Arranging my funeral
The lady I dealt with was extremely professional in dealing with such a delicate subject. She clearly knew her subject matter well and put the salient points across without 'flannel' or 'hard sell'. She was also friendly and supportive.

Do not buy a plan on line!!!!!!
If i could i would give no stars
Paid for a funeral package ,got confirmation email ,payment taken well over 6 weeks later still waiting for documents to come by post.
Numeerous phone calls and emails and no further ahead .
The help team on the end of the phone were less than helpful.
Have sent them all the relavent documents.
For example confirmation email ,proof of payment.
They have even admitted they have all of this but have told me to be patient.
Would the coop be as patient if their clients didn't pay for a service thry provided.
If this isn't sorted soon will be taking legal action and if it is sorted will expect compensation for the unnecessary stress and anxiety it has caused

The young man I spoke to was very polite, calm and respectful. When I asked him to slow his speech he did so. He explained all aspects and answered questions fully. He went over everything to make sure all was right. The only thing that irritated was after every interaction he would say “no problem”. A modern response I know but slightly annoying for an oldie.

We went to the Co-op Funeral Care to…
We went to the Co-op Funeral Care to arrange our funerals.
We were greeted by a lovely lady who made the experience, very pleasant, she was knowledgeable, answered all our questions with confidence and caring.
The atmosphere was light, not morbid at all and we were very pleased that we had made the decision to put our arrangements with the Co-op. Highly recommended.

We bought a Coop funeral plan with Linda, she was very friendly but professional we didn't feel rushed she explained everything in great detail for me to make an informed choice.

I was very impressed at how easy it was…
I was very impressed at how easy it was when doing it online. I got the no frills cremation I wanted and the whole process of choosing that option and completing payment was over in about 15 minutes.

Will Not Deliver on Funeral Plans - BEWARE Would not recommend their Funeral…
Would not recommend their Funeral Plans. My parents paid for funeral plans 10 years ago. Last August (2025) they both received letters detailing the contents of the plan including the named caskets chosen. Fast forward to today (July 2026) and only after my Mother’s passing were we informed that they cannot supply her chosen casket as they no longer deal with that company. The one alternative available is so ugly I wouldn’t bury my cat in it. My Dad was left in tears.
Local branch sympathetic, customer care horrendous & rude at a time when you are in emotional distress. Save your money in a separate account for when the time comes. These plans are more hassle than they are worth and the Coop have a “Computer says no” attitude to bereaved families. They are trying to renege on what was agreed and they promised to deliver. Shocking and would not recommend to families at their most desperate time in life.

Horrible company I’m taking them to court they cremated my aunt who paid for a burial
I have the plan they were shown this plan before they cremated my aunt,and ignored my emails
The media will be informed once the case is over

Pleasant and helpful appointment
Pleasant, informative and helpful experience. Staff had advised prior to appointment which paperwork and information would be needed so everything went smoothly. Booked appropriate funeral immediately, I trust the Co-op and have used Funeralcare in the past for family funeral. And it is a relief to have arranged this so it wont be stressful for my family when it is needed.
