We absolutely LOVED our recent stay in Chatan Cove Valley! It is a truly special place, and exactly the ‘escape’ we needed. From the moment you go through the gates the adventure begins, the drive down to Chatan parking is a little experience in itself and not one we were fully expecting, followed by the walk with a wheelbarrow of luggage to the cabin to really give you that sense of leaving your life behind. Recommend arriving in the light if possible!
Chatan cabin itself is rustic but done to the very best of standards & all the fittings/ furniture/ details provided are so thoughtfully selected and each so beautiful. A real getaway. The morning chorus of birdsong is something I won’t forget for a while. Love love love. We will be back I’m sure, would like to try Hopi too! Thank you 🙏

We were so lucky and grateful for a last minute escape to Cove Valley and what a wonderful escape it was! The setting is magical and staying at Chatan we felt deeply immersed in the forest in a way that has never been possible for me before despite living in a rural farm for many years! The booking and check in process are seamless. The long walk from the car parking spot to the cabin all add to the excitement of the secluded setting and we felt very lucky to witness many of the animals being that the owners are inviting back to the valley. I loved the interior design and found the bed super comfy. Pizza night was also a great treat and a delicious experience. We will definitely be back we hope!

My husband and I have just returned from our second visit to Cove Valley staying in the Chatan. This time returning in the Spring it was lovely to see all of the wild life and the beautiful birds nesting, the red deer and roe deer and even some beavers!

This cabin is outstanding that is why we booked it for the second time. We absolutely love it here it is so peaceful and tranquil a world away from the hum drum of every day life no stress no hassel a different world to immerse yourself in nature.
Yolanda and Ben have created an absolute haven in the Chatan and every little detail is superb.
We can't wait to return again soon.

An amazing valley! Got back to nature in one of the most peaceful spots. Plenty of wildlife and many different environments to visit just on the circular walk! Be aware the walk is pretty hilly and takes a little more time than you'd expect.
Spent our time listening to birds, relaxing in the hot tub, reading, saying hi to the animals and just being.
Totally recharged and reset. A great head clearer! Thanks 😁

A rewilding project in the depth of the Devon countryside is an absolute gem. Spent 3 days at Hopi and it was a great experience. Outdoor hot tub heated with logs. Very nicely appointed cabin and a view that will be remembered for a lifetime. Wildlife abounds and the stars at night were spectacular. No TV but wifi available or you could… go off grid if you want. Highly recommended.

Private, beautifully presented cabins, nestled in the heart of a rewilding project? What’s not to love. We have just spent a long weekend in Chatan cabin, relaxing, recharging, exploring and experiencing the delights of nature (their resident red deer, and wild pigs are a delight, as well as wild Roe Deer, owls, bats, buzzards etc). Star gazing from the wood fired hot tub, following a home made pizza in the pizza oven, or a fire pit barbecue. The attention to detail that has gone into the whole experience cannot be overstated. The only bad point is that it had to end, as all good things do. I hope we’ll be back some day!

A truly unforgettable & inspiring stay. Ukai was so beautifully designed & positioned in the most magical setting amongst the forest sights and sounds.

We’re so grateful to have experienced the incredible conservation work happening here. The storks, deer, horses, and especially the pigs are clearly thriving in this animal paradise.

Thank you to Yolanda for organising everything so seamlessly. Cove Valley felt like a peaceful sanctuary a million miles away from everyday London life.

We had the loveliest stay at Cove Valley, we truly didn’t want to leave. I can’t remember the last time my husband and I felt so relaxed. The interiors are absolutely gorgeous and have given us lots of home inspo! The Hopi cabin had all of the amenities we could need during our stay and all of the toiletries were gorgeous. We particularly loved the day bed for lounging around and the wood fired tub for relaxing and enjoying the views.

Yolanda gave us really clear check in instructions and was so friendly and helpful in recommending local places.

We would love to return to Cove Valley in the future.

Absolutely loved our romantic little get away in the woods. We spent a lush long weekend at Cove Valley and stayed in Ukai. Everything was comfortable and cosy and we felt like we were in our own world away from everything soaking up nature. The animals were so beautiful and we loved our walks on the land everyday. Thank you so much for sharing a piece of your sanctuary. We will be back xx

Escaped to a cabin in the forest to get away from the world and everyone in it: Chatan a magical cabin reminiscent of ”little house on the prairie” for those that remember but with 20th century luxuries. The floor is soft on your feet, the smell of the wood calming, it’s a hug as you walk through the door. Beautiful, thoughtful well put together interior with plenty of inspirational detail and reading material. Incredible woodland surroundings and wildlife galore. Star gazing perfection once the sun’s gone down. The fact that the cabin nestles within the hosts rewilding project is an absolute privilege. The attention given to get you to your secret hideaway is excellent. Should you wish to be utterly care free they provide plenty of optional extras: BBQ feasts to Pizza dough and all the trimmings to make your own pizza in a Gozney Oven delivered to your door. Am I feeling restored and inspired you bet I am!! Thank you all at Cove Valley!

What an amazing spot to stay for a few days. We stayed in the Chatan cabin and it couldn’t have felt more secluded and peaceful. The option to use the pizza oven is a great bonus as well. The cabin set up is amazing with everything you could need!

Me and my partner came to stay at the Hopi cabin in Cove Valley, and it was nothing short of enchanting!

From the super soft bed to the stunning little touches scattered throughout the cabin, the stunning sunset views sat on the porch to the star lit skies viewed from the steaming hot tub - it was pure perfection.

As busy workers it was beautiful to totally switch off, put our phones down and enjoy nature with not a tv in sight!!

We could not recommend this stay any more highly, we will absolutely be back again and can't wait for our next adventure!!

It was a really fantastic place with beautiful nature. There was lots of thoughtful touches in the cabin and from the host and would highly recommend people experiencing it for themselves.

The best place to get away from the world, slow down and sit amongst nature.

Super comfortable cabin, with everything you need - large bed, hot rainfall shower with a view, fully equipped kitchen, comfy sofa…

But best of all is the location. Sitting amongst trees. Bird song and trickling stream for company. Outdoor firewood heated bath to soak it all in from.

Not forgetting wandering amongst deer and Iron Age pigs, spotting beaver dams, and breathing in the freshest of air.

Heaven. Visited twice. Will book a third visit soon.

Cove Valley is such a beautiful & serene place, the perfect escape from the outside world.

We stayed at “Chatan” which was the most cosy, magical treehouse cabin. The interior design and attention to detail are exceptional.

In the grounds you’ll expect to see gorgeous & friendly wildlife, along with incredible views.

Thank you to Yolanda for a seamless experience with booking and for being so accommodating. My husband and I could only get childcare for 1 evening which Yolanda was happy to accommodate last minute.

Cannot express how amazing the last 3 nights staying in the magical Hopi cabin have been.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. Nestled in the most peaceful and picturesque surroundings, this stunning cabin gave us the perfect escape from the craziness of everyday life.

The attention to detail in the cabin is incredible. It’s beautifully designed, blending rustic Old American charm with modern comforts, creating a warm and cosy space. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and waking up to nothing but the sounds of nature was pure bliss. The outdoor space was just as incredible—a perfect spot to relax, unwind, and take in the breathtaking views while lounging in the wood-fired hot tub.

Everything was immaculately clean, and every little touch had been thought of to make our stay truly special.

Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a private peaceful retreat, or simply a chance to reconnect with nature, Hopi Cabin is an absolute gem. We left feeling completely refreshed and already can’t wait to return.

A Perfect Cabin Retreat with Stunning Access to Exmoor

The Hopi cabin was everything I had hoped for—and more. Nestled in a wonderfully secluded spot, it provided the perfect escape while offering unbeatable access to the delights of Exmoor.

One of the standout features for me was the well-equipped kitchen. So often, holiday rentals promise a “fully stocked” kitchen, only to disappoint—but not here. From quality cookware to thoughtful little extras, it had everything needed to prepare meals with ease. It made staying in just as enjoyable as heading out.

And then there was the bed—absolutely incredible! It made for some of the best nights' sleep I’ve had in a long time.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat that blends rustic charm with modern comfort, while placing you right on the doorstep of Exmoor’s natural beauty, I can’t recommend this cabin highly enough. I’ll definitely be back!

We feel brand new!
Everything is so thought through- you HAVE to walk and meet the pigs and deers.
The pizza oven is a must, the breakfast, bbq packs were amazing too and the Wine was perfect.
We saw so much wildlife- already booking our next visit.
