Absolutely fantastic trip and everything was so well organised by Crazy Puffin and it went well and the trip was extremely diverse and ambitious. I will definitely travel with Crazy Puffin again but this was my first trip with them but I have travelled a lot and Madagascar was the 141st country I have visited and it was a real luxury to have everything so organised. Thank you.

Itinerary covers a wide range of locations and activities, and many details were shared timely pre-departure. From the start of the tour, everything was well-organised, both guides (local Afghan and from Crazy Puffin) are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. High recommended!

Travelled with Crazy Puffin to Mainland Yemen in February 2026 and had the utmost amazing tour. Met some amazing travel friends who for sure I will travel with again. The Yemen tour was just a beautiful tour from first minute to last. Amazing local guides and transportation was just top notch.

I travelled with Crazy Puffin Aventures recently to their mainland Yemen location and had a fantastic time. The staff was wonderful and very accomodating, considering I joined the adventure quite late. The booking process was very positive, with good communication and very fast replies.
The itinerary in the country itself was very enjoyable and the local guides fantastic.
Their briefing pre-travel was informative and accurate, and everything that was listed as part of the itinerary was completed
Overall it was a very positive experience with this company, and my first time trying it, and I couldn't recommend it enough! I am looking forward to joining in other trips with them.

I simply can't put into the words the exceptional service Björn, Niloo and the whole Crazy Puffin team put together from the start of the trip. For a younger, more inexperienced traveller like myself it can be daunting trying to find travel experiences in lesser known parts of the world but from the start the customer service was personal, direct and of an incredibly high standard. Giving you the most amount of confidence you need to have in your trip planning. If you're hesitant about Crazy Puffin, I can assure you that you won't regret booking with them. Amazing trip in a nice country with a lot of history and culture. We came close to the people and live out in the village.

I have been on 2 Crazy Puffin Adventures now and can honestly say they are the number 1 and 2 best holidays I have ever taken. Socotra and Turkmenistan.
The chance to go to countries and places most people do not go to is fantastic.
All visa were arranged by Crazy Puffin which made the organizing a lot less stressful .
The trips were well organized with plenty of various locations and activities, and a chance to meet like minded people and friends, fabulous local food and great local informative guides. The trips still run even if there are not many people booked on them.
I will be booking more trips with Crazy Puffin in the near future.

I’ve been on two wonderful Crazy Puffin trips. Guides and experiences were excellent. Pricing is very fair and communication is good. I will travel with them again!

I've taken 2 trips with Crazy Puffin (Mauritania & Turkmenistan) and I've enjoyed both trips a lot!
The booking process has always been smooth with the team answering all questions promptly and the adventures themselves have been super fun. Solid organization and prep from the puffin side making the trip smooth sailing.

I booked a solo trip to Socotra through Crazy Puffin Adventures and was initially informed that the flights would be released at a later date. However, when I attempted to book the flights a few months later, they were no longer available. Despite this, the company refused to refund my deposit, even though there was no way for me to take the trip without the necessary flights.

They offered to move my booking to another date, but as a teacher with limited holidays, none of the alternative dates were suitable. I explained this to them multiple times, yet they were unwilling to accommodate my situation.

I had hoped for more understanding and flexibility from a smaller company, but instead, they have capitalized on my unfortunate circumstances and retained my deposit. This experience has been deeply disappointing, and I would strongly advise others to avoid booking with this company.

Where to start…? I did the infamous iron ore train ride! The days before went fast with interesting sites and wild camping and guesthouses as accommodation. Only nice places. It’s my second trip with crazypuffin and I’m not disappointed. The train ride is 18 hours and I was a bit nervous for that but the hours flew by and suddenly it was sunrise and morning and the ride was done…it’s an experience I’ll never forget! It’s surreal, is amazing it’s simply great…the group was great and the guide Mohammed was also great! I will definitely come back as a hard core puffin and do a third and fourth trip with the puffin family!
