Creative commission is part of Talenthouse (also formerly Zooppa.com until 2018) which has been filed for bankruptcy in 2024, most (maybe any) creatives who won competitions never been paid.

Do not waste your money.

I have never received any work despite having many years experience in the industry, and CC sharing my work on their social media (work I'd completed for clients that I had longstanding relationships with).

Over the years the quality of work on offer and the rates seem to be getting lower and lower, with much of the work that is advertised seemingly fabricated. When I tried to cancel my account within the 14-day cooling off period and asked for a refund (a UK consumer right) they went cold and stopped replying to my emails.

Creative Commission is currently (as of September 2025) still trading under Three Lanes Ltd a company which was dissolved and struck off the register in 2023. This tells you all you need to know.

Subscribed a couple of years ago. Never got any commission. Could not unsubscribe, so they charged me again - this year. Could not get my money back. Waiting for a letter from support since two months now.

What is this? I didn't even sign up for it and saw a charge to my business for 165 dollars. For what? I don't even know what this is and didn't even sign up for any service. There's also no way to contact this company. This looks a lot like a fraudulent company stealing from people. They stole from me. I didn't authorize any charge from them. Crooks.

Overall a very disappointing service.

I subscribed in Jan 2024, applied for many commissions and rarely heard anything back at all. When applying there is basically no updating and communication from either the commissioning party or the platform itself.
On several occasions I chased up with creative commissions to see if a job had been assigned as there was no confirmation or update. They usually did get back to me but often took a while to do so and it was usually a vague response as they were unable to confirm things.

A prime example would be the only occasion I won a pitch for a commission.
Upon winning there was no way to contact the ‘client’, the client must contact you. BUT they did not, I reached out to creative commission several times to get things moving. They were unable to contact the client, this went on for a while.
I then tried to reach out to the artist directly on a few platforms. Having researched them a bit it seems they are compete chancers, probably without the funds to actually proceed with a music video.

This isn’t necessarily indicative of every job that gets posted, however I do get the feeling that there is no barrier to fairly inexperienced and dubious people just posting jobs and perhaps I had a lucky escape as I’m sure getting paid would have been a challenge.

Overall definitely do not pay to use this service, it is not worth your time, money and effort.

Was charged for a service that I’d cancelled and denied refund for the money taken. Bad customer service.

I asked for a refund for an unused service and it was denied.

This company is very greedy.

Brilliant website, has totally kickstarted my career transitioning back into creative gigs after many years of selling my soul to the corporate world and actually being made redundant from by biggest client, saving my bum in the process! But you have to put the work in yourself. Have a consistent body of work. CC gives you the in, but that's only half the battle!

Creative Commission is AMAZING! As an independent artist, I have so many different aspects of my music career to manage. Being able to post jobs and connect with freelancers/companies to help me complete projects is a game-changer! I've used it several times now and each time I was blown away by the incredible people/companies I was able to work with! It's super easy to use and they have outstanding customer service. I can't say enough good things. I'm hooked now! Highly recommend it!

In an industry that rarely makes good on its promises it's refreshing to find a company that actually delivers what it promotes. Creative Commission do just that.
We recently gave them a pretty tough brief for our breaking band Electric Enemy with very specific requirements and what they delivered not only met but actually exceeded expectations and it was delivered on time and for the promised price...RARE !!!
I could not recommend Matt and his team highly enough and they are now our go to hassle free choice for video creation.

Creative Commission is a fantastic resource for our label to find talented creatives who are suited to our varying briefs and budgets. Their portal allows us to browse and post briefs directly, and their team provide additional support and check-ins for where we might need additional ideas or help.

We were with them for around two years and received nothing. We have previously worked with some of the biggest brands on the planet. Bit odd to say the least! ;/

I have recently used Creative Commission for an animation job. I cannot recommend them enough. The website is really easy to navigate and we where quickly inundated with hugely talented animators. The hard part was picking one.

Have been using Creative Commission professionally for a number of years and am consistently impressed at the calibre of creative found on the platform. It's brilliant!

Due to lockdown in Australia, we were unable to film the band for their recent single Music Video. Instead, we thought, why not shoot the video in London, without the band and have a lead talent cast instead, to represent the band and carry the aesthetic. We received about 9 brief responses and the directors we chose, Simon and Patrick, absolutely nailed the treatment and delivered an EPIC final video. We'll definitely use creative commission again!

Have signed up a while back for a free account on behalf of some of our freelancers with the hope to trial this organisation's leads for reputability ahead of potentially registering for a premium account. However, trialling their service is not possible and as far as we're concerned, all these briefs could be fake or out-of-date or misrepresented. We won't know.

The fact that the creative resource pays for the privilege of finding work, rather than the commissioning party upon successfully placing an order is bad enough. But to charge a subscription without any guarantee to provide work through the platform, no trial period or evaluation method, we have to stay away and warn others to do the same.

This notion was further strengthened by the fact that the organisation has so far failed to respond to any of our attempts to get clarification about the above-mentioned points. We tried more than one communication channel.
