What is the greatest thing you can give someone? Opportunity and Hope! And that is exactly what NACA is giving me! I recently had my first counseling session with my A+ counselor, Ellen Peterson! She was thorough, kind, and motivating! She gave me the jump start I needed to see this process through! I will definitely be sure to come back and review again after I've closed on my new home! I started the NACA process over two years ago and due to personal reasons I took a break from my home buying journey. After picking back up recently, my counselor has been very helpful and transparent regarding the journey. I was able to call and advise what documents are needed for my action plan. So far the process has been smooth sailing and I’m looking forward to continuing the process.

I've been with NACA since February 2018 and I still don't own a home...That should tell you how this program is.
I'm on SSDI so I can only work so many hours without jeopardizing my SSDI.
I have a counselor who don't believe in communicating and had two realtors who feel like because I'm on the low end of the income spectrum that I should pick whatever house they send me and be happy I can get something.
I stopped trying with this program by April 2022 and by March of 2023 the two counselors who stood me up a total of 8 times in 2022 decided to help in 2023 but with each I had to wait 6 months to get something done.
In November on 2023 my counselor wanted me to single handedly explain each and every transaction I made for 3 months. I told him I'm not about to do that. What's my bank statements for if I have to sit and remember every transaction I made within those 3 months?
So he sits on my file, but then decided to do something and by August of 2023 I finally get approved. He was so happy about that when in 2021 when the interest rates were at 3.25 and he kept standing me up, he could've done something then. Now my approval letter has expired again because there's no houses out there that I can afford. I requested a renewal back in March and the same thing is happening...no communications at all which is fine because there's no houses out there right now that I can afford anyway.

NACA is one of the BEST home ownership programs available! Especially for first time home buyers. It's not rushed and NACA prefers for you to take the time you need to understand the program and prepare for the largest investment you will ever make.

NACA also requires you to save money for minimum required funds which a small fraction of actually goes towards home buying (appraisal, tax, etc.) and the other portion you keep but is meant to have you purchasing with a decent amount of money in your savings.

NACA has no upfront costs or fees, no down payment, no credit score requirement, lower interest terms (including a generous buy-down option), and no monthly mortgage insurance premium (MIP). Now where can you find that???

I just love NACA. They have really taught me everything I should know in this home buying process. They have tons of informative resources online for me to use and my counselor Andrea has been helping and encouraging me since day one. I am so happy that I get to buy my first house through NACA.

Just started the NACA process by completing my pre counseling appointment. My counselor April has been very informative about the work needed on my end to become successful in the housing process. Recommend checking out the NACA videos on YouTube and sticking with the program. Bear in mind, a min of $2500 needs to be maintained throughout the process, review your credit report for discrepancies and keep updating your information on the portal.

I attended the NACA workshop where detailed information was shared on the home buying process. The presenter was thorough and was clear on the requirements, and benefits of the program. I'm just now getting started with my counselor and so far the process has been very organized. I'm excited to purchase my new home through NACA.

I love the NACA process so far. My housing counselor is amazing and I am going to be qualified after my intake appointment. I hope the whole process is this easy.

I just got finished attending a NACA purchase workshop. BECAUSE THAT MEANS I`M NACA QUALIFIED, IT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE EVERYONE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL IT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE A LOT OF INFORMATION AND THE COUNSELORS WAS ALL EXCELLENT

I am just starting my journey with NACA and so far I have nothing but good things to say about the process. The workshop is very informative. From what I see so far, if you are willing to put in the work, you will get the help that you need. I am very hopeful.

My experience with Naca program;

Naca is a perfect homebuyer program for low income family. I started in October 2023, I had my first zoom meeting with my counselor she is great and understanding person, quickly she explain to me what I needed to continue with the process. for my personal reason I was unable to continue at that time. Now I am back in February 2024 we have another meeting in a few days, thing is going faster than I expected, because my qualification already pending. Which I really appreciate I am grateful to have a counselor like her, her name is Faith Beach. That is why I think Naca is great program for some of us.

Working my counselor at NACA has been a great experience. Grateful to have an opportunity to work with such a great staff on my road to home ownership.

I have been a member with NACA since June 10, 2023. In the beginning of my journey, I felt the assigned counselor at that time left me in limbo. I submitted everything asked and was not receiving any communication on next steps. I have now been assigned a new counselor Sharlene Slater who is the absolute best. I had my first counseling session with her on January 30, 2024 and she went into great detail of what I needed to do. She answered all my questions. I appreciate Ms. Sharlene honesty, professionalism, and enthusiasm. I know feel I am one step closer to purchasing a home.

My experience with my intake associate Sharlene Slater was the best. She knew her stuff explained everything in detail. I was completely impressed with Sharlene professionalism and customer service.

I am currently working with a NACA counselor who is supporting me and my family with the appropriate steps to take to be qualified for a new construction loan.

NACA is a great learning start in purchasing your first home! Be PATIENT, HONEST and TRUST the program. ASK any and all questions if you're not sure on something. They are there to help you! #soontobehomeowner Kamren L.
