Not convinced of competence of website

Very selective of what they publish regardless of content. I’ve written very detailed, precise and pertinent reviews and the “management team” has declined to publish them. I’m not convinced of the competence or commitment to transparency of their administrators.

Allstate Insurance

After 27 years of being a loyal customer with multiple policies, Home, Auto & boat. I thought I was with a really good insurance company. In May of 2022 I was going to file a claim for my roof. I called the ins. agent and we discovered that home owners policy had been transferred from my townhome to my single family was incorrect. The agent closed the claim and my policy was corrected and no claim was submitted or file. In March 2023 I had a major water leak and due to the numerous hail storms my roof needed to be replace. I submitted for the 2 claims and received a non renewal for my homeowners ins. policy shortly after. I was told I had 3 claims in 5 years. 1st of all I only submitted and had 2 claims paid but I am being punished for a 3rd claim that was not processed or paid because the agent wrote my policy wrong and it was withdrawn. I wish I had the power to control mother nature but I do not so I have no power over a roof claim. I guess I am suppose to sit at my home with no roof in order to keep insurance coverage. This is really a bad way to treat customers especially someone that has been with you 27 years. What a waste of my time in life I can not get back. I would give a negative review rating but I had to give you something in order to post this review.

April 11, 2023, I was celebrating my 53 birthday and my daughter wanted us all to go to 168 Crab and Karaoke at 32415 John R Road, Madison Heights Michigan 48071. Our booked time was 4 pm my party arrived 10 minutes before because we had an entire day planned and 1 hour of Karaoke would be fun for us to do together. When the doors opened I was very excited to go in because I had never been to karaoke before and I knew we would all have a great time. But when I reach the counter the man at the counter started giving us a hard time. My daughter said I booked a room for an hour of Karaoke I paid online through the site. The man at the counter said we have a 3-hour minimum and you have to pay the rest of the 60%. We told him we don't need 3 hours we have somewhere else to be in an hour. The man at the counter said we had to pay for 3 hours even if we didn't need them and they do not give refunds. We explain we don't want a refund we want to go into the room for 1 hour can he accommodate us in any way? I told him it was my birthday and my very first time coming. He said I don't care we have to pay for 3 hours we asked where does it says 3 hours my daughter said when I booked online it didn't say anything about a 3-hour minimum. He said it did, so we got out a phone and looked it up and showed him and he said everyone knows it's 3 hours I told him I've never been there before and how can I know if it's not on your site. I don't care he said I asked to see a manager he said he was the manager I asked him what is your name he said it was Lu. I told him I was going to tell the owner how he was conducting business and let everyone know that when you pay online you will be forced to pay or leave and he will not give a refund. Lu said he don't care who I tell! I told him this is a business and Lu you should care! We tried everything to convince him by trying to get Lu to understand that the site does not say 3 hours was required. But Lu would not budge if we don't pay for 3 hours we can't go in the room he repeated. I asked for the owner's information Lu said he can't give me that I kept asking he gave me a business card that was on the counter and said that's the phone right here and pointed to the phone that was on the counter. Letting me know I still wasn't going to speak to the owner. He said his boss change the policy 2 weeks ago because people can't afford to pay and when they get there 60% has to be paid. I told him that might be when the 3 hours was left off the site if it was ever on it and I told him I can afford to pay we just had tickets to a show he said he don't care. So we told him we hope you feel good about himself and we left. I felt very offended how can he say people can afford to pay but make them pay online and when they get there force them to pay 60% more and not accommodate them with a refund or use the time they paid for? Who would do that to someone and believe they can't afford to pay? I wonder whatever happens to the customer is always right. Lu's customer service was the worse I had ever seen in my life. Lu should not manage until he has completed some training on how to serve the customer I felt disrespected that Lu refused to reason and understand. He should know he was playing a part in our celebration and we choose Crab & Karaoke when we could have gone anywhere. Lu should know he played a major part in our expires for my birthday I could never imagine that I would be met by a manager that would have a lack of respect and concern for creating a great experience. Lu must know he ruined my day because Lu didn't care it was my birthday and I was coming for the first time and I had someone else to be after. Lu would have gotten money for the restaurant we were going to buy food and drinks so I can figure out why Lu was so comfortable as to not want to understand that the site doesn't say 3 hours let us go in and have the site add the 3 hours later. I'm very disappointed and I'm telling everyone about my experience Lu doesn't care but the people I'm telling do they said it's bad business and they are sorry I was treated that way.

We received our march statelate feement

We received our march statement, which included a $30 fee from Capitol 1. When we inquired, they said that charge was for LATE FEE from Jan. We are never late on our payments. We have contacted Capitol 1 a few times and they refuse .. to take the charge back. This apparently happened during the transition from Synchrony. We got NO help from BJ's on this matter. Frustration and wasting more time and energy on this, we paid this fee. We WILL be looking for another local warehouse that will take our $$ and pay THEM in full monthly. It's sad that BJs will allow this to happen and wash their hands of any assistance. OH...social media comments on both BJS lack of support and Capitol 1 thievery will follow

I stupidly trusted Consumer Affairs…

I stupidly trusted Consumer Affairs when looking for a moving company for a cross-country move. They rated International Van Lines highly (as did Forbes and This Old House). Now I understand that all those sites are just marketing sites for terrible companies.

I ended up using International Van Lines - they were horrible, lost stuff, broke stuff, rude staff, total bullies, completely undependable and lacking in conscience with no adequate grievance process available.

I feel stupid, but I've learned my lesson. From now on I will look for reviews from trusted sites like Trustpilot.

Thanks for being here for us!

TESLA reaction on Enhanced auto pilot

Worst experience purchasing a vehicle online, yes I am referring to the Green Energy Electric giant. I purchased the model Y with Enhanced autopilot feature assuming that I can enjoy the Auto Summon and Self parking features.

They are not currently available due to some technical reasons. I don't simply want to wait for them to be available rather take the features back and refund the amount I paid for them

If you have a consumer problem you will get better results explaining it to your cat.

This is a double bad web site because it appears as a legit way of filing a consumer review or complaint the consumer thinking someone is helping them with their problem. So false. I guess you have to review all such websites or your wasting your time. Last word, I believe overall consumer protections of bad business practices in the last 6 years has almost totally evaporated.

Will Consumer Affairs post your review???

I'm here to simply to confirm per my experience that consumer affairs is not on the consumers side. Consumer Affairs deletes consumers reviews if it reflects any negativity toward the business in question. Consumer Affairs violates consumers rights by not allowing a consumer to leave honest reviews of their personal experiences especially that are of a negative nature. Consumer Affairs has been reported to the BBB regarding this unfair practice. I myself have left a review to find following submitting that I left my review on the wrong platform. I discovered via BBB that many of which left reviews on the consumer affairs platform were rejected, deleted or just plainly never posted due to honest experiences revealing negative results. Consumers have every right to speak about and make publicly aware any and all fair or unfair practices engaging with any and all businesses. Transparency applies to all businesses where complaints and disputes be corrected and resolved accordingly to avoid such reviews. Before leaving a review on the consumer affairs platform, not only do I recommend going to the Better Business Bureau reviews to learn what many have experienced themselves at consumer affairs but I strongly suggest it so that you avoid putting forth efforts and wasting your valuable time wtiting about any negative experience you may have had attempting to resolve an issue with a business dismissing your claim. Consumer Affairs is a misleading platform, it's misleading in the way it sounds that its there for the consumer yet it is quite the opposite, at least from my experience as well as many consumers' reviews I later discovered. Consider this as a mere "heads up" if you are planning to leave your review on consumer affairs as they tend to be biased to the businesses you are reviewing. Basically , don't be surprised if your review does not get posted.

Consumer Affairs has a moderation team that decide if your review of a company is truthful, fair, kind???
I reviewed American Home shield twice. I requested three repairs in a span of a month. First my Well stopped pumping water to my home. AHS assigned a contractor that did not respond, then a second contractor did not respond. Neither want to work with AHS because slow to pay and approve cost to contractor. Finally after begging the second contractor he felt sorry for me because I had no water or sanitation for 14 days. The contractor came out fixed the problem, cost $1800 with no coverage from AHS. Second request was for my hot water heater. This time the contractor came out same day with a new tank. AHS sent a message to me saying they would not pay for any code updates, new electric hookups and depreciated my old tank. Had to pay $ 575 out of pocket because if I didn’t pay the tank would not be replaced. Contractor said it was extremely difficult to work with AHS because of slow to pay and reducing their cost and will get the customer to pay as much as possible of repair. The third request is for my Range Hood Fan. It’s been two weeks and AHS still has not provided a contractor. I call every two days and get the same push off. Wait until our dispatch team finds a company. I live in a large city. Lots of Appliance repair company’s and they can’t find one??? Consumer affairs
Published my first problem with the Well Pump but have not approved the last three reviews of AHS . All statements are true and understand are documented on my acct. but Consumer affairs thinks because I’m having compounded problems and my reviews get worse and worse they have deemed them not meeting their standards.

Consumer Affairs do not approve any reviews, thus they do not represent consumers at all. Take a look at attached below computer screenshot of the at the status of all the product and service reviews out of which none were accepted by the CA.

Never trust this site

Never trust this site! They remove my genuine reviews, especially about banks and online stores. I am a client of a few banks, including Citi, Chase, BoA and Wells Fargo. I notice my review for each bank has been removed by them. On the other hand, they post fake reviews. They probably got paid by manipulating user reviews.

I wish I could give you -5 stars. Don't you ever try to contact me to "work it out"! I am not going to negotiate with you!

I have found consumeraffairs.com to be extremely corrupt and unreliable. They patently place biased and inaccurate reviews.

Reviews are a pack of lies

I was shocked to read that Consumeraffairs rated SONOS as 3.8 out of 5 given their universal dire reviews elsewhere. Even Trustpilot has a rating of less than 1 with 84% of reviews rating them as BAD.

So, I started checking out the Consumeraffairs reviews, for Sonos, published on their site and I found the following:-

They claimed there were 129 reviews averaging 3.8.

I checked every review published but counted only only 62. Under half.

43 people rated Sonos as 1 (32 since 2019)
6 people rated Sonos as 2
4 people rated Sonos as 3
3 people rated Sonos as 4 (2 in 2017, 1 in 2019)
6 people rated Sonos as 5 (all in 2017!!!!)

THAT does not equate to a rating of 3.8. What a bunch of cowboys. Just like Sonos, who I have also rated as 1 out of 5.

Lies and problems with processing my loan

I have had home mortgages from Rocket Mortage in the past and had no problems, but this past two weeks have been Hell dealing with them! I was given a prequalification letter but when it came down to it today I was told that I was not qualified! He blamed it on COVID Changes and mortage changes made my debt to credit ratio the reason.
When I own a home valued at $410K and paid cash for it, No credit card debt, money in the bank, no credit problems in fact a Excellent rating, besides using a VA loan as a disabled Vet so I requested with in 24 hrs return my $500 for the appraiser, and have their supervisor write a letter explaining why they refused to issue a loan to me! I have a prequal letter and an email stating my loan was turned down by the underwriter. David Stanton 352-422-2644 if you have any questions. I

Has Consumer Affairs lost its vision?

They get one star for the handling of my review nr. 10463492/ for the following 2 reasons:
1) it is not possible to edit it and remove a typo in the title, or add a reference to reviews about Homeovet on Trustpilot.

2) it says: ON HOLD
Our moderation team has approved your review. ConsumerAffairs needs to collect more reviews to publish a page about this company.

This is confusing to put it mildly.
As I understand it, the review is held back until more reviews come in, whereas the detrimental behavior of Homeovet continues to lower the ethics level of the business world, the emotional level of the consumer world, and with that the level of life in general.
