I have a membership but never get discounted prices for members. False advising fraudulent. This has now happened twice!

Ripponden store. Unfortunately I've given the store 2 stars! Not because of choice or the staff but how it has become a 'free for all' and top senior management don't appear to be doing anything about it; leaving both staff and customers vulnerable. I have witnessed many times theft by both young and old just filling up their baskets and walking out without a care in the world, knowing they can get away with it. Once there were 3 guys who got into a waiting car with full baskets and arms full of stolen items. Another time 3 women again with baskets full of stolen items got into a waiting van which was in the carpark, reg covered up! School children filling up their bags and laughing at you when you challenge them. Come on senior management; you know this is happening. You know Ripponden coop has now got a reputation for 'a free for all- take whatever you want'. Stop turning a blind eye to what's happening and do something about it. If you don't care about the loss in profits, then at least care about the safety of your staff and customers. This is ongoing.

Co op Heartford Road there Just Eat is a joke. Always a problem. 25 min wait only for it to be cancelled 2 mins after they close…..convenient!!!!!!’nnnnn

Co-op openly supporting animal cruelty!
Against the wishes of members, customers and the public, Co op bosses have publicly decided to support and continue the sale of cruelty food, prioritising profit over the suffering of food animals (in this case chickens), and the quality of their products. DISGUSTING!
Hope they feel good spending their bonuses.
I will never again spend money with any company associated with the co op group.

Three different members of staff at the Kelsey Drive Leighton Buzzard branch of the Coop were so friendly and helpful this morning, it was a pleasure to visit the shop.

Vastly overpriced ,cold meats are a disgrace,girls talking about what there going to be doing at the weekend ask them a question and they look at you as if I'm a little green man from Mars and now my dividend car app has stopped working saying I have Internet issues ABSOLUTE RUBBISH HELLO SAINSBURYS HERE I COME !!!

Earl Shilton branch yesterday. One item (reduced) wouldn't let me continue on self checkout as it was actually out of date. Waited for ages for someone to come to find another item I had was also out of date (fresh veg both times). Things need to be tightened up. Also don't know why they put two manned checkouts in. I've probably seen them manned twice since the relaunch after refurbishment in December.

Shocking lack of transparency regarding a major data breach and now corporate minimisation of the scale of the issue.

Were it not for the BBC we'd know nothing of our sensitive personal data (name, birthdate, address, phone number, email) being stolen and being put up for ransom. This attempt at concealment was irresponsible and designed to face-save the directors and CEO rather than to inform the member-owners affected so they can take the required steps to safeguard their data and privacy.

For example, everyone now needs to change the password of their affected email, as well as set up 2 factor verification, which is a pain in the backside!

Kindly note that the CEO (who has somewhat peculiarly chosen not to email member-owners about the issue, but instead only put a little note up on the website, presumably hoping that no-one will read it...and in it seems most concerned that we can continue trading with her, so she can continue to earn her bonus, rather than telling them what an inconvenience she has put them to) earns £750,000 per annum plus bonuses.

Also note that this has happened during a time in which the board of directors appears to think it has been engaged to price-gouge its member owners. Prices are currently shooting up in Co-op stores for no good reason. Whose interests do the board of the Co-op think they serve now, precisely? Only their own!

If they had honour, all those bearing responsibility for this scandal and the attempt to conceal it, should resign. But do any have a shred of honour?

Because you can safely bet that not even one will resign, every single person on the board of directors deserves voting off at the next AGM, which I think deserves to be an extremely angry one.

It goes to show just how far the Co-op movement has fallen, to become subverted by so many of the worst aspects and exemplars of modern Capitalist culture.

No staff at checkout girl with red hair looked bewildered she even had to work. Tried to buy washing powder which they don’t put full pots out and she pressed the button didn’t even speak or acknowledge me didn’t get the washing powder from the back and walked off! Disgraceful staff who are rude and don’t know how to do their job

Co Op Card Nightmare
It may be me but getting this damn card has defeated me. Groundhog Day nightmare saying I'm already a member and they want my a/c number to verify.(Which I don't have) All password reset links end up back in the beginning and I don't have the time nor inclination to piss around any longer. Now they make it so "price match" items are only available with a card. I'll stick to the direct Aldi store which doesn't make such hurdles and the like.

They were dear in the first place but didn't mind too much as it was convenient & the reward card was better than most larger competitors.
Leaving that aside we now walk in to a co op & they are having their own conversations on the headsets !
What a complete joke ! I can stand at a till for ages waiting to be served !!! Definitely going backwards !!! There should be always be some one on the till.

They’re terrible with their bakeries. The taste is all good but bringing out the pastries in the morning they’re always late. I am talking about the Croydon branch. There are people who go to work in the morning so getting there with the disappointment of no bakery is upsetting

Witnessed a security man.Accuse a young lady of shop lifting.Where he verbally accused .Physically intimidated and humiliated .In front of everyone .The lady continued to shop with store staff after being exonerated As scared .This happened in their Shirehampton.store.An absolute disgrace .Sure people will be shopping elsewhere after incident sure I will

I became a member of the co-op as it's the only shop for 35 miles. I live rural ( Highlands of Scotland) and only make the round trip of 23 miles to get to the shop every couple of weeks. And to my disgust, I found that almost every item had increased in price. not by a couple of pence per item but by a quarter of the price of two weeks ago?!?! ( For example ham slices from £1 to £1.25, orange juice drink was £1 now £1.25) how can they justify the price hike in just two weeks?
I will be going the extra
twenty miles (each way) to get to the proper supermarket's rather than using the co-op again.
Community run and community owned my backside. Someone is benefiting and it's not the customer.or the community

Ridiculously expensive!! You are massively profiteering for convenience. I don't mind paying a little more but come on.... it's nonsense some of the prices you charge. Why do people have to become "members" for you to match Aldi?? Members of what?? For you to use their details to market to them??

Probably the worst of all supermarkets, our local smells of dead rodents killed by poison. Prices on product don’t match when you get to the till. You have to self checkout on 6 tills sometimes only half work and when he scale doesn’t register you product no staff to help.
The council should close it down.

Approached by security who tell me I must use a basket as I have stolen from their store!
Call Customer Care on 24/2/25. Told will be called back. No call back.
Call again on 5/3/25. Told I’d be called back.
25/3/25 Still no call back.
I call. After 11 minutes waiting call is ended by employee. 8 minute wait call ended b4 I get through.
18 minutes on third call of the day. Told they keep contacting store but not receiving a reply, so “nothing we can do”.
Call handler getting increasingly annoyed with me. No empathy.
Keep hearing sorry!! Not good enough.
TOLD I CAN GO INTO STORE TO RESOLVE ISSUE…… what’s the Customer Care line for!!

Completely misleading pricing and labeling. Even with a CO-OP membership card it's completely confusing. Make a price, stick to it.
