I returned an item to a company but sent it back to the 'return address' shown on the envelope, which happened to be Crane Xpress. After the merchant couldn't locate it. I sent them an email but they asked me to contact them by WhatsApp. I took a photo of the envelope before sending it back. They claimed the photo is fake(!), asked irrelevant questions such as "why am I returning the product" and asked for all kind of 'proof of purchase'. They even asked for the credit card details (which I of course refused to provide). Then they asked me to pay them $30 in order to get a "forced refund" which sounded like a scam so I just reported them.
