Good idea but does not work. Upload is very , very ,very slow. Chrashes often. Waste of money. Software sucks

I messaged them numerous times about getting my money because Costco does better, they keep messaging me about the shipping details and the reward type details because they have no interest in doing so.

More details please reach me out PERSONALLY and as DISCREETLY as I don't have the leisure and the time to spell out it out one by one.

Ho saltato la fase di migrazione da hatch a ds3 per problemi personali. Ho scritto alla assistenza ma senza alcuna risposta. Comprendo di aver perso i dati ma di non aver diritto ad un nuovo account di pari spazio non mi sembra corretto (il fatto di non rispondere sottende forse questo).

Ho partecipato sin dall'inizio al progetto della campagna di Cubbit acquistando la cella da 1T. All'epoca era tutto permesso bug, lentezza etc...ma certamente non dopo anni di sviluppo. Dal passaggio a DS3 si verificano soventi rallentamenti di sistema addirittura a volte non funzionanti, oggi ad esempio la mia schermata è completamente vuota senza possibilità di visualizzare anni di file importantissimi salvati. L'assistenza apparentemente gentile di facciata ma inefficace ed inefficiente non risponde nemmeno, non risolve i problemi ignorando qualsiasi cosa. Cubbit è un fallimento totale.

Utilizzo Cubbit da due anni e mi trovo molto bene

Spesso la velocità di upload non supera i 300 Kbyte/s
Il servizio clienti riferisce che ci sono problemi che verranno risolti, ma dopo qualche giorno il problema si ripresenta.
Attualmente (5/4/2024) è una settimana che è praticamente impossibile fare upload a causa della lentezza
Purtroppo richiedono il pagamento in un'unica soluzione, quindi non si posseggono leve per poter far migliorare il servizio

Il servizio Cubbit ha sempre funzionato male, da quando l'ho acquistato perchè fiducioso della startup innovativa, Italiana, ecc ecc... Da subito ho riscontrato grande lentezza , abbastanza frequentemente, tale impedire la fruibilità dei dati. Ora hanno migrato verso una nuova piattaforma, che dovrebbe migliorare il servizio; peccato che nella migrazione mi hanno perso 100GB di dati.

attenzione, perderete tutti i vostri dati. Credevo molto nel progetto, ho acquistato la Cubbit Cell e disdetto tutti gli abbonamenti in cloud. Ad oggi il passaggio da Cubbit Hatch a DS3, vista la lentezza della piattaforma non riesco a passare tramite il loro Tool tutti i dati. La lentezza imbarazzante che da sempre caratterizza Cubbit. Sono molto arrabbiato, prima di giocare con i dati delle persone fate le cose per bene!!!!!!!!!!

Cubbit is broken to the core, nice idea but so badly implemented and such poor quality software, that you cannot rely on being able to access your data once uploaded. The "Support" is a joke and they don't care and just fob you off, they don't understand the issue and are not able to give you any help at all. Don't waste your money. Use any other service but not this one, I have lost Hundreds of GB of data from what they describe as the "safest place to store your files", this is completely incorrect

Products are slow and very unreliable in operation, support is nonchalant and I recommend that you don't trust this service with any precious data.

Have had the Cubbit for a few years. Was initially a bit of a challenge (which is probably what other were commenting), they have added functionality including app for iPhone and Apps for computers (macOS and Windows). I don't use Android so can't speak to that. Uploading and sharing files is easy and works just like dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive. Only issue is the uploading and downloading function is slow with all the encrypting and block chaining. But they are rolling out a new update that will speed things up dramatically. Leaving the unit plugged into router and on all the time is a non-issue as it doesn't use much energy and there is nothing to do from a user perspective. And if one has to pay for 1 TB of cloud storage, having this "free" simply to buy and contribute the 1 TB (or more) seems like a no brainer. And if you don't want to continue, you can use the device as local 1 TB drive. Overall, I if you don't want the big data companies controlling data on their servers and billing you for recurring subscriptions and yet still want a "cloud storage" function with ability to share and access via multiple platforms, this works well. PS. Customer support is ok - provided 9 to 5 via email from Italy so not a 24/7 service at the moment.
Biggest concern is that some Private Equity firm or Tech firm will buy this and then convert it to a subscription service....
Overall - I like this and am happy to support.

Kickstarted this project, paid a high price for a unit and because I believed in the project.

Even though the UI worked sometimes to upload files to the cloud it was super slow, I was never able to download anything back from somewhere else nor were my friends when I used a sharing link.

I always kept the thing plugged in and updated just in hope that one day it would be useful and the project would take off. But it never did.

Just 1-2 days ago I got a survey from Cubbit to know if I would recommend their product, on which I said no and gave the lowest scores. The survey also asked for my Cubbit account.
Today my computer got fried after a Cubbit update that had a mandatory CPU restart and won't start anymore. Kind of odd that it's working fine since years and that the moment you take an update from them after having rated them badly in a survey you suddenly get an update which kills your computer.

I've disconnected my unit and would consider it malware at this point.
