I would write a review for zero stars if possible. This has been an unmitigated disaster and loss of much time. I have submitted a dispute to the bank as I am getting the "a refund is not possible" even though they say they guarantee their work. Long list of issues. High pressure and lied about the services provided for the fee and "you have to sign up today". The logo design was mostly ok but I have also realized that the logo (when I really focused on it) was incorrect-the tag line and even the name had "resource" on it. But the website- oh my gosh- what a mess! I kept providing content and information- they ignored it and it looked like they just slapped things on the site. I had to go look for images and information as they were way off base (male images when i work mostly with females), etc. I have wasted the better part of a month on this and have nothing to show for it. They (again lied) and said that any negative reviews were from "competitors" and I want to affirm that this is from a person wanting to have a relatively simple website. They wanted MY credentials to access my domain which has all the account information including my payment information. I had set up (per their request) a separate admin user but they kept pushing back. Alex Johnson (not sure if that is his real name) is now bullying and threatening to go after my business and license. Here is a quote from the email sent 7/10/25 at 3:04 p.m. pacific time. and could potentially impact your professional license. He is also threatening "legal consequences". They are saying that "everything was delivered" and NOTHING is done or useable! RUN- do not use them! I would be highly suspicious of any positive reviews...

I had the honor to work with Mark Wilson from custom design, I have no words to express how much I appreciate not just the team but the quality of the job they have done. They designed my Logo,brochures, business cards, my design wrap, as well as my website. I am so satisfied with the work. Thank you Mark.

My experience was great, the guy that was working with me did everything like he was supposed to without any problems, complaints, or judge us because of how many changes we requested for him to do. He worked with us not against us. And after everything we’ve finally found the right logo.

I paid for a logo design ($119) and once a final version was ready they claim to have applied to get a trademark and that I needed to pay $1250 to finish the application. The initial communication was very unclear about the consequences of not doing so. However, the issue has been resolved and I have the product as promised.
If you run into difficulty, insist on written clarification as much as needed for you to understand.
I don't not anticipate any further issues with this company, and I have a logo I am happy with.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They start by saying that you will only have to pay X amount to get everything completed, and then will continuously say that you HAVE to pay more money to have this done or that done. We “finished” our work with them months ago, and they sent us two emails today- one stating we still have to pay them $2,500 to finalize the process, and the second email from a LAWYER with a cease and desist because we didn’t pay them the $2,500 to finalize the process. This company is completely unethical and fraudulent, and just sucks all the money they can out of you.

I paid for a $300 website and it was a great site for $300. I also needed a custom built site and they charged me $750. It never met my expectations and all over their site they state money back guarantee... That's bs! I found a company I'll recommend for less, also have taken screen shots of both companies websites... When I went back to ask for the money back they basically laughed in my face and still to this day have not provided my funds back but also provided no service. BUYER BEWARE!! OVERSEAS CROOKS! Also, they'll show you a different website than what you get! I show proof!

We had a great experience working with the company on finding the perfect logo for our business. The response was quickly and they were very helpful!

Communication, design was excellent, good service

Whatever you do, do not work with Joshua Sanders. He built us a website and it was a decent website. He said he could make it even better but we had to pay another $300 so we said fine. He never did another thing to it. Took our money and will not respond to us anymore. He is a crook. I don't know about the rest of them but they refuse to give us our money back, even though their website says they have a money back guarantee. I wouldn't recommend them for anything.

A lot of what I'm trying to portray gets lost in translation, or something, because each revision I've asked for goes the opposite of what I brought up

They are a total scam. They give you renderings of a watermarked logo then try to upsell you and when you decide to not proceed they circle back months later and threaten legal action and use high pressure tactics to try to get you to pay them thousands of dollars

This company is a scam! Do not trust them at all they will only deceive. All of their reviews are FAKE! SO don't fall it. The service is terrible and they just take your money without delivering anything of value. I regret trusting them and nd would advise everyone to stay away from Custom Design Genius. They will just scam you!

DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS!! All positive reviews you see here are engineered by them. They lie about 100% ownership for the logo, it's 100% ownership of a watermarked logo! to have the official one you pay $5000+ !!!! They are a bunch of thieves based in India not in NY!

DO NOT USE!!! This company is a total scam! Tried to use them for a logo design, add stated "money back guarantee". Did not like any of the logos presented told them we would not be using them. Then they hit us with an erroneous cancellation fee. They have left multiple VM and emails threatening lawsuit, even though we are not and have never used the watermark logos they presented. TOTAL SCAM of a business.

I would give Zero stars if I could. This company is a complete scam. They took my payment and then threatened not to give me certain files of my logo unless I paid more money. They did finally send the files without additional payment after back and forth emails and me demanding a refund. BUT THEN they started sending threatening emails and calling threatening me with copyright infringement, UNLESS I paid them more money... AGAIN. I have been recording all phone calls and sending any email correspondence to my attorney. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. I'm in this boat as a result of not reading reviews prior to using them. Dont be like me.

They are a scam and will try to take more money from you. Do not give them access to your account!
The office is not in New York that is a lie as well.

HIRE ANYONE BUT THEM. I contracted with Custom Design Genus a couple of months ago. They have only completed about 10% of the work I contracted for. I have countless hours, and hours invested in getting the 3 completed services. What they achieved so far would have taken maybe an hour with Vista Print. They keep calling me wanting to sell me additional services, but when I insist they finish what I already bought they disappear. THE SYSTEM MAKES ME GIVE THEM A STAR. MY ACTUAL RATING IS NEGATIVE 5 STARS

Stay away from this company, I've contacted them for a logo design and was pressured into getting a website package from them, I tried looking at reviews and I saw some good ones as well as some bad but knowing that with all companies you will have some bad reviews I decided to give them a chance . I swear to you being pressured is an understatement when it comes to the relentless pursuit from them to get you to buy a package and honestly they did not deliver I am in the process off trying to get my money back from them which is $950 and they even changed they number on me so there isn't anyway to get in contact with them I also have screen recording, audio messages and texts messages to show the proof I hope this will help anyone else not to become a victim of this company and I will share the information publicly so the proof is out there about custom design genius scam off a company

Custom Design Genius, created a small logo for only $45, a small logo that does not even work for me, or is in use. Now two months later, got a disturbing text message from a person acting as Mark Wilson, a paralegal for Custom Design Genius, trying to intimidate me with a 75,000.00 lawsuit, for a copyright and infringement violation, and asking me to take down the logo and to pay $1700 for a closure letter. I was confused and a little intimidated, thinking that I had maybe made some kind of mistake, but at the same time feeling a little apprehensive, about these messages and harassing phone calls. I only allowed him to collect $300 from my credit card, I then continued to tell this guy that I was going to make additional payment later on, at the same time, something inside me was telling me something was wrong. I proceeded to investigate this person and phone # 929-441-7642 and the name he was using as Mark Wilson and discovered that it was all a fraud and a scam. I then proceeded to cancel my credit card with my bank, asked to replace it, and disputed the charge, I then contacted the BBB and reported it, to my local police department fraud division, followed by the NY, Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens police department, fraud division, do to the fact his area code is from those areas, and every other platform that displays and fights fraud.
PS: In my bank statement, the charge shows as Design Web Logics.
My bank is refunding the money...

I’d rather give no stars at all. Same experience as most of the other one star reviews, I purchased the logo they designed, they told me I had rights and it’s mine to use, then started contacting me a couple months later saying exactly this text message:
“You are requested to please immediately take down the logo the rights have expired and, if found, using this can be subject to legal consequences.
If you're not using the logo you're required to get a closure letter to get your IP legally closed from the federal office records.
If found using the logo , Below sections would be applied:
Section 106: Exclusive Rights of Copyright Holder
Section 107: Fair Use
Section 501: Infringement of Copyright
Section 502: Remedies for Infringement: Injunctions
Section 503: Remedies for Infringement: Impounding and Disposition of Infringing Articles
Section 504: Remedies for Infringement: Damages and Profits
Section 512: Limitations on Liability Relating to Material Online
Section 1201: Circumvention of Copyright Protection Systems
