I am formally logging a severe complaint against Co-op regarding a coordinated, systematic pattern of customer profiling, false accusations, and data manipulation. While this hostile environment is prevalent across multiple regions, staff at the Farnborough (Woburn Avenue) and Milton Keynes branches are openly and regularly engaging in these targeted interventions.

On 5th May 2026 at the Woburn Avenue store, after scanning an item and actively calling staff over to verify the terminal screen, staff claimed the item wasn't scanned and maliciously activated the security barriers to humiliate me in front of customers. The logic is completely broken: a shoplifter does not stay at a till and ask staff to double-check their items. Head Office has admitted in writing that they have retrieved this CCTV footage, yet they are attempting to hide behind a "90-day retention policy" to delete it by the end of August 2026. This email trail, the staff's profiling, and Co-op's attempts to create artificial barriers to withhold evidence are being handed directly to the ICO and the Equality Advisory & Support Service (EASS). Management is on formal notice to preserve all digital logs.

This is part of an ongoing, documented track record of harassment by specific staff, including Lloyd and the Store Manager, Alex. Alex in particular engages in highly hostile, defamatory behavior, actively following me out of the shop and looking around under the false, malicious assumption that I am a criminal or have brought a gang with me. Although I am a regular customer and they know I am an adult, they have also weaponized arbitrary ID verification checks solely as an intrusive profiling tactic to extract my personal data and intimidate me.

Every single time I file a complaint, I am falsely told by corporate that the matter is "resolved internally," yet absolutely nothing changes on the ground. This ongoing dismissiveness and lack of action is exactly what emboldened the local team to escalate their behavior, ultimately tipping them over into this malicious attempt to frame me as a thief. This is not my first complaint; I hold an established paper trail of formal case references with Co-op Customer Service dating back over a year, including Case Ref: 14844352. Corporate compliance needs to step in immediately, as regional management is actively abusing store security systems to target and defame legitimate customers.

Ironbridge - Wharfage Coop store. The 6 eggs had an Aldi Price Match price of £1.55 (down from £1.90), but the lady at the till insisted on £1.90 even after challenged. Best shop at Aldi or similar.

Food waste in Seaford store !!
Try getting a back up generator, that way, when you have a power cut (twice in a week) you will not have to chuck all that valuable food away.
I feel for staff having to do this.

I dont understand the payment section at the till served by a cashier...I tapped my contactless card on the pin machine, it flashed up approved, then the cashiers said its declined,I said no its approved. .I was asked to tap a second time, therefore I have paid twice
This is not the first it has happened. I will need to contact my credit card company and ask for a refund..In future I will pay cash, as I am sorry to say I don't trust the co-op.

There is much confusion about who is dealing with what at the counter. This has been an ongoing problem for a long time and should be sorted out by now. This could be a great shop, and to be fair to staff, I think they are confused as well. I know people who avoid going because of the above problem, and I would not choose go if it was not for the cash machine. This shop has spread hours and good selection but wony be back anytime soon

I wish the pasta in the meal deals had more in them, I could easily eat double what im given!! Its overpriced too. They removed the vegan pesto and red pepper pasta in the meal deal too in my specific area, but idk if its just in mine or anywhere else, but either way im gutted I cant find it anywhere.

I have struggled to buy longlife milk for weeks, On most occasions milk was out of stock. In one week I tried 3 different branches, Burwell, One near Arbury Road in Cambridge and one near Mitchams Corner in Cambridge. I find coop very expensive and have very limited choice. The staff member that served me today in Burwell was very unhelpful

Their ordering website is truly, comically buggy and impossible to use - steer clear.

Went into store tonight extremely rude member of staff. Last time I will use this shop. The staff in NIsa always friendly.

Purchased today, Co ops own brand Chicken tikka biriani for £4, awefull, dry , well overpriced .

I am so done with this incompetent company!! Done an online order today for dog food,dog treats, Rice Krispies and cheese i got an email with my order and it had cigarettes on the order and nothing else I'd ordered ,I STOPPED SMOKING 9 WEEKS AGO!! Worse than hopeless I'm so done with this company between having to get different car insurance as my policy had went up insanely even though I'd been with them for years and now doing this I'm done my membership will be cancelled asap

Gatley co.op. is a handy store in a lovely old building let down by poor staff service. They keep you waiting at an empty kiosk and are in no hurry to serve customers.the lotto machine is zlways broken( i think they just can't be bothered. How things have changed at the Co Op.

I don't use my local coop much and today's visit certainly didn't inspire me to go back anytime soon. The male on the till had zero personality. He didn't interact at all, and never even looked at me! Maybe he was a robot!! Think training needed coop

St Paul's - Cheapside

Yesterday 19th Apr 8pm I was attempting to leave the shop after paying. The security man (oversized blond man often talking over the phone instead of supervising the store) stopped me and treated me like a thief. I explained to him that what he said was not making any sense at all and that he could go and check that on the till himself, but he carried on with his accusatory language

I'm looking for a detailed response on analysis conducted and action taken

Failing that, I'll take legal action against Coops for abuse behaviour by one of your staff members as this was recorded by your CCTV

I called them but an agent kept me waiting for ages and then hung up

Their webform is buggy and does not allow to submit enquiries

Co-op Odiham. Young lad behind the counter counting pennies, I asked for a bag to put my shopping in and completely ignored. When asked again he threw it on the floor in front of me. Terrible service once again.

I think the food is ok but I'm writing here about the awful online ordering website! When you log on it goes through two sets of showing photos to check you are a person not a bot. That's understandable but 15 minutes later it does it all again. Meanwhile if you search for items you get all sorts of random stuff. I searched for "cake" and got crisps as well. I searched for "coleslaw" and got humous. When I tried to check out it declined two sets of cards saying "something went wrong" but not telling me what. I finally managed to pay via Paypal. It didn't used to be this bad. Coop - fix it!

Went into Co-op 'Crabble hill Dover', where I live, and have shopped for years now, only to be greeted with the usual lack of manners from an unfriendly staff member, and because I complained to her about the general attitude of most of the staff there, (they are always busy, but that's no excuse to be so unhelpful), I was told "why don't you try shopping somewhere else!"
This sums up my feelings about the place, when a member of staff, rather than trying to curb her awful attitude, would rather tell her customer to go elsewhere!!
