the most relaxed time filming with him. The reel was sent back to me fully edited within a week, and easily uploaded to my Spotlight. Couldn't reccomend him enough!!

It was really great to work with Daniel. The script he wrote was perfect for me and he was very open to including all my suggestions. The filming itself was a great experience, he made sure I felt at ease and was very supportive and helpful throughout the whole process. I would strongly recommend working with him.

I filmed my showreel with Dan and was extremely happy with the result. He was perfect from start to finish - The initial chat is a great way of finding out the vision you have in mind for your reel and Dan tries his best to create exactly that, giving guidance and advice along the way. I wasn’t 100% on one of the scripts he wrote for me, so he wrote another. The actual shoot day was very smooth and Dan is excellent at making you feel welcome and relaxed. Great director, great writer, great filmmaker and I would recommend to anyone!

From start to finish Dan was extremely helpful and professional. He gets to know you as not just a client but a friend and that made me feel extremely confident and relaxed walking into the shoot day. He does everything for you and makes the experience highly enjoyable and the end result was phenomenal. I would highly recommend him
